Now that I have PCS'ed and checked in to my new job and am settling in here at home...
I AM GETTING REALLY REALLY EXCITED ABOUT OUR TRIP!!!!!

We get in about 530. I guess we will get a cab to the hotel as they dont have a courtesy shuttle. I called to check last week.
Marci - i looked into the holiday inn there in Gonzales... shall we make online reservations for Monday or did you wanna call your friend? or?
Since we dont fly out till 500'ish on Tuesday I am trying to get a feel for the plans tuesday and who/how we will get from Gonzales back to the airport. Thoughts?
Well..off to grocery shop and to Costco! If ya wanna chat drop me a text... :o) I cant HEAR in Costco or the commissary... LOL

KK's trip got postoned until the 25th....
it is raining sooooo hard here.... it's actually a very cold breeze with it!

Ok, got all caught up on the blog
I had a lovely day...my sil picked me up and I went to my nephew's baseball game (in 4s Ranch); and then at the last second, my sister treated all of us to Oggi's (Dad included)....it was nice to get out; but MAN O MAN, did I get sun burnt at the game; it was fun though...they won!!! squeaked it out by one run
so glad they won kathi! and what a great evening with family!

We just made a really neat meal from recipes we found in Food and Wine...I have cupcakes cooling for the kids - it was a LITTLE stressful...LOL!
Fixin to take a really HOT bath and relax...bought some puzzles today with the rain and all (Brenda, remember at your house during the fires) so, we are gonna just hang out. We all worked really hard today and are ready for the week to start - sort of...!
BTW...I cooked all my veggies and chicken and made a fruit medley and have my celery and other healthy snacks just waiting for me tomorrow and the rest of the week- it only took 3 years to prepare! LOL!

I'm feeling bad for Allyson..she's in tears...she put in for a promotion at work (since she's not going to Vegas anytime soon) and ever since...the person under the GM has given her nothing but grief...they used to get along great...I'm thinking he's either trying to toughen her up for the job or treatened by her...Steve adn I both gave her pep talks...bless her little sensative heart :(

Ok...(taking a deep breath) for Mother's Day weekend, my brother in OC has planned on the four of us going to the cemetary at sunset on Saturday and then the 12 of us go to brunch on Sunday in San Juan Capistrano...I'll definitely be taking at least 1/2mg of Ativan to help me deal with Saturday (and just have some with me on Sunday, just in case); I had tears in my eyes when I read bro's email last night..... beautiful, huh?
I know we should all do this separately, grieving our own mothers, but GOSH do I wish we could be with our cousins that lost their moms...just to kind "do this together"; but I know they'll all be with us in spirit and vice versa

Marci, I got KK's announcement today...THANK YOU SO MUCH; she didn't have to do that, though; and for POA, I'd try the county you live in (that might cost a lot though to have it done); and YES, definitely have KK write a letter stating that you can take over for her health care in her abscence..I don't think you have to have that notarized (just her signature)
