Wonderful you met and like Sam's boyfriend...and that you were able to donate items to her :D We're going to do the same with Allyson...I have a friend coming down to San Diego, for the day, to go through her storage unit and will donate to Allyson too...she's moving to Denver and needs to downsize..

I LOVE my storage room... it is probably 4 foot by 12 foot.. my "catch all" room I like to call is....
upright freezer, shelves for big pots... christmas dishes, winter coats, fishing rods, my 5 rubber maids of pictures!!! LOL
a pie safe with all my platters and pretty things...

YAY BrendA!!! See, your digging paid off! And good for Allyson! I hope that retreat is paid by the company she is working for... and tell her NO GOING OUT OF THE COUNTRY... too many wacko crazy things. Stay state side... :o)

If it's possible, Bren, you and Steve should go over the paperwork with her, so all three of you have a clear understanding of everything; three brains are better than one (and I'm sure Allyson has a great one, but it's always better to have more people in on anything...that's my mom coming through me)

We are going to the "corn maze" in Amite, La... it's about 1 hour and 15 minute drive... can't wait...

Everyone should celebrate that they have jobs...speaking of that, I heard on the radio on the way back from AV that they're almost comparing our current economy to the one of The Great Depression...I got the sickest feeling in my stomach after hearing that

Hi all!! Fred and I hit the gym... just got home and had a bowl of the homeade chicken soup I made Sunday. YUMMY.
Did 310 on eliptical...then arms and crunches... knee is a bit tender... but not too bad.
Got a lot of great shots of the last soccer game from Angela Wright. Want to get those up too..

Me too, Tina. A couple of summers ago, we were on the lake with friends, and everyone was drinking, and all of a sudden they said, "I gotta pee", even the girls, and jumped off in the lake to pee. OMG. First of all, I would not put a bikini of mine in that brown-green water...secondly, ewwww. Watch out for the warm spots when you are swimming. My question was, did they pull off their suits, or just pee right in them? I just cannot fathom...I stayed on the boat and suffered for about an hour before they finally let me off to find a potty, and I tried not to sit where they sat. :) Ha ha!
I am going to take a brief siesta. I have been on since 1:30. Nighty night!

I can't get over you "Glamper Girls"... I LOVE CAMPING (like I've said before, we used to go ALL the time, in the Sierra's - but we never had to pee in a bucket, I don't think - we did however have a tent trailer and a portable toilet)...roughing it is the only way to camp, in my book

Marci, NO, not a tent AROUND the potty; inside our trailer...and it was just a free standing one, so anyone that came in....HELLO; in some of the campsites we were at, there were "public" toilets (and showers), for all the other sites near us, which was QUITE the experience in itself

KK decided NO to the Suzuki Grand Vitara... (it was a 2005, 56K, but 4wd... so it was a little rough on the riding.. .and of course she said, "I think it would be bad on Mylee's neck!" OMG... too much!!!
I told her this is just ridiculous... I'm just going to have to go and get a car and say, this is it... drive it damn it...
OMG... Yeah, it looks like that's what you need to do, Marci; but if she's that way about this one, she's gonna be like that with EVERY one...

Babies' necks don't get injured/hurt unless you're in an accident and she's not strapped in correctly, which I'm sure you do..just have her in the "head protector" thing in her carseat and she'll be fine

A sad day today.... one of my very close insured's lost their 21 year old son today in an accident.. their younger son graduated with Sam and my mom taught them both..

Dad duty was actually pretty good last night (got home about 20 minutes ago); he enjoyed his pizza, took a shower, shaved and brushed his teeth....all in all, a great day at Pooh Bear's house (now if we can only have 1000 more like that...)
GOOD NEWS THOUGH; we qualified for long term care; but it doesn't take affect until February (which is fine, cuz we really don't think we need the extra hours yet, as he's not not safe or violent with us); again, it's Mom lookin out for us

Ya know, Marci, I'm not really sure; I think it's through my mom's work (CALPERS - California Public Employees Retirement System); my mom was gonna have that also (LTC), but not for several years
that, my friend, is the most fantastic benefit there is out there.... a long term care policy... it keeps a person home and doesn't affect their finances or nest egg.... :)

well, the meeting didn't take place afterall...my resource counselor got in a car accident (hit her head pretty hard), her supervisor was gonna go down to the hospital and check on her (all of whom were gonna be at the meeting); so, we're just gonna reschedule for another time

My mom is going to be moved to a nursing home soon...I don't know what else to say. It's just not good.

Fred and I just finished installing a new exhaust fan w/light in the bathroom off the master bedroom. Turned out GREAT!!
Been cleaning and doing that all morning! Now to shower and drop the girls at the movies. I need groceries but will do that tomorrow.
