YUCK...humidity; Chicago has humidity like that, and when we were there six years ago for a family reunion, I had a HELL of a time with my asthma because of it...if I didn't bring my nebulizer, we'd be making a trip or two to the ER

Good morning ladies. Just rolled outta bed. Didnt sleep until very late last night.
Now to get up and get the party stuff back and then spend the day with bubba.
I think this will be one of the shortest of long days of my life... lol.

I'm kind of bummed today...I'm losing my neighbor upstairs; she's going into the Corps and leaves tomorrow, but she's packing up her place now and I guess driving her stuff up to her parents' in Victorville (near Apple Valley); she's been here for about a year, and was great when my mom died..
Bren, I know you said you're swamped this week, but do you think you can squeeze in a store run on Friday evening? I've gotta get some cookies for our family reunion that's on Saturday up in the L.A. area - or maybe if it's easier, you can get 'em on your outs and abouts (chocolate chip preferably, but anything would be ok; and a big tray if there is one..there's gonna be about 30 people there)
How about I pick them up for you Weds ..is that too early?? Won't be able to anyother time Kathi...the reunion sounds like fun!! Let me know and then we can kinda go from there

Those cookies aren't freshly made everyday, are they? If they are, I think that is too soon...but I don't know; what I'm mostly afraid of is ME getting into them before Saturday...lol

Hey Leighann..it just donned on me as I am squinting on the computer monitor...did you ever get to the eye doc for your reading glasses?? I'm feeling the need to go myself...I have cheapies I wear for reading..but it's not helping with the computer..I'm not sitting close enough due to the desk...keyboard etc...
Hey ladies... Zach called about an hour ago. Hasnt left San Diego MEPS office yet. He is tired - and sounded tired. He has no idea when he will be leaving. Poor thing... momma is sad for him.

Flights all delayed due to weather. Boys are on their way back to the hotel. Fred or Tina will go get him so he can hang out. Then we will take him back before 10 tonight. Have to say goodbye all over again... *sigh* BUT i get to hug my bubba again!!

Presentations yesterday and today is Sales Lab and tomorrow is our written test. Graduation on Friday and then I am out of here:D
Brenda, I am waiting on my glasses to come in...they are the weakest prescription you can get, but it freaks me out when I can't read or crochet...

Hey all...What you guys went thru with Zach's stall is what Katie went through with Roger and the Marines...she said good bye to him and then after he left, they sent him back home because the beds were full...go figure...Hope this AM Zach is well on his way..sigh

Went out with Katie yesterday...her son is in Marine bootcamp here in San Diego....she rcvd her first letter from Roger...he's having the time of his life...he loves it...he said you get to work out, eat alot and learn alot...and all the emotional stuff...he figured out...it's a job :) Prayers for that guy and all of them too

Nope... got beat. they combined B and C leagues again. We played the really good team... 9 to 5. Could have been worse. We sure missed zach and rima. WOW.

Yes, Tina, I have been keeping on top of my house so it's not so overwhelming, and if I do say so my damn self, it looks pretty good :)
That's about the only busy work I've been doin...just too damn lazy to get on the computer - giving my hands a rest (and my eyes...think they're startin to go since being on this thing so much)
In just 10 hours (and if my sister "approves" my house), she's picking me up and we're going to my bro's in OC, and then we're all piling in the van and then headin up to L.A. for a family picnic...but before we go there, we're gonna stop and see my dad's first cousin, who's in the hospital after breaking his femur (thigh bone, for those who don't know what a femur is)...can anyone say OUCH?!
