Mike hunts deer.... we prepare all different ways... his friend owns a smoke house,.... so makes deer sausage...
but I make roast, with potatoes and carrots....

Sorry, Leigh Ann. For the ticker, I did not write it down so I cannot accurately quantify...I think I did 4 circuits, and ran 16 miles.
We had a great day yesterday. It was cold, but we bundled up and took a drive down to Manchester, to Old Stone Fort National Park. I read in Tennessee Magazine that there is a stone fortification there that is estimated to be over 2000 years old. You know I had to check that out! They are doing lots of archaeological digs there, and several sections are cordoned off. It was very cool! I want to go again in spring and stay longer. There are several miles of trails. The foliage was beautiful.

Hey Kathi...you should look into a study group!!! I'd get with on of the Catholic churches and see if you can't get in with one and maybe someone could pick you up for them :) The one I go to is at my in laws place...we just started another phase last week..but we are maxed seating at the table :(
Marci...that is really fascinating about the deer meat ...do you have another freezer, in town?? My cousin in Iowa has one in town...forget what they call it LOL..the whole process is just fascinating!!! LOL

I just got my utility bills for this month, and am proud to say that after 6 weeks of being the water and light Nazi, our electric and water bills are down a total of $213.12 from last month! WOO HOO!
Now to hide that money in a sock before something eats it.

The mexican lady that hit us in March and put KK in the hospital.... comes in my office on Friday looking for quotes... I recognize her... she tells me no accidents.... so needless to say I got a little rude (yeah me)... and told her a few things.... got my pressure up....
She and her fiance called State Farm and complained about MARCIA BUKER... and her harsh words and their embarrassment!!! LOL
I said yeah, and I will do it again!!!!!

I ran everything like a good little insurance lady, and then told them I couldn't do it... I did it by thte books BEFORE I got rude!!! :)

Hey Steph...my oldest, Dana, had a talk with me Saturday AM about water and electricity LOL...she's going to start volunteer work in go green, or something like that...she's always been proactive in our family since she was little, about those things...and she would leave us notes LOL...I know I'm the one running up the water bill..I really need to capture water for my gardening (not from rain LOL since we rarely get any) WTG for making such a drastic cut in your utilities!!!! What did you do differently??

Dad showered this am with Maria; I was so excited........ but then I found out that my wallet was probably stolen on the bus on my way up here last night.... HOLY $%^&; just canceled my atm card, and requested a new bus pass from Regional Center; now I have to call and make an appt with DMV to get a new license...BEFORE I GO UP TO A.V. this weekend

Damn...what a pain in the butt! The only time I was able to log on besides right now was when I emailed Stephanie before the gym...I mean this sucks!
But, Paul is good - had his knee scoped this am. And he has a follow up appt with the Cardiologist - his stress test was fine. So, I don't know what is up with all of that.
Fixing to hit the showers and maybe put up my brothers wedding pictures. A new John and Kate plus 8 comes on tonight - I love that show:)

Funny about our conservation talk yesterday....the city had meetings yesterday about upcoming mandatory water rationing next year....fines could go up to $1000.00!!!!! I have ALOT of work to do to implement my plan to avoid those fines :( I've been talking about it for a long time...now's the time to quit putting it off!!!! Full speed ahead!!

I do deserve this time away...and I CANNOT tell you guys how relaxed I am, since being home and not doing "Dad duty" (even though last night was the first night of not going up); just not having to worry about getting up there and making buses is glorious

That's so cool, LA; I think we're going up to OC for Turkey Day.. my other brother and his family are going out to the desert with Krysti's (sil) family...we were invited, but decided not to go
