I'm not going to assume here...that's why I'm asking; is his co-driver gay? or is he just a guy that likes rainbows? One of my cousins is gay, so I absolutely don't have a problem with it..just asking. I bet those pics are incredible...I would give my right arm to be a truck driver...ya get to see the entire country; nothing better than that (although I'm sure it gets old after a while)

Then I did "Gut Cut" for 1/2 an hour.

That is awesome, Leigh Ann, for someone who does not run. Great work! What is Gut Cut? That sounds hard!
I love to run, but I don't by any means think I am good at it. John said his dad smoked and drank, never exercised, and when it came time for him to do his timed runs in the Air Force, he still ran the mile and a half in 10 minutes.
And of course, John is an incredible runner. And he DOES NOT cut me slack. :(

OMG, Leigh Ann....I just saw that you did Gut Cut for half an hour. Yikes. Any ab routine (I assume that's what it is) that lasts half an hour is surely a killer. I hate doing abs. I have to make myself.

The reason for the stressful day was today was shower day for Dad (no, he didn't take one); THANK THE GOOD LORD that my sister cut a day off of my being up there; three days was starting to get to me a bit......but the other reason for my stressful day was my ihss worker almost stranded me at the store...thank god for my resource counselor, who really isn't supposed to drive me anywhere; i'm gonna see if Regional Center can help me get a car (even if it's 20 flippin years old); I am SO DONE with the bus

He all...yes, Marci...Dana made it home via Denver...this AM...I heard the story and I felt so bad for her :( ...SOOO Ironic...Steve's sister and girl's were in a car accident (they live in Denver outskirts) around the same time Dana was flying out :( they are all ok...jennifer went through ice on the freeway and had all her kids in the vehicle...not sure on the damages...she hit about 4 fence posts before one snagged her and she stopped ...thank God they are all ok!!!
Kathi...I have a doc appt Weds afternoon...but will forgo my evening chores, if you'd like to go to dinner and errands :) Let me know, ok!!

Good morning ladies! I missed a lot of posts last night! I also went to the gym and did treadmill and 2 weight circuits. I went heavy and hit my legs this time (last time was upper body) so I won't be surprised if I can't walk tomorrow! I did 4 sets of 25 squats with 45 pounds on my shoulders. My legs were jell-o.....ha ha! Then I tanned, and she saw me coming....wow, you are real pale, you haven't been in a while....are you sure you want to go for the whole time? I was like, just shut up and let me in there.....I got my ass out after 12 minutes....it was HOT in there! And I am GLOWING this morning. Fun times!
Great work on the double workouts yesterday, Leigh Ann! I try to do an hour every day, and sometimes I have to break in into halves at different times, too. Whatever works! You are awesome!
Break IT into halves, I mean.....I hate typos.

Had a good work out - I did my mile in 11:25...that I am running a mile without stopping is truly amazing. Not that I can't do it - I just HATE running! But, I have decided that I must if I want to reach my goals. Walked another mile after that and did some core stuff.
Back to the gym this afternoon for more cardio!
Tomorrow is Gut Cut again and on Fridays its Butt Cut. Too funny:D

Wow, Leigh Ann! (I knew you had it in ya!) Can I sign you up for the half marathon in April? Go, Go, Go!!!!! I would love to have some company! (I totally mean that!!!)
But I would not worry about your time right now...you need to go for endurance, and slower if needed. For fat loss, the longer you keep your heart rate up, the better. Just talking....I am sure you and your trainer have a plan! But I just wouldn't kill myself trying to get that time down.
Brenda, you HAVE to get some squats and lunges into your routine...lower body work is great for your metabolism (yah yah, buns and thighs.....)
I did 45 pounds, that is two plates and the bar, total weight. I imagined doing squats with Ansley on my shoulders. That's how much she weighs, no joke. :)

Hi ladies! I'm just now figuring out how to post so watch out!! LOL I'm doing weight watchers and of course working at the gym I'm getting in plenty of weights and cardio. We're launching a new program at our gym this week -BODYCOMBAT. I'm working on getting certified to teach this. I've got Bodypump to teach at 6:45 a.m and Bodyvive Thursday at the same time. My life is crazy-- needless to say my house is a mess. ha
YAY, RENEE'; glad to see you figured out how to post...we have a blast on here; we also bitch and complain sometimes, but it's all fun, and the ladies on here will have you under the table laughing; DOES BANANAS RING A BELL, GIRLS? :-)
Just got back from the gym....did treadmill with hills and sprints (5 miles in 45 minutes), then did lower body today, and triceps because I forgot them yesterday.....I am STARVING! John is fixing me some baked chicken with crushed red pepper and steamed brown rice (that's right, girls, I am having chicken!) My husband thinks people who don't eat meat are weirdos....so, I can't have him thinking I am a weirdo.... ;)
BTW, I start instructing a spin class next Tuesday. I have to go in on this Thursday and let the director observe me for 15 minutes, before my class. I guess she has to make sure I know how to operate a stationary bike (HA HA!). Can't wait!

Hey ladies... whew...long day. Got to the eye doc at 5:30 - and holy shit... we JUST got home... No LIE. Me and ZAch. And 700Bucks lighter! sheesh.
Jenna had to cook the freaking meatloaf - thank god I mixed it all up before I left. Now... instead of a nice meatloaf dinner with potatoes and a veggie...we are all just having a slab of meat a glass of milk and a piece of bread and butter. *sigh*

LOL But I get it..gotta do it...I'm actually sore from doing my own 45 minute floor class ...abs,stretching and glute yesterday before Tina and I did the gym workout...been a long time since I truely made my abs sore...feels good to have sore muscles...very odd LOL

Hi all! Yeah it is nasty. I have the xrays if you want to see! LOL.
Having surgery tomorrow. :( Metal plate for the leg, screw in the ankle, pin through both leg bones. Soon as I get discharged for THAT, I can have my knee surgery. Awesome. Can't go to DC in April with my son now... I am really sad about not being able to go on this trip of a lifetime with my son. and my surgeon says I am done for sports. Forever. I won't have the mobility in my ankle needed for soccer. It is so dumb, because all things considered I am very blessed healthwise, but I cried so hard about the sports diagnosis and the trip!!
Thankfully (?) I am allergic to coedine so the pain has to be managed with the OTC stuff... and will surgery tomorrow... I can't have anything today. The pain makes me feel nauseous, but that also makes me stop from diving head first into a vat of Ben & Jerry's dealing with the emotions of it all.
Won't be online tomorrow, I would think. I will play Friday by ear... just not sure how I will feel.
Won't be at the game for sure though... Kick some ass Tina!!!

Jeff is going to take me to Weight Watchers tomorrow morning, but I doubt I will have a loss since I have on a heavy soft cast and the swelling is a lot of retained water. But I don't want to miss a week. Too easy to fall off that wagon!!

Like I posted on her blog... someday -remind me to tell ya'all the story about when the twins were about 3. It includes toilet water, pink toilet paper, and a mom who slept in...while daddy was at work.
OMG.. Tina, I could n't imagine what 2 little ones did while you slept in.. been there done that...
Sam... used to "grocery shop" while william and I slept.... she would get up at 1 a.m..... and take everything out of the fridge and the cabinets... and it would be lined up in the living room!!!

Yes... my lovely little ones thought the pink toilet paper... all wet so it would stick to things... looked lovely all over the tub... then ... decided they would make a great coffee table decore. So since there was no water in the living room (like there is in the bathroom)they got a plastic bowl... filled it with toilet water... took it and a grip of pink tpaper... and decorated my coffee and end tables with pretty pink rosettes made of tpaper and toilet water...
I woke up when i heard the toilet flush for like the 10th time... (filling it back up, see) went running into the bathroom slipped on the wet floor (there must have been 2 inches of water) fell on my ass... went "sloshing down the hall" (because 3 year olds spill when they carry a bowl of toilet water) only to discover a puddle in the middle of my living room and beautiful pink toilet paper flowers stuck everywhere. I just sat down and cried. Jenna puts her arms around my neck and says "dont cry mama... da preddy fwowers are for you!"
Took HOURS to clean the place. Yes.. I can laff now.

Well, I'm at Dad's now; for a little over half an hour now; I AM EXHAUSTED...bought the computer stuff (part of it), and the memory chip doesn't fit my computer, I think; having my neighbor check it out while I'm here...hopefully he can fix it, cuz after I tried, the damn computer wouldn't even frickin turn on at all...I don't think I did anything (hope not anyway)
Kristi, yeah, there are other narcotics you can take other than codeine; there's Darvocet, Percocet, Vicodin; if needed you can even take Morphine orally

I'm not gonna get rid of it yet, LA; I called and told my friend that he can go in the house and have at my computer all he wants (left the sliding glass door unlocked - I know, bad idea; but I had to catch the bus, and I didn't know if I'd be able to do anything anyway; why not leave it to someone who does know what the hell they're doing...and won't charge me an arm and a leg to get it done - although I will pay him something)
Whew, Leigh Ann....stay outta that wine....LOL!
I was bad last night, too. I had a Lean Cuisine french bread pizza and a beer for dinner. How naughty of me! hahaha! (But, I still worked out at 1200 calories total yesterday so I am not freaking out).
And it is okay to take a break from running, Leigh Ann, like do it every other day if you want, and do your weights on the days in between. My bones ache in my feet, from running sometimes.
I missed a LOT last night! Tina, that is horrible about the flowers and the water....so glad someone can to relate to my day yesterday....though I dont pretend to think I have it as hard as a woman with twins. I truly believe I would not have survived. Leigh Ann will remember, I am sure, when Ansley was a baby. I did not sleep at all, and I was a big crybaby. I had no help, so I sobbed and yelled a lot!
OH MY LORD, Kristi! Poor you! I hope you can get something for the pain, surely, like Brenda said....there is other stuff you can take, but if you are like me, I hate being medicated and have to be alert and able to function....but sometimes you gotta do it. Take care of yourself!
Kathi, I hope your computer gets better...I hate that!

Hey all...LOVE the kids talk..gotta go to Steph's blog and see what happened!!! I remember my kids had a yard sale and Steve and I were home...they sold stuff from our home office/guest room..to this day we don't know what they sold LOL
getting a ref to urology...gotta go do some blood tests tomorrow fasting...this doc is right on..love it!! before she does anything with the BP meds she wants the results from urology and she wants the meds my brother and mother are on for their high BP..then will go from there..I walked in that clinic on North Island..it's a military base..and I instantly felt safe...the care I got made me feel safe...my last primary care clinic..I didn't feel that way over time...pretty scary..But now...onward!!!

Had to bring Madi today for a checkup... they were checking her zoloft and such....
Dr. Reed ordered an ultrasound of her ovaries, and a hand growth density xray?, also thyroid levels (go figure on that one).... a blood test, and we have to go back on Saturday a.m. for a 2 hour glucose screening with urine.
she was such a trooper...
she says.... Hey Mom, take a picture of me giving my blood for your blog!!!! The nurse burst out laughing!

Yes, I have to go to Camp LeJeune in Feb for a week, teach in Feb here in PCola and I don't get to transfer till April. But it is so worth it!

The pediatrician talked about everything... but I was a bit overwhelmed and didn't hear all the tests..

Oh No Marci :( Endometriosis!! I had that...went into have an ovary removed due to reoccuring ovarian cysts, woke up having have an entire hyst..they said endometriosis...it spreads :( Nowadays they have meds and plans to help control it!

That's what they thought I had, Marci; wow, I'm surprised an 8 yo can have that... although, my niece has "precocious(sp?) puberty"...which means she was reaching puberty when she was FIVE YEARS OLD; she has gotten hormone shots since then to stop her from reaching puberty too early; and MAN...she can get REALLY moody sometimes

Marci, I think the chem-20 does cholesterol, total protein, electrolytes, etc. It is 20 chemical tests...but cholesterol is in there. Those values are a pain in the neck to type....
I figured you would know Steph! Thanks, I did research a little and it does say the cholesterol, lipids, potassium.... and I am sure that is a pain in the butt to type all that....

Hi everyone. I am feeling dizzy and goofy from the pain... so if this reads as if I typed in Chinese, I apologize in advance. Surgery went well. More metal went into me than previously planned. Foot is on fire...
I lost weight (with my shoe on and the cast- pre surgery.) So my ticker total should be "lost 9.2" so far.
My eyeballs aren't focusing well enough to catch up with reading... I will do that tomorrow perhaps... I am off work for 4-5 weeks.

Hi girls; It's official...my high school reunion is all set; it's gonna be Aug. 8th Downtown at the Bristol Hotel (anyone familiar with that hotel? Is it in a shabby neighborhood, old, etc...)
Glad your surgery went well, Kristy; personally, I don't do pain, but if you're in that much pain (and I know this was said before..just emphasizing), ask the doc for a painkiller that doesn't have codeine (vicodin, darvocet, percocet)

Brenda, we went to the Woman's Hospital this morning at 7:30, they drew blood, then Maddi had to drink the sugar syrup.... then wait 30 minutes, draw blood, wait 30 minutes, draw blood, wait an hour, draw blood.... a long morning... and we did urine test as well....
her and I went eat in the cafeteria afterwards.. and headed home...
then MB and I took Maddi and Gabbi to the show to see, "Hotel for Dogs"... it's perfect! so funny!
