Hey Ladies!
Had a very busy but productive day at work. Came home and went to the gym with fred. I have increased my cardio by 5 minutes so Im doing 40 total now. I hit 398 calories burned today!! I was sooo excited I came home and celebrated with lasagna! (and I may have a beer) hahaha.
LA - I am so glad you got to do some of your decorating!
Marci - It sounds like things are going Christmas crazy around your place! I will never forget the "santa" talks... life changes once your babies get that talk.
Steph - Im so jealous... I wanna wine taste!!!
Brenda - THATS IT... we simply MUST go wine tasting again!! LOL
Kathi - way to go on the non smoking. Being honest... its tough... but only YOU can do it. And you can only do it for you. You cant do it for your sis or your mom or your aunts. JUST YOU. Good luck... having had smoked for 28 years... I know its tough.
Im gonna post some pics... and once my dad sends the Thxgiving pics I will put those up. Right now...its just a new shot of Fred's bites. And a pic of my girlfriend and her neice that i took friday.

HAD A VERY STRESSFUL DAY TODAY, ladies... I've smoked a lot since I got home at 4:45 (getting back on a bus tomorrow at 3:30...back to "Grizzly"'s...by me not calling him Pooh, you can tell what kind of day I've had); but getting ready to chuck 'em..but I want to wait to see how Wednesday goes with the shower first; I did take an Ativan to hopefully avoid an episode/hospitalization; LORD KNOWS that's not what we need right now, with everything going on;
Just please pray that Wed. goes well, for all of our sakes (and sanity)
Well, I did it!!!! I tossed the rest of the pack of cigs (flushed 'em, really)...there were nine still in there. I don't think my stress level is worth getting cancer again (although, I might have had to disagree with myself earlier...lol)

Yes, Leigh Ann, I loved the vineyard, too. We have to go back when it's warm. What a great view, too....rolling Tennessee hills. I bet it is even better when it's green. The wine was great, too!

sad about your mom :( prayers for her...for sure....I have 2 bottles of Almond Champagne that I picked up on sale at Cost Plus...under 10 bucks a bottle!! AND I can pack them in our checked baggage for New Years...I checked the airlines...I just need to verify the alcohol content...but I'm pretty sure it's the really strong booze that can't go on the plane

He said if she stays seizure free until the summer, he will start weaning her off of the medicine....
she picked the restaurant for lunch... CHUCK E CHEESE'S.....

That is very cool about Gabby, Marci; is she on Neurontin? That's what I'm on for my Paroxysmal Diskenisia(sp?); been on it for about five years, and it's been a godsend (I'm also on Diamox a couple of times a day)
I'm trying the no cigs, LA; it's not easy, but I keep telling myself how much I like not coughing as much......being able to breathe has its perks, too :D
Thanks for the comments about Gabs... she was excited.... the doctor asked her if she wanted an excuse to get back in school or to skip school! She looked at me and grinned and said "skip school"...
so yes, we went shopping! LOL

I did, Marci; didn't you read my post from yesterday/last night? I threw the rest of what was left in the pack (nine cigs) in the toilet and flushed 'em.... so they're gone (and hopefully for good)

Wow, that takes will power to start exercising BEFORE Christmas and New Year's; great way to start off the new year though
OMG, I'm up at 2:30 in the morning, and going on complete burn out....this going to my dad's EVERY OTHER DAY is getting old, FAST; I don't mind helping out, of course, but I think if I had a car, it would be better; it takes an hour and 15 minutes to get up here and back, I have to get in the "dealing with a child mode" when I get here, spend the night, let Steve, the nurse in the next morning, (and deal with stuff if Dad doesn't shower), go home, and then I'm right back at it the next day... now you guys kind of get an idea of what my new life is like; don't get me wrong...I LOVE IT, because I get to spend time with him, cuz who knows where he'll be in a years' time...but I'm just so very tired and worn out;
Are you mad at me, Steph, for what I said about the cemetery stuff? I don't know if I said it earlier, but I didn't end up going to the cemetery before going up to OC on Thanksgiving; traffic was horrendous as it was; would have been worse if we did go; but my sister and I did go this past Saturday...very emotional (didn't quite expect to visit my mom at a cemetery this soon)
One good thing though, is I'm going up to Tehachapi (my cousin, Rick, and his family live up there) again on the 19th for a Christmas party (this is my Aunt Jen's family; the one that lives in AV);

Hey Marci congrats to Gabbys doc appt!! How wonderful!! Skipping school and going to Chuckie Cheese and shopping was FUN!! :) Very sweet about KK sleeping on MB's shoulder for hunting LOL love that!! shopping manicures!! :D woohoo!!
Tina...too cute about your hubby doing the holiday decor!! :) I thought of you when I was at the gym...I did the whole 30 mins with 5 cool down..did my best burn at 325 for that machine...it was HARD!!! I'll increase the time with you but there is no way I can keep the burn going strong longer!!! LOL...

I've been here and there...lots going on, as you all :) all's good and will be better, if I can find my cell phone!!!!!!!! My last recall is turning up the volume last evening,at home, in case it would ring....tried to call it this AM and didn't hear any ring :( dammit!!!
WOOHOO!!! Allyson found my phone in the garage :) I can't wait to get home and bond with it after work!! Now, if I can just get home and see green living trees that are for holiday displays I'm working on...I'm thinking that one isn't going to be a happy ending..but life is good ..It's a rustic kinda Christmas anyway and brown is in in So. Of course, it's totally up to you, Marci, but I'd wait a few weeks; after all the parties, food, BOOZE (lol), etc., and then get someone in to help whoop your butt (where's that trainer chick from BL when you need her....Jillian, that's her name; I just completely blanked for a minute)
kathi, the longer I wait the longer it will take.... there's no good time to start just have to do it and get determined... and I am ready.... :)
I'm thinking motivate myself until I get into a rut and then get a trainer....

I have to tell you all something really bizarre!! I told Tina..now I have to share with you all...that new show that premiered tonight...Secret Millionarie on Fox TV..the first guy and his son were in Imperial Beach for their week long stint...and the second family he meets is an elderly lady who runs a homeless shelter out of her house...that house she lives in is the house I lived in!!! I lived there at one time when I was in the military...my brother lived there, my ex, my sister (on and off) and some military guys and a gal I worked with....it was a pretty peaceful party house while I lived there..only people came over by invitation...then after I left it became the GRANGER HOUSE...a well known party house...I couldn't believe I saw it as it is now...a homeless shelter run by an elderly lady on social security :D It's a 5 bedroom and 2 of the bedrooms have the 2nd floor balcony out front...when I lived there, I got the master bedroom downstairs because I was the house mother...I did the cooking :) Well, my sister gave me heads up on the show's premier and so we called everyone we could think of who would appreciate those old memories...can't wait for my brother to get home from the road to see the show and how the house is now being lived in...gosh, I'm gonna go visit her and bring a holiday food basket :D What a trip!!! Happy Holidays!!!
OMG, Brenda!! That is weird...frankly, I'm scared to death now to see the house I grew up in, in L.A.; it was lookin pretty shabby the last time I was there, probably 5-10 years ago..but MAN, do I get all nostalgic when I go there; all the memories just come floodin back...of course, now with Mom gone, it's gonna be so emotional to go there now
Marci, I have no clue what I'm/we're doing for Christmas (the actual day); but we have our family party on the 13th at my brother's in OC - first time we'll all be together since the service..pretty emotional if you ask me - and then on the 20th, I'm going to Tehachapi (about 3.5 - 4 hours north) for another party (my cousin on my mom's side and his family live there)...VERY WELL DESERVED BREAK

Here I is, y'all... :)
Man, was yesterday busy. I worked at home from 2 a to 6 a, then showered, packed out my computer and went in to the facility to have some software loaded, and train on it, then went to pay the water bill, then back home, worked for another hour and a half, went and met a lady from the office to pick up some more P&Ps that I needed, stopped at the market, came back home and did my Pilates and rope work, then cleaned the kitchen after hubby cooked dinner for the kids. I was and still am, exhausted. I did manage to squeeze in a 20-minute nap before I worked out...ummm, it was more like collapsing. I don't believe I have ever had a more fully "utilized" 24-hour period of time.
I hope you all bear with me, in my absence. I don't believe the rest of the month will be any better. I know everybody is just as busy, so I will try not to whine, and pop in to say hi when I can, as I know we all do.
Kathi, don't worry. I didn't think about that whole thing again, after it happened.

Hey all... getting ready to leave for soccer. Got a 6:30 game.
Made pork fried rice for dinner tonight. YUMMY. Had enuff to freeze some for the kids for later.

Tina, my nephew's bday was Wednesday...so I can feel your pain as far as Christmas/bday gifts; kids that have Dec. bdays SCORE BIG TIME, but the person buying the gifts ..... not so much; and my oldest niece's bday is EXACTLY A MONTH from Christmas (Nov. 25)...so she gets a month-long celebration; remind me to never have kids around the holidays
I just got back from a holiday party that Community Interface (the agency helping with my independent living skills) has every year...VERY RELAXING and fun...I needed that as much as my sister needs to go to Chicago
