Monday, Monday...I think there's a song that goes like that:) Have a good guys! After today with Margarita's and the lunch from hell (had a great time, too, Tina) - it's back to the gym in the AM!
Obviously meant, have a good ONE guys! I am going to increase my cardio to burn 350 calories this week - was at 300 - along with my weight and core training.
Ok... this week will be 'interesting' as i refuse to "diet" on our trip. The hotel has a killer gym... so my goal is to work out while im gone. Unfortunately... I fell off the roof. DAMN IT. I wont be able to blog starting thur. - and weigh in will be LATE sunday as we dont get back till about 3:30. ohhhhh we are gonna have FUN FUN FUN!!!
wow...my comment didn't stick..not sure if it's me or a computer glitch...crap
I wanted to send Congrats to Tina again for getting the top dog award at work Marci..hang in there...reduction plan is ON Leighann...blast those calories!! WOW!
Hey Leighann....I'm learning self control right now LOL...it's tough because my ROUTINE is no longer :) it's all good...on my 2nd liter of water...spent 4 hours of food prep yesterday...then this AM, I packed Steve's bag for the week at work and his menu LOL...me, I'll just bring mine in daily to work..I don't bite my nails but they are looking crunchy good hehehe (sick jk)
Marci...I didn't lose either, you are not alone..LOL but I can just tell this reduction is going to do something LOL...I feel my tummy calling me..glad you're not feeling hungry...I already had a veggie stick snack too..about to start my 3rd liter of water..didn't do lemon water this AM...forgot..will do this afternoon
You go girls!!! Brenda, I am praying that you will start to fill full very soon! Way to go Marci - no dressing, you are going hard core like Steph1 Speaking of which, where are you, Steph?
Thanks Leighann...Marci I did miss the no drsg...that is hardcore :) Leighann, I hope Angie hooks us up with where she got her monitor...I really really want one :D
and Leigh Ann you know me.... always joking about everything, that's how I live thru certain events!!!!!! LOL gets me thru the day....
I'm telling ya'll, I know I havn't lost, b/c lets face it, I wasn't really focused enough.... I'm heading that way.....
Samantha just brought my bag of lettuce to me.... I'm thinking I'll throw some tuna in it.... just a little... and some asparagus (I found out that is a great natural dieretic)
Marci....yes...we are moving forward..we're all different, with our minds/bodies/how we live each day/what we do to our bodies....speaking of that Marci...Hmmm I'm chewing a sugar free peppermint piece of gum...and I thought it did say on the pkg..coming soon>>>>>caled: this coors for you to chew LMAO...I saw your gum comment and so loved it :D
Brenda - my Heart Rate Monitor was a Christmas present that I'd researched and really wanted. It is a Polar F6 Heart Rate monitor. It has a watch part and the monitor band that I wear when I exercise (I don't even notice it anymore). You can look at the info on Polarusa.com. My girlfriend that works at Fitness Quest in Scripps Ranch got it for my husband since they carry them. They list Sports Authority & Big 5 on the Polar website as places to find them. They have an F4 which I think has less bells & whistles than I wanted that my same girlfriend has & uses/likes.
I absolutely love my HRM. Before I got it, it turns out I was overestimating how many calories I was actually buring and then EATING them figuring I'd be even.
All right ladies. I've got a mini-survey question. Do any of you weight yourself more than once a week? Reason I'm asking is that even though I know that you can fluctuate I do often take a peek midweek or so to see if I'm making any progress. Well this morning I did and it was up from yesterday which makes me wonder - WTF?! Was my Sunday weight the 'fluctuation' and this morning real or vice versa? I have been stuck in this general area for so long and I really kicked butt last week, so I'm a little frustrated. I took my measurements when I started but do not plan to re-measure until 2/10.
YES! Thanks Angela bunches :D Thanks to Leighann's prayers and my water...I'm no longer hungry marci check our last check in posts..I put something up that mentions foods that act as a diuretic
Marci ROFLMAO if it said children....ROFLMAO oh my...sigh WTG on your salad :) your positive and oh so funny attitude really helps me...thank you Marci Well, now that I'm full, I break for lunch in about 7 minutes...LOL will talk to you all again tomorrow!!
ok get this.... the Frickin Blue Bell man just came in my office with 4 different flavors.... (one of the girls husbands).... I told him to get his 6'4" lanky ass out of my office.... the Devil!!!! temptation overcome....
Marci and Brenda...I laughed so hard I cried! Too damn funny - all of it! Marci - it's under the January 21st section. Angela, Thanks for the info on your heart monitor - I know Brenda will get her one. I weigh myself some throughout the week, too. I am either happy or PISSED. See, today I weighed myself...I wanted to see how far my lunch yesterday set me back...but, I was the same as yesterday AM - which I can't believe! So, go figure - I understand your frustration, becuase it doesn't make sense...do we retain/lose that much "water weight?" I will have to do some investigating:)Paul said that I stress myself way to much (and him, too probabably:) by weighing so often. I wish I had measured...I bet your going to have fab results!
I'll be on the blog definitely tonight, it will be sort of like an AA meeting for me!!! LOL I'll need support.... I'm sure I'll be busy picking up the house once again from the rug rats that so lovingly mess it up each day for me....
I'm going back to January 21st... I'll be back....
well that was fantastic information, that was Brenda right? thanks so much... it's hard to put names with faces, without physically meeting ya'll...I'm trying....
I'll have to make sure I double up on the water b/c it sounds like the reduction plan I am doing this week, incorporates lots of these natural dieretics... I must have jumped weeks, I never saw that.... good info!!!
No, I didn't get to prepare for it this weekend...just eating low cal, low fat, etc. I think the working out is what is helping. I will be on-line tonight:)
I really didn't prepare myself.... just made sure I bought some apples, bananas and salad.... hell, that's all I can eat this week!! LOL
I was proud of myself turning down Blue Bell Ice Cream.... WOW... found a little willpower...
regardless, what you are doing is really helping, I saw you had a really good weight loss... congrats.... I am hoping I have a big one next week, and can catch up with all of yall....
Sorry girls. I have had the errands from Hades today. I left at 0930, and just got back at 1300. But I did sneak in nails, and being away from my constantly available kitchen has really helped me stick to my plan today! I had my cucumber sandwich with chamomile tea this morning, and an apple and a small salad around 1100...and that is all! And I do not feel hungry. I haven't really thought about it, but I am sure it will hit me half way through my run! Wish me luck!
Sounds like everyone else is fully immersed in the Reduction diet. Rock on!
Leigh Ann, I loved the pics from this weekend! OMG, Paul has a beastie crawling on him. I would completely freak out with that thing.
UUUUGGGGG> just got a call from Children's Hospital in New Orleans, they are cancelling Gabrielle's appt on Thursday, we have been waiting 6 months to see these specialists... I want to cry.... another obstacle today for me... first the ice cream man, now, someone trying to make me depressed and reach for food... I'm going to fill up my water instead and eat my banana....
Marci, Be strong...that sucks about the appointment - are they rescheduling, is it another 6 months out? Oh, I just hate that for you guys. What is it for - if that's too personal - just ignore:) Stephanie, Good job on sticking with your eating plan - you have such will power, if I had half as much as you, I wouldn't be where I am today:( Everybody, but me, loves to hold George, yuck!
We went shopping at PetSmart for Roger, and the lady who helped us had scratches and bite marks up her arm. I asked her what got her, and she pointed to an aquarium which contained one of those things, don't know if it was exactly like George, but definitely akin. She said she has it as a pet, but they will DEFINITELY bite you. Obviously! I will stick to what my grandpa always said...nothing I feed is going to bite me! :) Watch that thing around the kids...
I'll give you a short version.... b/c I dont' even understand it...
ok, I've been questioning the way she throws up easily since she was born... I couldn't put turtle necks on her, she would throw up... nothing by her neck... they always tell me it's nothing..... she's always been my sickly one... bronchitis, extremely slim for her age group... she was born with a skin disease, she has little bumps all over her arms and legs... which we control... but anyways... towards the end of the school year she started vomitting, and then she would sleep for anywhere from 16 to 20 hours after that... I kept bringing her in... virus, virus virus.... over the summer she had a 3 week episode and she lost about 5 lbs.... at 6 years old, she only weighs 48!!! so I started pushing the matter, more, and I broke down and started crying...and I think they felt sorry for me... and trying to shut me up.... but the blood work revealed a genetic blood disorder, her body can't filter Hemn (spg) which is what brings oxygen to our extremities and our organs.... so her throwing up was her body getting rid of the excess.... she also gets cramps in her legs all the times, and complains that her little fingers and toes, are tingly (I guess falling asleep).. IE: not enough oxygen... so I have to rub them to circulate everything.
it's really complicated.... but I initially had a 2 year wait to get in at Children's and my pediatrician pulled a lot of strings to get me in, in the 6 months.
she had been doing better for the last 3 months, but I've noticed in the last couple of weeks her symptoms are coming back...
they have tested her for everything.. even did an MRI on her brain thinking a tumor.
it's just scary not knowing...
her white blood cells where elevated, they ruled out Leukemia, they did MRI, ruled out brain tumor.... they have ran so many tests.... I just want some answers...
We have had George for two years...picked him up from Scott on our drive here...he's a sweetie. Now that I have said that, watch one of the kids get hurt! No, really - Paul pried his mouth open for a scary pic! Marci, My God, that is awful, how old is she, is this your baby? I would want answers, too! Cry, tear that place apart what ever it tkes to get the answers for her. Now what? Good job on the fruit and crackers:)
Spotted Geicko...it's funny. Let me know when they reschedule her appointment - bless her heart. I am off to pick up all mine and will log back on in a little while!
Marci, that is terrible. I know that is terrifying! My baby had an intracranial bleed from birth trauma, in addition to premature lung syndrome, and they were telling me all of the stuff that she would be predisposed to in her development. I thank God every day that she is healthy and okay, but now I think I overreact to every little thing. Her pediatrician told me recently that she has a bifid uvula, so naturally, working for an ENT physician, I thought, hmmm...does she have a submucous cleft palate? Yep, I read WAY too much!
Not to minimize or detract from your situation, just saying I feel for you...Kiss that baby for me, and I hope you find answers/solutions soon!
thanks Leigh Ann and Stephanie... no, I research way too much myself... I get a copy of every medical record she ever goes to, and I have a 2 inch binder to keep up with everything... so they can't tell me, well, we needed this... I got it!!!
That's terrible about your baby, but it sounds like she is completly beating the odds... :) truly a little miracle...
I love to hear what other people say or think, b/c sometimes I can feel releaved... I don't always know what the doctors are talking about....
I wasn't going to be able to get on until tomorrow but something happened...someone came to my house and had me open the blog!!!!!! I've missed it all: Children's hospital cx their appts to go to Mardi Gras, Steph got bit by Roger and had to have tea, Leighann is in love with George OMG!!!!!!!!!!
nope, none in the house... I just asoon stay away from it all or I will drink the whole damn bottle!!! LOL
I don't know what happened earlier, I made 2 posts and they never showed up....
I ate my 4oz of baked chicken on a wheat bun.... plain... and a cup of green beans... had no salad in the house....
I had made a post on a dish I make, very easy and fast.....
if you have a rice cooker:
brown rice at bottom and put 1/2 the amount of water you usually put and the other 1/2 beef or chicken broth.... then start layering; I do red or new potatoes, cabbage, carrots, green beans onions, yellow, red and green peppers....
it all steams together and the broth makes it taste so yummy... and it's not fattening at all... the most would probably be the potatoes, but most of the time the kids eat that....
did ya'll have soccer... dumb question huh? I'm sure every night with all of ya'll playing...
O M G!!! Brenda, Marci, all you crazy ladies! I just LOVE coming here... i read to catch up and laugh till my poor crunch-sore abs scream! You guys are hillarious! Thanks for keeping it fun!
Mondays...no practice for anyone! So, everyone is home now and the kids are eating dinner. Paul is fixin to grill his chicken for a salad. I baked mine with the kids and then steamed some cauliflower and carrots...I will be having some wine later! I will try your recipe...I love throwing everything in there and getting other stuff, like school lunches and clothes, while it cooks.
Hell I keep writing stuff and don't find where the comment went. If anyone reads this can I have a blog user lesson?????? I weighed in at 124.3 I would love someone to walk with me this SaT or Sun. Either Cowals Mountain or Lake Miramar 8am ish.
MANDY...I am so glad to hear from you - we have been having a ball, ask us any questions you have and we will try to answer them. I will fix your ticker. I can't do Saturday, what abour Sunday? Marci, I don't know if we said this earlier...Mandy and Kathi took care of Tori when she started school - they worked at the daycare she went to before and after school. Just some hx.
Tori, now 19..... well that is awesome... so ya'll have known each other for a long time... that's nice.... Mandy, my shit disappears as well... who knows who is getting it???? LOL I just made the same comment earlier.
Thanks Leighann for throwing that in there LOL...yes, the Mira Mesa history runs DEEP :D I love the rice cooker recipe..will try it...Mandy!! Welcome aboard!! Glad to see you Mandy!! I'm up for a group walk on Sun :D I need to go to bed now...good night
Sounds like I missed some fun drinking and blogging last night! Brenda, honey, you crack me up! Leigh Ann and Mandy, I am so jealous...Cowals Mountain...Lake Miramar for walking this weekend. I have a dumb ol' Civil War Battlefield all around me for walking...no mountains or such here!!
I am having server problems at work, and am dead in the water, so to speak! I cannot work, but now am wide awake at 0200! Just having more coffee and drumming my fingers on my desk! Sometimes I feel like the last person on earth, working this shift...would it be insane to be on the treadmill at this hour? :)
Good Morning Everyone!! Leigh Ann... my day yesterday was good. Today will be better. We have another appt. tonight. I am off tomorrow to get ready for the trip... clean the house, pack etc. Maybe we can do our work out together if we can plan it right! :o)
Here is to Tuesday's, water, crunches, more water, cardio, and even MORE water... :o)
I made it thru day 1!!!!!! yeah me..... no beer last night... that sounds terrible.... and it was :) That is so good that ya'll can walk with each other and hiking and climbing is awesome for the legs and calves... I would have to incline the treadmill in Louisiana!!! ha
Marci, Nicely done! I could REALLY tell a difference when I backed away from the beer. Brenda and Mandy, Yes, Sunday would be good, uh? Tina, I have to leave for class on Wednesday at 3:20, so I like to be done around 2 - so, we could do it right after lunch - give me a call. Stephanie, That sucks about your computer...I understand how alone you must feel at 0200:( I would do the treadmill or catch up with a really good book!
No, my computer is fine, it's on the hospital side...anyways, its resolved now. So today I am working 8-5 like the rest of the world! Back to work! Doing crunches in between files! :)
Good Morning Girls :) Happy Day to all...Leighann and Mandy...let me know when a time is set if you still wanna walk the lake Sun AM
Steph..I would prefer to walk/bike ride the battlefield :D I remember when we were in Arkansas and got to visit one...got goosebumps
Marci...good for you on the no beer!!! I was already absentminded when on nic/caff..now I'm hopeless LOL....but a HAPPY one :D Monday nights kill me though...it's DESERTS :( and tea/coffee ...I go to bible study at my father in laws and that is the refreshments...so instead of saying no, I do enjoy but I need to learn the term SLIVER and one cup of sweetened ice tea...not 3 cups!! Oh my!!
Tina :) lucky duck off to Texas...Hmmmm you'll be in a hotel for several days with your husband....you should pretend you're not married but both were sent there to a conference and hooked up in the same hotel room LOL
Yes, Or top ten, my bad! http://www.townofsmyrna.org/ Town of Smyrna Tennessee - "Rated One Of The Top Ten Places to Retire In America, US News & World Report"
They are going to leave you one day - you hope:) J/K - I undertstand.
I understand about the kids. But how about vacationing here extensively throughout the year? It's the #2 place to vacation (that's an unsubstantiated claim, of course!) :)
I don't know where Leigh Ann read that about it being the #1 place to retire, but I thought that was interesting trivia, when she told me.
Interesting...found this off of MSN's home page - I guess I am good! A study suggests extreme happiness may be bad for you. Findings: 1) "The highest levels of income, education and political participation were reported not by the most satisfied individuals, but by moderately satisfied individuals." 2) Extremely happy people "earned significantly less money" and earned lower school grades than moderately happy people. 3) They "may not live as long," either. Theories: 1) Happiness makes you complacent and kills your drive. 2) It makes you slow to adapt. 3) It makes you too optimistic and insufficiently vigilant about your health. 4) It may overstimulate your cardiovascular system. Researchers' conclusions: 1) "Happiness may need to be moderated for success." 2) "Extremely high levels of happiness might not be a desirable goal." Human Nature's conclusions: 1) Success may need to be moderated for happiness. 2) Extremely high levels of success might not be a desirable goal.
OK...must finish up some reading for tonights class...let's see how long I can stay off the blog:)
don't ever delete comments, brenda; especially if it's anything juicy...lol; i did input my weight for leigh ann to do my ticker thing; think i've lost a couple more, but not sure.
WOW! That's pretty impressive :) Steph ..Steve and I did go to Smyrna when the Wrather's lived there..it was prior to the home they own now. We loved it...I especially loved the family farm on Paul's side and their cemetary...the river boats...glow bugs...fire works in the backyard...fried pickles...REAL dirt ...LIGHTNING....Cracker Barrel...and the best The Wrather Family :D clap clap clap
Brenda - I was wondering if I had met you in person last spring? Did Leigh Ann recruit you to play Sunday night soccer with the ladies and you hurt your toe? I broke my wrist in that game and have decided that soccer is far too dangerous and should be left to the children to play! I probably got hurt because there was only water in my water bottle - had it been a different 'beverage' I'd probably have been just peachy!
Aw, y'all are talking about my home! (sniff, sniff!) Brenda, that is an excellent description of summer here! I used to catch lightning bugs in a jar with holes poked in the top when I was a kid... Yes, we do have real dirt here, and lots of ROCK! You would be totally stressed, trying to grow one of your beautiful gardens! Well, tomatoes do well anyway, up by the house!! Come back soon and see us!
Marci, we go to Gatlinburg a lot too. Just further northeast and a bit cooler than Smyrna.
Tina...Congrats to Zach!!! Oh you silly girls...I'll give it up...and it ain't pretty...notice how my friend ASSUMED my fantasy was from a romance novel......................................................................how long can I let this one ride........................................................................................................................................ ...................................she just knows me to well, but then again....she taught me some things...LOL...cleavage, and that I should use it...ok ..good bye now
No, hardly ever does it snow in this part of TN, anyway. Just a dusting sometimes. It's usually always east. I don't do snow, either. It's pretty to look at in pictures, and that's about it!
Dang, Brenda! Cleavage...that's hot! :) Although I too would not be an authority in that area. Would have to defer to my friend Leigh Ann. Let's talk about her while she is studying and not paying attention! :)
ROFLMAS...Girls, I paid good money for these babies and I intend to get my money's worth! Marci, The grandbaby is too sweet and I know as mom would say, you are going to ruin her!:)We will have to meet in Gatlinburg some time, we love it there. Kathi, I need to know how much you lost...that is the way I was doing your ticker, I will look at it later though to be sure. Glad your back! Angela, Yes, that's Brenda with her broken toe. She doesn't do soccer either. Nice about the jammies! Stephanie, Those are nice words about where we are from/gonna live, uh? Tina, Rock on, Girl!!! Now, I am off to the gym before I go to class.
What a trip...Angela = broken wrist from soccor!!!!!!!!!! WOW yes, I am Brenda = broken toe from soccor ....just too funny!! I wondered what Leighann was talking about...I missed a comment up there...Leighann...one day, when I lose weight...I will wear a halter top LOL (a pushed up one) :D
Marci...hope your headaches go away...800mg motrin (?)
I am hoping to drop a size or two if I lose some lbs.... but I've always had huge boobies.. My two oldest are blessed as well.
have ya'll seen the commercial about dieting??? man and woman, both plump.... she said, this is what happened to "Herb"... and he gets thin, and she says this is what happened to me.... she stays the same size everywhere but loses her boobs!!! it's hysterical... but true....
Brenda, let me know if you find a halter top that "pushes up" instead of "squeezing flat"...you know what I mean? The sports bra syndrome. I love my pushup bras, and feel like something's terribly WRONG w/o a bra for a halter top! Victoria's Secret makes good money on me!
I wish one day, someone would tell me the "secret" ha
If I got a push up bra, I would probably smother!! LOL
I'm just learning at 40 years old and 4 kids later, that I need to treat myself and pamper myself.... I missed the boat on that one... my sister fusses me all the time.... I'll get it one day.
hey ladie, I hope everyone is well I will try to catch up on the comments but I have not been home the last few days except about 4 hours to sleep!! Tonight is my last shift for the week but just wanted to say hi!! My good friend has been kind enough to update the blog for me so check out the new weight on the "biggest gainer " if ya get a chance!!
Ok... how did we get on boobs??? and bra's??? Sheesh... now... if my weight would go THERE, i would Stay fat. HAHAHA. Steph - I too am a Victorias Secret bra buyer! And you could serve SOUP in these things! hahahahahaha. Hey whatever works! lol
I guess I shouldn't complain. Mine bounced right back to perky after my babies (went from a B to a DD cup while pregnant!!). Guess that's partially to do with wearing good bras. My mom would be proud..something she told me actually stuck! :)
Crystal...It shows you lost a total of 5 pounds!!!! Why did you say biggest gainer?? You're doing great for someone who's working nights, lots of kids, and awaiting those papers on the adoption :D
Hey Tina....I'm heading to Victoria Secret on payday...I've only bought the Amber Romance pretty smelly stuff there....I've been missing out
Marci...u crack me up!! oh my!! I think anyone who has that many kids can do whatever they want...I'll step aside, no problem but don't get smothered!
Wonder Woman Steph! with Push up bra and all!!! LOL you are truley amazing... I know I couldn't do it without my sleep at night.... Gabby woke us up at 2 am. and I've been draggin but all day...
I've got to get home and see whats going to happen for supper... I need to go by the store.... not enough time in every day... that's for sure....
WOW Crystal 5 lbs... you are my hero. that is fantastic. congrats... and everyone else also that met their goals.... I'm getting on track.... :)
LOL, Marci! But I am not Wonder Woman. I am tired as hell all day and night. The pushup bra is all that holds me up, I think. Just a normal girl who refuses to stop when I get something in my head (that can be both good and bad).
A testament to the struggle to maintain willpower...I just cooked pork loin (battered and fried, no less, at husband's request, who is sick of everything baked), mashed potatoes, baby peas and mac and cheese, and don't forget fresh French bread. I really don't have a taste for the fried stuff, but I REALLY wanted some of that bread with my little green salad and tea! I was good, I swear!
Ladies, I have enough cleavage to spare, so if anyone wants a wedge, let me know...lol.
Marci, I read your post from yesterday about your youngest...I know you said that she has a blood disorder, but could she also be having seizures (either Petit or Grand Mal)? You might want to suggest that an EEG (scan of her brain activity) be done. What made me think of it was the "tingly" feeling she gets in her extremities, which MIGHT be also be an indicator for seizures. Just a suggestion from someone who's had a number of medical tests done herself.
Hi everyone...I am back from school - he let us out early! YAH! As always you guys are a riot! Kathi, a wedge, too funny! Steph, good job on being good! Dinner sounded wonderful. Marci, it is hard when the babies wake up! Tina, where are you going shopping for jammies at? Brenda, what are you buying at Victoria Secrets, Ooh LA LA:) Crystal, be kind to yourself, you are doing great!
WOW Congrats to Kathi on those numbers :D Leighann...I want to spoil myself at Victoria Secret...I normally buy from Target...about 2 years ago I finally tossed out a cute short nightgown a friend bought me when I was pregnant with Allyson or Dana...can't remember...but I had it for at least 18 years and wore it all the time :D dreamy!
Steph...amazing...you made that yummy dinner and only pulled the bread and salad for yourself. That's serious self control you have ...I'm really learning that..learned alot of it in the last week and a half :)
I'm going to pull up something to share on the blog...gotta go find it
Steph, what great will power, cause this girl would have had the french bread!!! :) Go Kathi on your weightloss, I am trying my hardest this week, and I am hoping for a big loss come Sunday, 2 days done, sticking to the diet, and yes, NO BEER!!!! I thought about epilepsy, My mom, and 2 out of my 6 siblings have it... that's why they did the MRI, it showed nothing.... Children's called back, and they fit us in at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, I guess they heard the breakdown in my voice... can't take much more..
I don't know if I could fit my leg or one boob in anything from Victoria's secret... it would have to be a 2 for 1 sale so I could sew them together!!! LOL
Brenda, believe me you keep me in stitches as well honey...
I steamed some brown rice tonight with colored bellpeppers and onions and thru in the "flaxseed?". It was very good. I think that is the little "sunflower seed" someone talked about once, it's high in fiber. (i'm learning names slowly)
“All food has calories, that goes without say, so saying these foods are negative calorie sounds impossible, right? Well, these are foods that take up more caloric energy to digest then the calories that are in them. Your body has to expend energy in order to digest and absorb foods, in fact, 10% of your daily caloric intake is used to process foods in your body. So these "negative" calorie foods are foods that take more calories to digest then actual calories in the item of food.” Make sure to eat them raw with out any additions.
Here is a list: asparagus beets broccoli cabbage (green) carrots cauliflower celery celery chicory Chile peppers (hot) cucumber dandelion endive garden cress garlic green beans lamb's lettuce lettuce onion papaya radishes spinach turnip zucchini apple cranberries grapefruit lemon mango orange pineapple raspberries strawberries tangerine
Fruits that contain ascorbic acid or Vitamin C has a fat burning quality. It reduces fats content and can dilute or liquefy fat making it easier to flush out of your body or burn off. It also works on cholesterol as well, making it hard to deposit in your blood vessels
Soybeans contain lecithin, which will “shield” cells from accumulating fat. It also helps to break down fatty deposits. Eating applesauce and apples will limit the amount of fat your body absorbs. It contains pectin, which limits the amount of fat your cells can absorb.
Marci...I'll say prayers for your daughter and your family .. in that the docs find what's hurting your little one ..I can't imagine your stress load!! You are a strong woman
you are so good with your nutritional pointers.... I will try and print all that at my office tomorrow... that's good to keep handy... I may put on the inside of my cabinet that my dishes are in, so when I grab a plate I see the negative calorie foods....
I think I'm going to bed, its 10:30 here and I'm exhausted... Have to take my vitamin..
marci, i would still suggest the eeg; it's more definitive than the mri; it shows what the brain is actually "doing", rather than "structures", like the mri; also, if they get her to go to sleep, they can flash a strobe light while she's sleeping, which'll "activate" any seizures she may be having...the eeg'll be mute if they did an "awake" (for lack of a better word) mri; did they have to sedate her for it?
hey; i have irish and italian in me; i don't know the meaning of shutting up
Kathi, she was completely sedated when they ran the MRI... they called me yesterday and we go tomorrow morning at 8am. so I can see what they say ..... working on day 3..... I sneaked on the scale, I am showing 2 lbs down, so I am excited after 2 days... and no beer!!! I'll go weigh on Sunday at the gym b/c it shows the . as well.....
Good Morning Everyone! Tina, give me a call as soon as you can and let me know what time you will be by this afternoon, I have some homework I have to finsh this morning - so I need to get started:) Victoria's...I am so treating myself and Paul! Brenda, speaking of which, when are you buying new jammies? Too funny about your "dreamy" gown and thanks for the list - I will be using it. Kathi, great information on the doctors and tests! Marci, let us know what you find out at the doctors... I would have stayed on line longer last night, but Paul was getting all of our tax stuff together and I used that time to crochet some.
It is exciting! Gosh, I hate homework...I am trying to submit my research project to the IRB (Institutional Review Board) at SDSU and I got about half way thru and am now lost. Had to email my professor for guidance! Great:(
Leighann...wow...my head is dizzy reading your last post...higher education....LOL
Kathi...I'm not sure what applies to anyone when I post stuff..it's just stuff that we filter through and see if it's something we can use or not in our own lives...I'm not sure what would apply to you..If your having problems in the tummy area...I would stick to your doc or someone here who may know..etc
Marci, again....thoughts/prayers for you and your little one..WTG!!! your weight loss is awesome!!!! I'm not sure where I'll end up...generally following the plan LOL....Keep up the good work Marci!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, a blog break is nice! I need to go and work out - back away from the school books for a while:)It seems like this entire morning was more about organization - but, I needed it and now I know exactly where I stand in all of my classes and upcoming assignments. Hope everyone is having a great day!
went to the doc again today for f/u from er visit (had another one of my episode thingies - leigh ann, you know what i'm talking about, i think :D); potassium's back to normal; have to stay on the pills though :(...he's referring me to a podiatrist since my heels hurt like shit when i walk; may have to wear "orthodics" again, like i did when i was younger - have very flat feet
i've walked about a mile and a half today already and drank a little over a quart of water, so far
leigh ann, i can't even begin to tell you how much better i feel since i started walking...today, i really started feelin it in my butt; feels like it's gettin firm...YEAH BABY
AW Leigh Ann! That is soooo sweet! I think Im LUCKY... as I have been blessed with a wonderful friend! :o) Thanks for letting me chew on your ear today while we cardio'ed. Whew.
Well... gonna go tuck in for nighty nite as we are up at 4 and to the airport at 6! IM SO EXCITED!!!
Have a great week ladies and I will holler on Sunday late!
I've got a metabolism question for you guys. I was reading up and am not sure if I'm screwing up things.
If I don't put my shoes right next to my bed, I won't exercise in the morning. This morning I was all prepped and got in some toning, grabbed a banana for breakfast after exercise and raced out the door. Lunch time came at work and I extended my jog/walk and got back from the locker room and had 5 minutes to run to a meeting, therefore only a cucumber for lunch. I didn't get to eat anything else until after 3:30p. So I am wondering, after all that hard, intense exercise did I completely screw myself because it was done without enough 'fuel'? I read that you burn calories for up to 4-8 hours after aerobic exercise.
no more walking done today...heels have had enough (i actually took a nap today); water consumption is half a gallon; had fried egg sandwich and a glass of oj for breakfast (yes, i actually ATE BREAKFAST TODAY), nothing for lunch, and a can of soup for dinner - chunkies, chicken noodle...was FABU (also had a can of diet pepsi)
ty brenda for the prayers...could always use the extra help
that's true, angela; so i don't think you screwed yourself at all; i can eat basically whatever i want now (including fast food) and don't really have to worry about it cuz my metabolism is picking up cuz of the walking...
OK, THE DIET COKE THING IS WAY TOO COOL; hate to think what it did to the grass though...and YUCK; a diet coke shower for the poor guys that set all that up...now i really can't wait to see the fountain display at the Bellagio (maybe the venetian) in vegas in july...going there with a friend to see donny and marie
Angela, I don't think you did any harm. In fact, you created a calorie deficit and increased your metabolism for the day by working out, and that is how you tap those fat stores. Your body didn't have an energy source on hand from its primary source (what's in your tummy) so it goes into fat burning mode...YES! At least, that is what I have always been told. Sounds like you are doing great, if you can operate on that little bit and not feel bad. Your body will tell you what it needs if you listen! I love the cucumber. I have a ton of it.
Brenda, thanks for the shout out. I actually ran 7 miles yesterday; 4in the a.m. and 3 in the p.m. I wish I had time/energy to do that every day! :) I know; nag, nag, excuses, excuses. I will shut up now.
Kathi, girl, try boiling those eggs and toasting the bread and maybe spreading on a little jam, if you like. Or if you are brave, make whites only in the microwave and toss out those bad-for-you yolks. Ah, I love an egg white omelette. I am going to come out there and whip you, for having fried stuff!!! ;O)
LOL steph; i know that fried things aren't good; but i haven't had one in so long...btw, i walked it off yesterday by walking that mile and a half. PLEASE DON'T WHIP ME...LOL; i do hit back...roflol. i've never tried just the white of an egg...eeewww
Morning, Steph and Kathi - both of you were are up early today! Glad you liked the diet coke video!
Angela, I am not sure...I have been letting Paul feed me since I failed so bad with the Atkins. He is all about fueling up for his workout, usually before the workout I enjoy more carbs (small meal) and after I need more protein, so he says. Small, being the key word. Like this week we have been having a few dried cranberries - no fat, high carbs, etc. before our workout. I have heard about the fat stores, though, being burned when your tummy is empty...there you go - just enough to confuse you!
yeah, i was up early today leigh ann; but i'm ready to crash again. took an ativan earlier, so i'm able to easily go back to sleep. will go for walk later, when it warms up a little...froze my ass off yesterday morning
Kathi - Stephanie's right! Ditch the egg yolk or better yet go to Eggbeaters. 1/4cp=1egg but I generally use 1/3cp=1egg. My kids have never seen real eggs in my fridge. There are also less expensive store brands. They are 30cal/svg, 0mg cholesterol, 0g fat, and 6g protein. They make great scrambled eggs & omlettes.
Ladies - Thanks all for the input. We'll see how things go Sunday. Knowing my body, it will probably just give me 'the finger' when I get on the scale Sunday am for inconviencing it yesterday.
Now if it would only weigh the finger...
I prepped again this morning to work out, but that bed was sooo warm & comfy.
Angela, Too funny...I weighed more than I did yesterday...I may be getting the finger, too:) Can you guys see the results of the poll? Or can you just vote? Everyone just vote once.
Angela, love the shoes by the bed for motivation :) and your finger vs scale..love that to!!!!!!!!!! Kathi...hang in there and take care of your feet...sounds really painful! Marci....hoping for the best Steph.....Donny and Marie!!!!!!!!!!is this a few shows or a permanant act...LUCKY!! Leighann....Mmmmmmm dried cranberries :) wish I had them right now LOL
brenda, it was me, not steph, who's seeing donny nad marie in vegas. and to answer your question...they are going to be there for three years doing shows...THEY'RE BACK!!!!!! when my friend and i are going, they'll be there just for a week; not really sure when the three year thing'll start...hoping they'll announce it in july; I AM TOTALLY OVER THE MOON ABOUT JULY. i may need a few of you to come over and give me a good whack across the face or crack over the head to knock me back into reality
Thanks Kathi :D That sounds so very exciting (sorry steph, my headache must have been in my eyes too)
Leighann...I hope this comment makes it on the blog LOL..if not...Hmmm, I dunno my headache is going away now as I type..thanks.. Leighann.....I'm able to see the results of the poll once I click on it...and yes, I did vote just once :)
Hey, I am jealous of Kathi too. Donny and Marie sound like fun. I don't know if I will ever make it to Vegas (or anywhere else that would require my butt on a plane). I have never flown, but Leigh Ann and I are working on a fall trip this year that will remedy that, hopefully! Right, Leigh Ann? :() I am ready to go now. I wonder how Martha's Vineyard is in winter? Probably yucky.
And yes, Leigh Ann, it has been a cold, wet day here today. Definitely a good day for hot tea and a good book.
Go in early October. NE is pretty then w/the changing colors. It is quite the draw. Did it many yrs ago and it was nice. Although it was a little cold for my SoCal thinned blood!
Donny & Marie huh! Enjoy. I remember being in love with Donny. Maybe if I work real hard I can get back into my purple Dittos!
lol angela; yeah, going to donny and marie show...i can't wait; just REALLY have to do everything possible to save money; i'll be eating pb&j for the next 5 months...lol; mac and cheese, you know, that staples
i'm bummed about the poll, ladies. i think it'll be a good incentive; even though we're all adults and don't really need a "reward" for losing weight, i think of it as a encouragement tool; like maybe couple of bucks each... (selfishly, i could use to money for vegas...lol)
Angela....DITTOS :) I so remember them LOL what flashbacks...good ones :)
Steph/Leighann...a fall trip to the northeast!!!! WOW...lucky girls!!!!!
Kathi.....I'll continue my prayers for you too LOL...it'll be wealth for you trip so you don't have to eat all that bad food to save for it ...but then again...looks like there are still some votes left to be cast in the polls
Moment of truth ....I enjoy sugar free hard candies to help with cravings (that could possibly take an eye out) oh my...4 candies equal 45 calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the sugar free gum I chew...no problem...I burn those calories chewing (I chomp gum)
So, what are ditto's? Does sugar free gum have calories...I have to go and see. Damn those candies - 45! I just got home from school - @#$#@#$%! That's how I feel about it.
didn't walk today or drink as much water...and had a heaping plate of spaghetti for dinner..YUM!! but now i'm feeling guilty, so i must walk and drink tomorrow; the running smiley got ahead of me today, damn it
I have never heard of Dittos. Angela, you will have to enlighten us! I do remember Donny and Marie on TV though, when I was very small, and there were only 3 TV stations..everyone remember that? I told my child that and he was stunned! :) Only 3 channels...cartoons on all day Saturday and church on all day Sunday. Actually had to go outside and play to entertain ourselves...What a terrible childhood, right? :)
Brenda, I also keep some sugarless gum on hand for craving attacks! But be careful, I have heard that chewing too much gum can actually make you bloated and cause indigestion. Not sure how that works; I guess it's because you swallow air? Hmmm...I think we are better to stick with celery and carrots for snacks! We will go into "fiber OD"!! Will we ever win? :)
I do remember the three channels and going outside for entertainment, Steph. I'm the youngest of four, so I always had something/someone to do and play with.
I kind of feel bad for my siblings though...because of my medical probs when I was little, they had to go back and forth to the doctors offices/hospitals, so they didn't really have a childhood either. This was very early on (like until I was about 2 or 3)
Mmm...that must have been tough for all of you. None of my siblings had medical conditions, unless meanness is a medical condition, and if that's the case, we were all terminal. Fought all of the time! I love them now, but don't get to see them much.
Happy Friday all!!! Leighann...hope your Friday is better than last night...are you on the field tonight?? If so, what time?? Yes, gum has VERY FEW like maybe 5 calories...Steph, you are so very right about the celery, but I can't give up my sugar free gum!!! UGH I'll give up on the sugarfree hard candy....I did, in a major way, increase my cardio because I knew I had a few areas of concern LOL
Dittos LOL...we must google the 70s LOL...I remember the name and that they were one of my fav...but for the life of me...I can't recall what they look like hehehe
Happy Friday...Happy Eating It's 8:21am and I have eaten at work: plate of steamed soybeans with pepper,pear,2 baggies mixed veggies lots of water with lemon slices...and now I'm eyeing my apple LOL....woke up too late to do my applesauce/blueberries and cinnamon/flax...Mmmmm See how I have deviated from the Reduction Plan a bit...LOL
Hey ya'll! so glad to be back on line at work... my computer crashed at home Wednesday... so I have been in withdrawals! Going to get fixed this weekend hopefully.
Gabby's visit was good with the neurologist, he was very thorough and spend lots of time with us. He is thinking Epilepsy (which runs in my family) he has ordered a "sleep deprived" EEG on February 28th at Childrens. (you know your stuff Kathi!!!!!) finally some answers! thanks for praying everyone!
Children's Hospitals are AWESOME. Sounds like he's a great doctor...any time a doctor spends a lot of time with you, is tops in my book. Yeah, they're gonna want her to sleep (that's why they call is sleep deprived), so they can flash the strobe. I'm glad that they were finally able to give you the answers that you were looking for. Anytime you have other questions, let me know.
Oh, the Dittos are too cute. Might have to have a pair of the low-waist ones. They would look hot with my pink diamond belly ring and wedges...smokin! :)
Sorry, I am so looking forward to spring clothes/shoes/bag/jewelry shopping.
Leigh Ann, how's that cute bag holding up? Ready for a new one? It's addictive!
Here we go again...the work computer isn't liking the blog :( I may have to not have blog breaks at work...oh no!!!
Marci...Epilepsy...wow and it runs in your family too...hopefully it won't take too long to get to a point of manageability on that!! Support group here on the blog :) And Kathi you have lots of experience to add for it :D
Steph...you're outfit sounds the cutest :) and the pink bellybutton ring!!! too sweet :) Yes, when I'm down on the weight, I'm going to dress cute :D
Brenda, I think you are a doll! ;) Here's to cute spring clothes! You will get to wear yours sooner than me, lucky Cali girl! Won't be warm enough for shorts here until mid May.
Marci, Glad that you got some answers for Gabby and the doctor sounds wonderful! Good job, Kathi. Brenda, You have done a great job this week with your plan. You and Marci, both. Stephanie, Your outfit does sound hot...but, I called the Dittos first, J/K:)
I've so ready for warm weather, it's a beautiful sunny day in Louisiana, but still cold.... :(
I did have a little "celebration" cheat last night with a few brewskies.... but I think I deserved them... stressful day!
Damn, I missed so many posts in 2 days! that is just ridiculous.... it's going to be hard over the weekend, I may swing into my office and check if I come in to town! :)
True, Leigh Ann, it is awkward to discover your friend also has your outfit. I wouldn't do that to you! I guess I will stick to my Buckle jeans. They are expensive, but they really are the best.
Marci, I hope you get your computer fixed real soon - it's such a pain to be without one these days. Stephanie, Yes, that would be kinda of funny, but I was just joking.
OMG! Are you all messin' with me?! Not remember Dittos - I can't believe it. I had light pink, hot pink, red, purple and lt. blue. After tons of begging and groveling with my mom! I wonder if today's version has the horse-shoe seam on the back still?
I about peed my pants when I opened the blog and saw them up there.
I just got to my computer today. My son got an academic award at school this morning so I took the day off. I've been running all over.
Tomorrow is my 5k Super Run. I have to be down in Mission Bay to check in by around 6:30am. It's going to be FREEZING! I will have to run extra just to keep warm.
Marci - It's good to hear that the Dr visit was positive. I'm sure that feels like you are finally making progress.
Has anyone heard if Crystal got her papers she was waiting for?
Angela, GOOD LUCK tomorrow...I will be thinking of you. I would love a picture of you so that I post it here on the blog. I know everyone would enjoy it! Yes, I had to google the dittos - too funny. That website has a whole lot of them:) Crystal has not rec'd her paperwork yet...it's so that she can go and pick up the baby girl that she is adopting from Africa.
Leigh Ann, I think you are going to have to put a stick figure up (or pix of Cindy Crawford or Brooke Shields). My sweet, loving husband is NOT going to get up and come cheer me on! Neither are my wonderful children! They are blaming it on they won't be back in time for 9a practice and have to set up for Spring reg. Can you believe that!?
Boy I tell ya! No wonder I don't bother shopping at Victoria's secret...
Enjoy soccer tonight (I'm assuming you have a game). Angela :o)
LOL - dern them! How long do you think it's going to take you? You are so much braver than me...maybe we should fly Steph out here - she could be your running buddy. Yes, soccer tonight - at 10pm...that is too late for me. But, Tina is gone so the girls will be hurting.
Race actually starts at 7:35a. I should be done no later than 8:15a if I wind up walking some. I will have to pick up my race t-shirt. I hope to be back home by 9a. It depends on where I wind up parking. If I park close to the course, they keep the lot closed until 9a, so getting out of there will depend on the second 5k back to the car. The car with the heater! And I intend to count the to/from the car in my exercise.
10pm is way too late. I will hopefully be sleeping. Good luck.
Marci....I noticed one of your comments said about going by the office to check email..."if I come in to town"...WOW....so very lucky!! I must know...what does it look like around you, outdoors :) What a dream~~~~~~
Wow, 10 pm soccer. You all are crazy! I would have to come straight from the field and sit down to work! I hope you did well, Leigh Ann!
Angela, I am thinking about you this morning. I wish I could be there too, to run with you! Running in the cold BITES! Yes, hubby would have to make it up to you by maybe a foot rub or your back with a nice soapy loofa in a hot bath when you get back? No Victoria's Secret goodies for inattentive boys! :) Sorry, I am craving attention right now, and looking at my husband who is sound asleep and snoring! Depressing to have different schedules...
I hope everyone has great results on the scale this weekend, after all of that healthy eating all week!
Morning Stephanie, Yes, late game and then a few beers, didn't get home until one! Have to get to the gym this am...we are going wine tasting with Brenda and Steve, since we didn't get to go last weekend. Angela, Run girl! That is so very cool. Hope you finished strong. Looking forward to your update. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend. I wish the sun would shine here in Sol Cal!
Did you win Leighann??? Oh my gosh...I can't imagine late games like that...I wanted to go watch but...nope LOL
Angela...I'm sure you enjoyed running without the sun...can't wait to here how you did :D The sun can come out now LOL
Steph...I'm not a runner but how do people run in the frigid winter?? amazing to me...boggles my mind LOL Where do you do you work on the computer at home...you don't literally turn around and see your hubby sleep do you?? I would be mad at him LOL even though, he's suppose to be sleeping at night ...oh my LOL
Well...must go....the wine touring van is due to arrive any time now (that would be the Wrather van) I think I'm equally excited to ride in the van as I am to go wine tasting...I've only been to tasting rooms...not the actual wineries...HUGS to all
Brenda, actually yes, I can literally look over my shoulder and see my husband sleeping while I work at night. We run a tight ship around here. I recently downsized and moved my office out of the small bedroom it was in, so my daughter can have her own space. She was sleeping in the room with us, which was not working. She is almost 2 and wasnt sleeping through the night because of hubby's snores. She sleeps so much better now, in her own room. And I now have a work space in my bedroom. Trust me, it's much better this way. It works until we find funds for a remodel, or a bigger house! Gotta make room for those babies!

Yes, I am so excited for you guys and you shouldn't "diet" - At least you will be back on the roof for your trip. LOL - be sure to get lots of pics!
Morning Brenda, how is it going with the reduction plan?
Hey Leighann....I'm learning self control right now LOL...it's tough because my ROUTINE is no longer :) it's all good...on my 2nd liter of water...spent 4 hours of food prep yesterday...then this AM, I packed Steve's bag for the week at work and his menu LOL...me, I'll just bring mine in daily to work..I don't bite my nails but they are looking crunchy good hehehe (sick jk)

Thanks Leighann...Marci I did miss the no drsg...that is hardcore :) Leighann, I hope Angie hooks us up with where she got her monitor...I really really want one :D
Brenda,
Go read Marci comment under the check in section. You can truly appreciate this! The rest of you should get a kick out of it, too.
Brenda, I know, it just sucks...

I'm telling ya'll, I know I havn't lost, b/c lets face it, I wasn't really focused enough.... I'm heading that way.....
Samantha just brought my bag of lettuce to me.... I'm thinking I'll throw some tuna in it.... just a little...
and some asparagus (I found out that is a great natural dieretic)
any other suggestions???????
Marci
Marci....yes...we are moving forward..we're all different, with our minds/bodies/how we live each day/what we do to our bodies....speaking of that Marci...Hmmm I'm chewing a sugar free peppermint piece of gum...and I thought it did say on the pkg..coming soon>>>>>caled: this coors for you to chew
LMAO...I saw your gum comment and so loved it :D
Hi Ladies,
Brenda - my Heart Rate Monitor was a Christmas present that I'd researched and really wanted.
Angela
All right ladies. I've got a mini-survey question. Do any of you weight yourself more than once a week? Reason I'm asking is that even though I know that you can fluctuate I do often take a peek midweek or so to see if I'm making any progress. Well this morning I did and it was up from yesterday which makes me wonder - WTF?! Was my Sunday weight the 'fluctuation' and this morning real or vice versa? I have been stuck in this general area for so long and I really kicked butt last week, so I'm a little frustrated. I took my measurements when I started but do not plan to re-measure until 2/10.
Aaarrrrrgggg!
Angela
YES! Thanks Angela bunches :D
Thanks to Leighann's prayers and my water...I'm no longer hungry
marci check our last check in posts..I put something up that mentions foods that act as a diuretic
ok great, I"ll go back and look...
and when you or Leigh Ann, find the gum, mail a pack to Louisiana!!!
I ate my big salad, w/ 2 oz of baked chicken... (I almost typed children... ha dilerious)
with asparagus....
Marci
I must be looking in the wrong section for teh naturatal dierectics....

marci
Marci ROFLMAO if it said children....ROFLMAO oh my...sigh
WTG on your salad :) your positive and oh so funny attitude really helps me...thank you Marci
Well, now that I'm full, I break for lunch in about 7 minutes...LOL
will talk to you all again tomorrow!!
ok get this....
the Frickin Blue Bell man just came in my office with 4 different flavors.... (one of the girls husbands)....
I told him to get his 6'4" lanky ass out of my office....
the Devil!!!! temptation overcome....
Marci
Marci and Brenda...I laughed so hard I cried! Too damn funny - all of it! Marci - it's under the January 21st section.
Angela,
Thanks for the info on your heart monitor - I know Brenda will get her one.
I wish I had measured...I bet your going to have fab results!
are you also doing the reduction plan????
I'll be on the blog definitely tonight, it will be sort of like an AA meeting for me!!! LOL
I'll need support....
I'm sure I'll be busy picking up the house once again from the rug rats that so lovingly mess it up each day for me....
I'm going back to January 21st...
I'll be back....
Marci
I'm back.....
well that was fantastic information, that was Brenda right? thanks so much... it's hard to put names with faces, without physically meeting ya'll...I'm trying....
I'll have to make sure I double up on the water b/c it sounds like the reduction plan I am doing this week, incorporates lots of these natural dieretics...
I must have jumped weeks, I never saw that....
good info!!!
Marci
No, I didn't get to prepare for it this weekend...just eating low cal, low fat, etc. I think the working out is what is helping. I will be on-line tonight:)
I really didn't prepare myself....
just made sure I bought some apples, bananas and salad....
hell, that's all I can eat this week!! LOL
I was proud of myself turning down Blue Bell Ice Cream.... WOW...
found a little willpower...
regardless, what you are doing is really helping, I saw you had a really good weight loss... congrats.... I am hoping I have a big one next week, and can catch up with all of yall....
Marci
UUUUGGGGG>
just got a call from Children's Hospital in New Orleans, they are cancelling Gabrielle's appt on Thursday, we have been waiting 6 months to see these specialists...
I want to cry....
another obstacle today for me...
first the ice cream man, now, someone trying to make me depressed and reach for food...
I'm going to fill up my water instead and eat my banana....
Marci
Marci,
Be strong...that sucks about the appointment - are they rescheduling, is it another 6 months out? Oh, I just hate that for you guys. What is it for - if that's too personal - just ignore:)
Stephanie,
Good job on sticking with your eating plan - you have such will power, if I had half as much as you, I wouldn't be where I am today:( Everybody, but me, loves to hold George, yuck!
I kept bringing her in... virus, virus virus.... over the summer she had a 3 week episode and she lost about 5 lbs.... at 6 years old, she only weighs 48!!! so I started pushing the matter, more, and I broke down and started crying...and I think they felt sorry for me... and trying to shut me up.... but
the blood work revealed a genetic blood disorder, her body can't filter Hemn (spg) which is what brings oxygen to our extremities and our organs.... so her throwing up was her body getting rid of the excess....
she also gets cramps in her legs all the times, and complains that her little fingers and toes, are tingly (I guess falling asleep)..
IE: not enough oxygen... so I have to rub them to circulate everything.
it's really complicated....
but I initially had a 2 year wait to get in at Children's and my pediatrician pulled a lot of strings to get me in, in the 6 months.
she had been doing better for the last 3 months, but I've noticed in the last couple of weeks her symptoms are coming back...
they have tested her for everything.. even did an MRI on her brain thinking a tumor.
it's just scary not knowing...
her white blood cells where elevated, they ruled out Leukemia,
they did MRI, ruled out brain tumor.... they have ran so many tests.... I just want some answers...
I ate a banana and wheat crackers...
Marci
I know, definitely not a short version... don't think there is one.....
Marci
We have had George for two years...picked him up from Scott on our drive here...he's a sweetie. Now that I have said that, watch one of the kids get hurt! No, really - Paul pried his mouth open for a scary pic!
Marci,
My God, that is awful, how old is she, is this your baby? I would want answers, too! Cry, tear that place apart what ever it tkes to get the answers for her.
Now what? Good job on the fruit and crackers:)
they will call me back... trying to fit me in before March...
I'm sure Mardi Gras is screwing eveything up..
She is 6 years old.
I am assuming it is one of those dragon lizard things....???
my work computer sometimes won't open pictures...
I'll look when I get home....
Marci
Marci
We are here if you need us! Even if it's just to vent.
I wasn't going to be able to get on until tomorrow but something happened...someone came to my house and had me open the blog!!!!!! I've missed it all: Children's hospital cx their appts to go to Mardi Gras, Steph got bit by Roger and had to have tea, Leighann is in love with George
OMG!!!!!!!!!!
well damn I lost my post again...
you see, usually my Coors Lites help me stay focused!!! LOL
Brenda, I needed a panty liner earlier when I read your post....
Is Kathi doing ok, haven't seen a post from her in a while.. just curious.
Leigh Ann, KK does another ultrasound tomorrow, will forward a new pic.... :)
Marci
Marci,
Sounds good...I know you and Brenda had me ROF earlier...are you going to have some wine later?
nope, none in the house...
I had made a post on a dish I make, very easy and fast.....
if you have a rice cooker:
brown rice at bottom and put 1/2 the amount of water you usually put and the other 1/2 beef or chicken broth.... then start layering; I do
red or new potatoes,
cabbage,
carrots,
green beans
onions,
yellow, red and green peppers....
it all steams together and the broth makes it taste so yummy... and it's not fattening at all...
the most would probably be the potatoes, but most of the time the kids eat that....
did ya'll have soccer... dumb question huh? I'm sure every night with all of ya'll playing...
Marci
O M G!!! Brenda, Marci, all you crazy ladies! I just LOVE coming here... i read to catch up and laugh till my poor crunch-sore abs scream! You guys are hillarious!
Thanks for keeping it fun!
Tina
Mondays...no practice for anyone! So, everyone is home now and the kids are eating dinner. Paul is fixin to grill his chicken for a salad. I baked mine with the kids and then steamed some cauliflower and carrots...I will be having some wine later! I will try your recipe...I love throwing everything in there and getting other stuff, like school lunches and clothes, while it cooks.
How was your day, Tina?
Hell I keep writing stuff and don't find where the comment went. If anyone reads this can I have a blog user lesson??????
I weighed in at 124.3
I would love someone to walk with me this SaT or Sun. Either Cowals Mountain or Lake Miramar 8am ish.
MANDY...I am so glad to hear from you - we have been having a ball, ask us any questions you have and we will try to answer them. I will fix your ticker. I can't do Saturday, what abour Sunday?
Marci,
I don't know if we said this earlier...Mandy and Kathi took care of Tori when she started school - they worked at the daycare she went to before and after school. Just some hx.
Tori, now 19..... well that is awesome... so ya'll have known each other for a long time... that's nice....
Mandy, my shit disappears as well... who knows who is getting it???? LOL
I just made the same comment earlier.
Marci
They also took care of Brenda's girls and Tina oldest son...I am having my second beer and then I will have my glass of wine:)
I made it thru day 1!!!!!! yeah me..... no beer last night...
that sounds terrible.... and it was :)
That is so good that ya'll can walk with each other and hiking and climbing is awesome for the legs and calves...
I would have to incline the treadmill in Louisiana!!! ha
I'll be off line until probably after lunch...
Drink water & healthy eating.
Marci
Marci,
Nicely done! I could REALLY tell a difference when I backed away from the beer.
Brenda and Mandy,
Yes, Sunday would be good, uh?
Tina,
I have to leave for class on Wednesday at 3:20, so I like to be done around 2 - so, we could do it right after lunch - give me a call.
Stephanie,
That sucks about your computer...I understand how alone you must feel at 0200:( I would do the treadmill or catch up with a really good book!
Leigh Ann - after lunch sounds good! I will call you after my manicure/pedicure! LOL
Nice!
No, my computer is fine, it's on the hospital side...anyways, its resolved now. So today I am working 8-5 like the rest of the world! Back to work! Doing crunches in between files! :)
Good Morning Girls :)
Happy Day to all...Leighann and Mandy...let me know when a time is set if you still wanna walk the lake Sun AM
Oh my!!
Tina :) lucky duck off to Texas...Hmmmm you'll be in a hotel
for several days with your husband....you should pretend you're not married but both were sent there to a conference and hooked up in the same hotel room LOL
Damn Brenda,
You been hitting the Harlequin Romance Novels lately? LOL - what a wonderful fantasy:)
Leighann, I'm glad there is a delete comment button LOL......
Dern IT!!! What did you delete? I bet it was hilarious!
Brenda, you are a trip! Can you come live here in Tennessee with us, too? :)
And yeah, don't delete!! We want to hear it! :)
I would love for you to live in Smyrna...its ranked the #1 spot to retire at!
is it really the #1 spot to retire at????
I can't leave my kids :(
Yes,
Or top ten, my bad!
http://www.townofsmyrna.org/
Town of Smyrna Tennessee -
"Rated One Of The Top Ten Places to Retire In America, US News & World Report"
They are going to leave you one day - you hope:) J/K - I undertstand.
I understand about the kids. But how about vacationing here extensively throughout the year? It's the #2 place to vacation (that's an unsubstantiated claim, of course!) :)
I don't know where Leigh Ann read that about it being the #1 place to retire, but I thought that was interesting trivia, when she told me.
It is truly a nice little town to live in.
Ah, US News and World Report. Thanks for that info!
Oh Brenda Brenda Brenda... If you ONLY knew... :o) I am going to run out tomorrow and get some really sexy jammies... :o) hahaha.
don't ever delete comments, brenda; especially if it's anything juicy...lol; i did input my weight for leigh ann to do my ticker thing; think i've lost a couple more, but not sure.
I knew I would miss so much.... just getting back,
the baby is growing good and is just so precious to see on the screen....
I hate to miss juicy gossip, repost it girl!!!!
I'm doing pretty good in day 2, just getting major headaches... I knew that was coming.... caffeine/beer free headaches!!! no fair....
Happy Tuesday!
Marci
We travel to Tennessee every other year, mostly to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge... maybe we need to see Smyrna!!! :)
Marci
Hello Ladies!
Brenda - I now declare it against the law for you to delete comments! I enjoy catching up and your sense of humor.
Tina - Break out the fine, sexy sweats. You know, the ones w/o the holes and no guacamole stains! Perhaps the top & bottom even match! :o)
BTW- I saw in the paper that Zach scored in the boy's win last night. Great job.
Angela :o)
Brenda - I was wondering if I had met you in person last spring? Did Leigh Ann recruit you to play Sunday night soccer with the ladies and you hurt your toe? I broke my wrist in that game and have decided that soccer is far too dangerous and should be left to the children to play! I probably got hurt because there was only water in my water bottle - had it been a different 'beverage' I'd probably have been just peachy!
Angela :o)
Oh you silly girls...I'll give it up...and it ain't pretty...notice how my friend ASSUMED my fantasy was from a romance novel......................................................................how long can I let this one ride........................................................................................................................................
...................................she just knows me to well, but then again....she taught me some things...LOL...cleavage, and that I should use it...ok ..good bye now
Cleavage?! What's that?! What little I have is rapidly disappearing with all this damn exercise and eating right!
Does it snow in TN? I don't do snow.
Angela :o)
No, hardly ever does it snow in this part of TN, anyway. Just a dusting sometimes. It's usually always east. I don't do snow, either. It's pretty to look at in pictures, and that's about it!
Dang, Brenda! Cleavage...that's hot! :) Although I too would not be an authority in that area. Would have to defer to my friend Leigh Ann. Let's talk about her while she is studying and not paying attention! :)
LOL...no, these are areas I'm learning in...I was brought up prudish LOL
ROFLMAS...Girls, I paid good money for these babies and I intend to get my money's worth!
Marci,
The grandbaby is too sweet and I know as mom would say, you are going to ruin her!:)We will have to meet in Gatlinburg some time, we love it there.
Kathi,
I need to know how much you lost...that is the way I was doing your ticker, I will look at it later though to be sure. Glad your back!
Angela,
Yes, that's Brenda with her broken toe. She doesn't do soccer either. Nice about the jammies!
Stephanie,
Those are nice words about where we are from/gonna live, uh?
Tina,
Rock on, Girl!!!
Now, I am off to the gym before I go to class.
What a trip...Angela = broken wrist from soccor!!!!!!!!!! WOW
yes, I am Brenda = broken toe from soccor ....just too funny!! I wondered what Leighann was talking about...I missed a comment up there...Leighann...one day, when I lose weight...I will wear a halter top LOL (a pushed up one) :D
Marci...hope your headaches go away...800mg motrin (?)
Cleavage huh???????
too funny.....
show those puppies off!!!
Marci
yes...yes....I did see that commercial and it was very funny!!!
I just want to lose the weight and inches all over my body.... :D
Oh Steph...Victoria Secret!!! very nice to yourself :D
Who needs a bra?
I wish one day, someone would tell me the "secret" ha
If I got a push up bra, I would probably smother!! LOL
I'm just learning at 40 years old and 4 kids later, that I need to treat myself and pamper myself....
I missed the boat on that one... my sister fusses me all the time.... I'll get it one day.
Marci
Witches with perky boobs don't!!!!
we are all jealous and can admit it! LOL
I know I'm jealous....
Marci
hey ladie, I hope everyone is well I will try to catch up on the comments but I have not been home the last few days except about 4 hours to sleep!!
Hey Tina....I'm heading to Victoria Secret on payday...I've only bought the Amber Romance pretty smelly stuff there....I've been missing out
Marci...u crack me up!! oh my!! I think anyone who has that many kids can do whatever they want...I'll step aside, no problem
but don't get smothered!
Steph...did you end up running during the night with the computer down?? I can't imagine how you can get enough sleep with your baby and your son...
Heck no. I went back to bed! It was very nice to sleep in, but I have paid for it today. It's nearly impossible to work when my girlie is awake.
I usually sleep about 6 hours, but also catch a small nap during the day, with the baby.
Wonder Woman Steph! with Push up bra and all!!! LOL
you are truley amazing...
Marci
Brenda, what are you buying at Victoria Secrets, Ooh LA LA:)
Crystal, be kind to yourself, you are doing great!
Kathi,
I changed your ticker - great job, I think you are our leader with just over 8 pounds! Way to go, girl!
I think i will check at Victorias Secret! THAT might be fun! ha...
WOW Congrats to Kathi on those numbers :D
Leighann...I want to spoil myself at Victoria Secret...I normally buy from Target...about 2 years ago I finally tossed out a cute short nightgown a friend bought me when I was pregnant with Allyson or Dana...can't remember...but I had it for at least 18 years and wore it all the time :D dreamy!
Go Kathi on your weightloss, I am trying my hardest this week, and I am hoping for a big loss come Sunday, 2 days done, sticking to the diet, and yes, NO BEER!!!!
Marci
sorry if my message gets long sometimes, I'm from Louisiana and don't shut up....
Marci
Eat negative calorie foods.
“All food has calories, that goes without say, so saying these foods
are negative calorie sounds impossible, right? Well, these are foods
that take up more caloric energy to digest then the calories that are
in them. Your body has to expend energy in order to digest and absorb
foods, in fact, 10% of your daily caloric intake is used to process
foods in your body. So these "negative" calorie foods are foods that
take more calories to digest then actual calories in the item of
food.” Make sure to eat them raw with out any additions.
Here is a list:
asparagus
beets
broccoli
cabbage (green)
carrots
cauliflower
celery
celery chicory
Chile peppers (hot)
cucumber
dandelion
endive
garden cress
garlic
green beans
lamb's lettuce
lettuce
onion
papaya
radishes
spinach
turnip
zucchini
apple
cranberries
grapefruit
lemon mango
orange
pineapple
raspberries
strawberries
tangerine
Fruits that contain ascorbic acid or Vitamin C has a fat burning
quality. It reduces fats content and can dilute or liquefy fat making
it easier to flush out of your body or burn off. It also works on
cholesterol as well, making it hard to deposit in your blood vessels
Soybeans contain lecithin, which will “shield” cells from
accumulating fat. It also helps to break down fatty deposits. Eating
applesauce and apples will limit the amount of fat your body absorbs.
It contains pectin, which limits the amount of fat your cells can
absorb.
Marci...I'll say prayers for your daughter and your family .. in that the docs find what's hurting your little one ..I can't imagine your stress load!! You are a strong woman
thanks Brenda,we always welcome prayers.... :)
you are so good with your nutritional pointers....
Marci
marci, i would still suggest the eeg; it's more definitive than the mri; it shows what the brain is actually "doing", rather than "structures", like the mri; also, if they get her to go to sleep, they can flash a strobe light while she's sleeping, which'll "activate" any seizures she may be having...the eeg'll be mute if they did an "awake" (for lack of a better word) mri; did they have to sedate her for it?
hey; i have irish and italian in me; i don't know the meaning of shutting up
brenda, ascorbic acid though isn't good for people that have "tummy trouble" though (like me); docs have told me to stay away from it...WHAT DO I DO?
can i say "though" one more time...lol
Kathi,
she was completely sedated when they ran the MRI... they called me yesterday and we go tomorrow morning at 8am. so I can see what they say .....
working on day 3..... I sneaked on the scale, I am showing 2 lbs down, so I am excited after 2 days... and no beer!!! I'll go weigh on Sunday at the gym b/c it shows the . as well.....
:)
Marci
Marci,
Great job on the scale! Stay strong, that beer will do us in:)
I know, I was excited, b/c I felt a difference I just had to step on that damn thing and see!!!
Brenda, I'm with you, I keep my jammies forever!! that's when they are comfy....
I've also been so busy at work and that helps as well....
Marci
It is exciting! Gosh, I hate homework...I am trying to submit my research project to the IRB
(Institutional Review Board) at SDSU and I got about half way thru and am now lost.
Gotta run.....needed this blog break :D
Yes, a blog break is nice! I need to go and work out - back away from the school books for a while:)It seems like this entire morning was more about organization - but, I needed it and now I know exactly where I stand in all of my classes and upcoming assignments.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
went to the doc again today for f/u from er visit (had another one of my episode thingies - leigh ann, you know what i'm talking about, i think :D); potassium's back to normal; have to stay on the pills though :(...he's referring me to a podiatrist since my heels hurt like shit when i walk; may have to wear "orthodics" again, like i did when i was younger - have very flat feet
i've walked about a mile and a half today already and drank a little over a quart of water, so far
marci, i hope everything turns out ok tomorrow
Great Job with the walking...I hope they figure out what is wrong with your heel. Sorry you had another episode. Good news about the potassium.
leigh ann, i can't even begin to tell you how much better i feel since i started walking...today, i really started feelin it in my butt; feels like it's gettin firm...YEAH BABY
Yah..to firm butts!
marci, are you still sticking to the "no beer" on sunday? that'd be like sacreligious not to have beer on Super Bowl Sunday....lol

Leighann..glad to hear you're ready to roll with the new semester.. :)
Kathi...I'll add you ,too, in my prayers..you seem to go through alot and yet, you're out walking and doing what you need to do..right on for you!
Marci hope you news is something comforting tomorrow
Steph...run on!!!
Hi Ladies,
Checking in. Very busy today. Marci, I hope you get some answers tomorrow or soon. Hang in there Kathi.
I enjoy taking a peek at the blog for a break to. Just didn't have time to check in.
Angela :o)
Anybody have any thoughts?
Angela :o)
no more walking done today...heels have had enough (i actually took a nap today); water consumption is half a gallon; had fried egg sandwich and a glass of oj for breakfast (yes, i actually ATE BREAKFAST TODAY), nothing for lunch, and a can of soup for dinner - chunkies, chicken noodle...was FABU (also had a can of diet pepsi)
ty brenda for the prayers...could always use the extra help
that's true, angela; so i don't think you screwed yourself at all; i can eat basically whatever i want now (including fast food) and don't really have to worry about it cuz my metabolism is picking up cuz of the walking...
I am going to come out there and whip you, for having fried stuff!!! ;O)
I love the little pic of Pooh, doing his "stoutness exercises". Reminds me of my son when he was a baby...he adored Pooh bear. I know every episode.
LOL steph; i know that fried things aren't good; but i haven't had one in so long...btw, i walked it off yesterday by walking that mile and a half. PLEASE DON'T WHIP ME...LOL; i do hit back...roflol. i've never tried just the white of an egg...eeewww
AND we are off!!! I would love to say I will think of you all often... but I will be PARTYING!!! hehehe
See you on Sunday!!!
Have a great trip, Tina! PARTY ON!
Morning, Steph and Kathi - both of you were are up early today! Glad you liked the diet coke video!
Angela,
I am not sure...I have been letting Paul feed me since I failed so bad with the Atkins.
I know, it is cold out there when I take the kids to school...not as cold as Stephanie, Crystal and Marci are, though. Thanks goodness, right?
Kathi - Stephanie's right! Ditch the egg yolk or better yet go to Eggbeaters. 1/4cp=1egg but I generally use 1/3cp=1egg. My kids have never seen real eggs in my fridge. There are also less expensive store brands. They are 30cal/svg, 0mg cholesterol, 0g fat, and 6g protein. They make great scrambled eggs & omlettes.
Angela :o)
Ladies - Thanks all for the input. We'll see how things go Sunday. Knowing my body, it will probably just give me 'the finger' when I get on the scale Sunday am for inconviencing it yesterday.
Now if it would only weigh the finger...
I prepped again this morning to work out, but that bed was sooo warm & comfy.
Angela :o)
Angela,
Too funny...I weighed more than I did yesterday...I may be getting the finger, too:)
Can you guys see the results of the poll? Or can you just vote? Everyone just vote once.
FROM BRENDA - WHO COULDN'T POST FROM WORK:
Angela, love the shoes by the bed for motivation :) and your finger vs scale..love that to!!!!!!!!!!
Kathi...hang in there and take care of your feet...sounds really painful!
Marci....hoping for the best
Steph.....Donny and Marie!!!!!!!!!!is this a few shows or a permanant act...LUCKY!!
Leighann....Mmmmmmm dried cranberries :) wish I had them right now LOL
Brenda,
Damn that computer at work...I hope you headache goes away soon.
brenda, it was me, not steph, who's seeing donny nad marie in vegas. and to answer your question...they are going to be there for three years doing shows...THEY'RE BACK!!!!!! when my friend and i are going, they'll be there just for a week; not really sure when the three year thing'll start...hoping they'll announce it in july; I AM TOTALLY OVER THE MOON ABOUT JULY. i may need a few of you to come over and give me a good whack across the face or crack over the head to knock me back into reality
marci, how's your baby?
also, marie is going to have her own talk show :D (without donny)
Thanks Kathi :D That sounds so very exciting (sorry steph, my headache must have been in my eyes too)
Leighann...I hope this comment makes it on the blog LOL..if not...Hmmm, I dunno my headache is going away now as I type..thanks.. Leighann.....I'm able to see the results of the poll once I click on it...and yes, I did vote just once :)
Hoping Heidi,Mandy, and Crystal are all well too
Hey, I am jealous of Kathi too.
Yucky or not...we are heading that way this fall!
Angela :o)
lol angela; yeah, going to donny and marie show...i can't wait; just REALLY have to do everything possible to save money; i'll be eating pb&j for the next 5 months...lol; mac and cheese, you know, that staples
i'm bummed about the poll, ladies. i think it'll be a good incentive; even though we're all adults and don't really need a "reward" for losing weight, i think of it as a encouragement tool; like maybe couple of bucks each...
Moment of truth ....I enjoy sugar free hard candies to help with cravings (that could possibly take an eye out) oh my...4 candies equal 45 calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the sugar free gum I chew...no problem...I burn those calories chewing (I chomp gum)
must go now and reevaluate the situation

So, what are ditto's?
Does sugar free gum have calories...I have to go and see. Damn those candies - 45! I just got home from school - @#$#@#$%! That's how I feel about it.
oh my leigh ann; not a good day, huh? i'm sorry.
didn't walk today or drink as much water...and had a heaping plate of spaghetti for dinner..YUM!! but now i'm feeling guilty, so i must walk and drink tomorrow; the running smiley got ahead of me today, damn it
that's right brenda; i forgot...not having a very good voter turn out; NO HANGING CHADS, PLEASE
yeah, what are dittos? think i'm too young to remember...i think i remember them being a style of jeans
Dittos LOL...we must google the 70s
LOL...I remember the name and that they were one of my fav...but for the life of me...I can't recall what they look like hehehe
Yes, see above on blog...ditto jeans, might have to have some when I get to wear I want to be:)
LOL very cool Leighann...only back then.....I wore the ones that were waist high ...LOL..oh my!!!!
Happy Friday...Happy Eating
It's 8:21am and I have eaten
at work:
plate of steamed soybeans with pepper,pear,2 baggies mixed veggies
lots of water with lemon slices...and now I'm eyeing my apple LOL....woke up too late to do my applesauce/blueberries and cinnamon/flax...Mmmmm
See how I have deviated from the Reduction Plan a bit...LOL
Hey ya'll!
so glad to be back on line at work... my computer crashed at home Wednesday... so I have been in withdrawals! Going to get fixed this weekend hopefully.
Gabby's visit was good with the neurologist, he was very thorough and spend lots of time with us. He is thinking Epilepsy (which runs in my family) he has ordered a "sleep deprived" EEG on February 28th at Childrens. (you know your stuff Kathi!!!!!)
finally some answers!
thanks for praying everyone!
Marci
Oh, I forgot to say that I don't want a pair if there are no back pockets...not a good look, in my opinion!
Marci,
Glad that you got some answers for
Gabby and the doctor sounds wonderful! Good job, Kathi.
Brenda,
You have done a great job this week with your plan. You and Marci, both.
Stephanie,
Your outfit does sound hot...but,
I called the Dittos first, J/K:)
thanks everyone!
Marci
True, Leigh Ann, it is awkward to discover your friend also has your outfit. I wouldn't do that to you! I guess I will stick to my Buckle jeans. They are expensive, but they really are the best.
Marci,
I hope you get your computer fixed real soon - it's such a pain to be without one these days.
Stephanie,
Yes, that would be kinda of funny, but I was just joking.
Angela :o)
I just got to my computer today. My son got an academic award at school this morning so I took the day off. I've been running all over.
Tomorrow is my 5k Super Run. I have to be down in Mission Bay to check in by around 6:30am. It's going to be FREEZING! I will have to run extra just to keep warm.
Marci - It's good to hear that the Dr visit was positive. I'm sure that feels like you are finally making progress.
Has anyone heard if Crystal got her papers she was waiting for?
Angela :o)
Angela,
GOOD LUCK tomorrow...I will be thinking of you. I would love a picture of you so that I post it here on the blog. I know everyone would enjoy it!
Yes, I had to google the dittos - too funny. That website has a whole lot of them:)
Crystal has not rec'd her paperwork yet...it's so that she can go and pick up the baby girl that she is adopting from Africa.
Leigh Ann,
I think you are going to have to put a stick figure up (or pix of Cindy Crawford or Brooke Shields).
Good luck.
Angela :o)
Go Angela!!! RUN!! We support our won!! WOOOHOOO :D
YAHOO clap clap clap
Marci....I noticed one of your comments said about going by the office to check email..."if I come in to town"...WOW....so very lucky!! I must know...what does it look like around you, outdoors :) What a dream~~~~~~
Leighann....Kick some *#^$%%_# on that field tonight!!!!!! WOOHOO
clap clap clap...SCORE!!!!!!!!!!
I am off to the Soccer field!
Morning Stephanie,
Yes, late game and then a few beers, didn't get home until one! Have to get to the gym this am...we are going wine tasting with Brenda and Steve, since we didn't get to go last weekend.
Angela,
Run girl!
Well...must go....the wine touring van is due to arrive any time now (that would be the Wrather van) I think I'm equally excited to ride in the van as I am to go wine tasting...I've only been to tasting rooms...not the actual wineries...HUGS to all
The Wrather/Wine Van has arrived at the Storey's residence...we are heading out and will keep you posted:)
