Marci, what's a program car? I think anything with 30K miles on it these days is new; and, referring to your (or KK's) earlier comment, the Durango does look like it had a baby, huh? Love the Caliber
Well girlies, this is my third day w/o a cig :); I'm craving one SOOOOOOOOOO bad, but I'm gonna fight it

they just refer to cars here that the dealership uses and then sells as "program cars".... meaning they have more than 5K miles on them..
I also still consider it a "new" car... we really were not in the market for something this new... but KK is a hard worker and she wants to pay a little note... so Mike and I are putting her downpayment for her Christmas and Graduation present... and with the baby she needs something more reliable, and also will be traveling about an hour each way to College next year....

I bought a pack of cigs when I was waiting for the second bus to my dad's, but I haven't opened them; I wanna test my self and see how much will power I have; I figure if I can go all week w/o opening the pack, I've got it licked (besides, I kind of like not coughing as much);
How was Barstow, Tina? Did you guys hear the sonic boom when the shuttle landed at EAFB (Edward's Air Force Base)?

I don't know when it landed, Bren; all I know is it had to be diverted from FL due to bad weather; what I wouldn't give to see a shuttle land!!!! And Edward's isn't that far from my cousin in Tehachapi..perhaps one year; I'll try not to open them, Bren

Kathi, when I quit smoking I kept an unopened pack in my top freezer... just in case..... it was security... they stayed in there for 8 years... I threw them out last summer!! :) LICKED it!!

Hey all! Made it back earlier this afternoon...had to do some laundry and stuff around here. Im pooped out! Need to shower again and go to bed.
Had a GREAT time... had some beers with my sisters and their hubbys and played some ping pong... it was fun.
I am NOT weighing in this week... LOL. I forgot to on Friday and i absolutely refuse for this weekend. CALL me flat. HA.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend... im gonna go to bed.

That's a good idea, Marci; keeping them in my freezer (if I crack, I wonder if you can smoke frozen cigs); might do that when I get back from Pooh's tomorrow (wish me luck; it's shower day in the morning)

Kathi...I can't believe it's Dec 1 too LOL...oh my!! take care at pooh's house...NO SMOKING!!
I had half a cig on my walk last night; and then I "saw" my aunt's faces and I threw it down and got emotional... HERE'S THE WEIRD PART though....asa I got back to my dad's, his front light kind of flickered right when I walked past it; I think it was aunts saying "thank you"

Leighann...did you get your holiday decor up while you were home?? I know Steph, you said you had yours up...Gosh, I wanted to have mine done this past weekend..but it didn't happen, after all...Oh well, I'm looking at my calendar for the week...IT WILL GET DONE LOL
I'm still debating whether I wanna put mine up :(; Just don't feel like it this year
I know, Bren; but it was only half; I'm gonna do what Marci did; put the rest in the freezer when I get back from Pooh's (who's slowly becoming Grizzly again...no luck so far with the shower; so THERE WILL BE NO PIZZA TOMORROW NIGHT FOR DINNER if he doesn't shower)
I gotta tell you Kathi... for me, the only way to quit was to throw them all away.
I had a formal "toss the cigs and ashtrays" celebration this time... and have been smoke free for 15 months.
Other times... i always had some stashed for an emergency.
Marci must have incredible will power... I dont. And based on what you have been saying... neither do you. Toss them in the trash and call it done. And GOOD LUCK. I can only tell you how incredible I feel now! I hated the coughing and not being able to go up a set of stairs without being winded.
I will NEVER smoke again!!
I do have will power...

I know what you're saying, Tina, but I couldn't have read that at a worse time;
my dad dug in his heels and flat refused to take a shower...which has left me almost pulling out my hair; my sister wants the nurse to come back in the afternoon, but I don't know how she expects that to work when we can't get him to take a shower in the evenings - oh, Dad said he would take one, but none of us can trust what he says anymore (I've been burned a couple of times); I'm sorry for ranting...I'm just so completely done and I WANT TO GO HOME; the good thing though is I don't feel the need to have a cig even though I'm stressed out, which is when I would just smoke like a chimney
Kathi...there you go...you didn't smoke under the stress...keep reliving that moment...even if you end up having one...always keep reliving the moment when you got through the stressful dad moment and didn't feel the urge to smoke!!
You can do it....over and over..we can say it and you, too will overcome it :)
Yeah, I feel pretty damn proud of myself for that; and I know my lungs are jumping for joy as well...lol

OK, I got great strides done this weekend with my Holiday Shopping... :)
I have to write down what I got for each girl... so that no one is jipped!
UGH... the little asked some major questions about Santa, and I took a deep breath, grabbed a beer and lied thru my teeth! They are babies..... it's too soon!!!!!!!

NO WAY AM I SLEEPING AT DAD'S TONIGHT, Marci; I was there last night and most of today...I need a break, and you guys SHOULD HAVE SEEN the look on his face when I told him I was going home...A HUGE SMILE; we were just DONE with him, and he was done with us... I'm going back again tomorrow...OY!! So, I got home about 4:45 or so, and back on a bus tomorrow at 3:30 (not much of a break, but enough to recharge "the batteries" that are left inside...
And I've smoked a lot since I've been home, but am getting ready to chuck 'em... I'll wait and see how Wednesday goes first... VERY STRESSFUL DAY TODAY, ladies!! Took an Ativan a little while ago, to avoid an episode/hopsitalization (I don't need that right now, and neither do my siblings)
