About the being frustrated at doctors....it took 33 FRICKIN YEARS and two trips up to Los Angeles to come up with a "name" for my episodes...they're called Paroxysmal Diskinesia; I can't tell you guys what a sigh of relief both me and my mom had after not knowing what the hell they were for so long

No, it didn't snow any more. Right now, the temp is 22 degrees, according to my screen, but the wind chill has to be single digits. Wow, Kathi. It has to be much worse in Illinois! I think it's supposed to break and start warming back up around mid week. Yay!

Hey Ladies... I was right... alergic conjucntivitis...with dirty contacts = very sore red eyes. He did give me some antibiodic drops JUST IN CASE... and here i sit... in my GLASSES. Which, unless you sleep with me, you will never see me wear. hahaha.

Steph, I'm ready also for Mr. President to turn this country around; I know this is mean, but I can't tell you what a sense of relief I had when I saw George W's plane take off from AAFB for Texas on the news today (and even before that...what used to be Marine One taking off from the Capitol); but, AND I WILL SAY THIS UNTIL THE DAY I DIE, Thank you, Mr. Bush, for protecting our country after 9/11 - never had another terrorist attack since then, so he did some good..
I feel so incredibly blessed to watch history being made today

Steph...cute about the glasses :) I'm sure you'd look adorable too...Gosh I hated wearing mine from 2nd grade on...my family didn't have money so mine were the rejects of the shop LOL...but now there isn't that stigma of wearing them and the ugliest ones are now the cutest LOL...go figure...I've have lasik (about 10+ years ago and so did Steve) since and it was like a full blown miracle when it was done WOW!
I remember wanting to wear my sisters glasses...how strange:)
My Gucci watch has finally died. I took it in last month to have the battery replaced and he told me that it wasn't the battery:( So, when it stops again it's just done! Paul gave it to me our first Mother's Day together (15 yrs ago) and I don't know if I can find another like it.

No more word yet on my mom. They got the prelim read from the radiologist, and now she has been referred to St. Thomas here in Nashville for an eval by a neurosurgeon for a more definitive diagnosis. That takes place next week. She also has 6 polyps in her maxillary sinus, or maybe the sphenoid, I can't remember, but she also has a referral to an ENT for that. Lots of follow-up appointments and she is exhausted and very depressed. She was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma several years ago and underwent chemoradiation for that, so all of this happening on top of her immunity being suppressed....she is a sick lady. She is just very hopeful and holding onto the fact that she has primary custody of my little niece, and we all need her.
Also, I forgot to mention that she went in for a rotator cuff repair just after Christmas, and her heart stopped under the anesthesia. She has had a very hard time.
Oh Steph, that is a lot for her and you both. Thinking of you... and her...both of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Wow; that is a lot of stuff to deal with, Steph; keeping her in my prayers as well..
Please also keep my cousin, Mark Casey, in your prayers; I think I mentioned him before...he's the one with throat cancer and has a trach; he's got an appt at UCLA in the morning for a second opinion before he has another surgery on his throat (not sure what they're gonna do this time); I talked to my Aunt Carol (his mom) earlier and she said that he's just got the greatest attitude about this whole thing.... I used to "live" at that hospital when I was little and going through all of my medical problems...best hospital in the country, in my (biased) opinion

Thank you, Bren, for your prayers for my cousin; I know for a fact they're working. He has such a strong and amazing family; I know they're all helping him through this (No, I'm not referring to me or our other cousins...he's married with two girls, but he also has seven siblings, one of which is an identical twin, so he has BUNCH of nieces/nephews)
Wow. My heart goes out to all... It is easy to loose perspective on the important things in life. I am happy that I can count on such strong women to help me think about it... So many trials and tests. I am keeping you in my prayers.

I just heard on the mornings news that didn't make the news LOL (oddities) The pres of France has announced how he lost 9 pounds...he does kegal excercises...Hmmm does it really work?? I don't know but I'm doing kegals right now and will do them every day at work...leaving myself a post it note LOL

He and I will stay late tonight and make calls...

b/c I can tell you it is a full time job in itself trying to train an agent to run their own business.... we have to teach him how to sell, how to do paperwork, how to hire potential clients, how to deal with people, good and bad...

Hi everyone. had to share. I had a kick ass snack tonight!!! five celery sticks (big'uns) two triangles of the low fat Laughing cow cheese (if you haven't tried those, you need to!!) and chopped olives. Mashed the olives and cheese together, spread on the celery. about a hundred calories for the whole thing. mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Heading to the doctor to see if my thyroid (had blood drawn on Wed) is still in check. Except for the weight gain, I feel ok...I was thinking though, it's been six months since I started the Zoloft for my anxiety...that could explain the weight gain. I am in denial about it being beer! LOL!
Well I would say that the beer is not a new addition, it's adding the Zoloft that has been a change for you. I would definitely say that could be causing your weight increase. :)

Must be the zoloft...I go to the doc on Monday and am going to TELL them that I want to reduce it from 100 to 75...50 wasn't enough, but the world could end with me on a 100 and I would just SMILE! Maybe that will help with the weight as well...
That's funny about the results of 100!! I like that! You can't be doing too bad if you can smile, right? ;)
Hey, I am so mad. I got my steamable veggie bags that you just pop in the microwave and they are good to go, but apparently I grabbed one that contained some sort of brown sauce....YUCK! I don't understand why everything has to be covered in goo...just plain ol' broccoli, please! Gross. Lucky thing I had another.

Whoo Hooo! Soccer wasnt cancelled!!! YAAY!! Play at 7:20! A team I know nothing about... all i can say is being in Upper C - which now includes the B league teams... SUCKS. We will see if we can take a single win this season... *sigh* Oh well...I play for the excersize and commradery... so win or lose I will have fun. :o)

No, Marci; I only take the Ativan when I have my episodes... well, I'm supposed to anyway; I do take one when I get majorly paniced; just to calm me down
well I understand Kathi, why don't they have you on a daily maintenannce so you don't get to the panic mode???
that's what we did for Maddi... she also takes zoloft daily... and she has not had a panic episode in over 4 months.... I have a little extra pill just in case... to calm her and make her sleep....

That's a good question, Marci; have an appt with PC doc on the 4th; I'll have to ask him if he can put me on a low dose of something...but then again, if they all make you sleepy, I don't want to take it cuz I need to be alert when I'm at Dad's
Kathi, if its a low doze daily regimine.... it just keeps you in gear..... doesn't make you groggy.... it's the high doze get me out of a panic attack that knocks you out!

Madison is actually on 75 mg of zoloft.... and you couldn't even tell she's on anything.....
the 50 mg she was still have break thru crying spelling... and thinking she was having a heart attack.... now she's on an even page.... and she can function...
I meant to say crying spells.... geez!!!!!!!!!
she gets up at 7 a.m.... and as of right now... she is still up... and not cranky.... at school all day....
it goes to show you that her attacks... and anxiety... versus Leigh Anns are quite different....
Madison's are obviously more severe than LA;s... IE weight and age and mg......
although LA's are very serious.... by the time Maddi is older she will be on much more mg.... b/c the body starts to adjust to the mg.....
but like I said earlier, each person is different....
LA, started her regimine last year (huh LA, correct me if wrong)
and Maddi has been on zoloft for 3 years now.... she started at 25, and 3 months later at 50... now is at 75... I hope this is her even doze... for a while...
I also started on zoloft about 2 years ago, b/c of what Maddi was going thru.... it was hard to see my baby so critical....
now I am on a daily doze of Effexor 75 mg.....
(and yes, I LOVE Effexor... it is my true LOVE!!!!)..... and of course MIKE!!!!!!
Have to ask him about Effexor too and see what he thinks...I know people are different and later become immune to a dose; that's true with any drug (when I get UTIs, they have to START at a high dose b/c the lower ones don't work well at all)....thanks for all the info, Marci; have to jot this all down so I don't forget to ask him

PS...we had a meeting today at work..they are still trying to work out the kinks in our system and company for us to work at home...my boss said to me..Brenda there will be no weed picking during the workday, if you work at home LMAO!!!!!!! Loved it!!! My repsonse was..yes, Brenda will be picking weeds during the workday because she will have her work done early!! LOL

PRAYERS NEEDED: Got an email from my cousin (who's brother has the throat cancer) and told me that my other cousin'll have surgery again on the 2nd up at UCLA; could go one of two ways...if they find that there is no more cancer, they'll just close up and send him home; if there is, he's gonna have his voice box, larynx, etc. removed and have a total reconstruction using his thigh muscle, I think (have to re-read her email); but as of the appt yesterday, the cells are dead (but the biopsy was taken too soon after a radiation treatment)...so would/could you all say a special prayer for my cousin, Mark Casey? Thanks, guys
