Mackenzie is home sick today and Paul has his stress test for his heart this afternoon...

Thanks, LA, about the trip; I"m glad that she's going out now; As my brother put it, my sister and cousin lost their best friends when we lost our moms, so they need this time together more than I need to see her and my uncle (not to mention, Patti can go over with my cousin some of my aunt and uncle's financial stuff and help her figure all that out, or at least start to)
Paul is having a stress test done on his heart this afternoon because he had to go to the ER last week when he had a heart rate of 180/minute. So far, the only thing they have said is that he has an irregular heartbeat and high cholosterol...

Paul did find out about his MRI - he has a torn MCL? I think thats it and he will have to have it scoped. No news on his heart yet.
I would call Marci, but I she will let us know when she is ready, I doubt they have results yet...

no news yet... probably on Wednesday they said....
we were only able to get the 1st MRI done... they wanted a "contrasting MRI" as well where they run the dye thru... and the nurse said her veins were short... and the IV ended up poking thru her vein and bleeding out... she has a bruise on the top of her hand where the blood came from the vein...
Leigh Ann, the nurse ended up being a sister in law to "Tiger Blackwell" from Kentwood.. small world... of course she asked questions when she say Spears... LOL
KK took a few pics with her phone of "our poor baby girl".... sad ... she was pitiful....
What's up with Paul..??? my superman cannot have heart problems... will say some prayers for him.. and thinking of Mack...

Steph, my foot is KILLING ME; but I can't do anything about it right now, b/c of my dad...my bros and sis need me right now (I'm at Dad's right now and will be all day); Speaking of that...today the evaluation nurse comes to see if we qualify to get more help in here for him; if we can get someone in here to cook meals and stuff, none of us would have to be here until 8 at night - which'll put me out of the running for being here b/c of the buses; unless my sister takes me over here

Yeah, it isn't easy, Steph; but it's more than dinner that we need someone in here for.....b/c my dad eats SO MUCH fruit, which is good, he messes (to put it nicely) his underwear and doesn't change or clean himself up; I don't know if he knows he's dirty, or just doesn't care anymore since Mom passed - b/c of the disease, I don't think he knows, but I also think he just doesn't care b/c of Mom being gone

I just got back from picking it up. VP Zands is a chickenshit. She wouldnt even come out... she made an admin give me the phone... LOL.

LOL!!!I am going to need more than luck - I am an idiot...lol! It just took me almost an hour to complete two notes that totaled less than 5 minutes...geez!
Update on my Mom...Saturday she woke up and introduced herself to the Nurse...No shit. My sisters say that she is communicating pretty good...she says its hard to say somethings sometime...AMAZING!!!

yes Tina, I got your text, I was in a world wind... and just worn out.. sorry I didn't respond... it was soooo sweet....
this is the latest...
we heard about the MRI, she does not have a tumor behind her eye, which is what the doctor thought...
her optical nerves are small and restricted... she cannnot see clearly out of that eye, the image is either fuzzy or jumping....
this is why she turns her heads and tries to see thru her other eye...
we have to do a repeat MRI in 6 months to make sure no "growths" occur with that time....
the optical nerve sends the "growth hormones" thru the pituitary gland.. so we will have to watch her closely.... b/c she will have growth abnormalities...
it is called nystagmus....
KK was balistic... I did not tell here everything, just what I thought she needed to know.... I didn't want to freak her out too badly...
I will have to go back and read updates... I've been lost the last few days....

Kathi, I would say the disease.... it's going backwards into childhood, until he has the mindset and physical abiliites of a toddler and infant... so messing is to be expected.... :*(

And my Mom...it's just too wild! She even asked who was having a baby and other stuff we only told her when we visited her and she was out of it...I am sure she is Manic because she hasn't been on her meds, but that seems like the least of our worries right now.

That's what I think too, Marci, about the disease..... Gosh, it's progressing like you won't BELIEVE; I just called sis on her cell to see how it's going with the nurses (the evaluation one and the one that showers him..althought she's just an home health aide, I think); the waiting is killing me

Yeah, he's on Arciept and Paxil; he may be on something else too, but don't know what...but the thing is, in the evenings, he takes his meds with his BEER, which I know is not the right thing to do...so that may be adversely affecting the meds, thus making the disease worse
Don't panic, Leigh Ann. That guy is tough, but the bad news is, out of the 4 in that practice, he is the easy one! It does get easier, though. Once you start hearing those phrases over and over, they do start to get easier. You will get faster. And, I will send you corrections and plenty of samples for reference. The main thing now is just making sure you really want to stick with it.
It is better that you are coming at it as a part time, kind of side job thing. That takes some of the stress out of it. Imagine being 22 years old, and trying to support a new baby by doing it! I was a nervous wreck when I first started doing it! You look at your line count after a couple of hours, and get sick when you realize you only made $8.34! I am so happy I got in with some good people who trained me well. You really can make great money doing it, and I think it is fun. Dont' give up!
You know you have done well, when a doctor from India passes you in the hall, and asks you, "How do you do that? How do you understand me?" :) He said he listened back on some of his dictation and could not understand a word! I just smiled at him...that was such a compliment!
OMG...I don't know how you can understand those from India :( I get calls from prov call centers in India and it takes so much control when on the phone with them!!!!!! How wonderful Leighann that you are doing transcription with Steph :D !!!!!! Steph, you're a peach :) (as my youngest says LOL)
Marci...will continue to have Mylee in my prayers and with our bible study group too!!!

Yeah, LA; don't give up on the transcribing...I'm sure you'll get it...doctors not only have bad writing, but I think they also have bad language (I know they're speaking and writing in medical "terms")
Thanks, Bren, for your nice comment on my blog; I do try and keep that contact, especially with the CA bunch; and my sister, going to Chicago next month, is keeping the contact with the Chicago bunch (so do my brothers, since all three of them are closer in age to all of them than I am...I'm the youngest of all my first cousins..31 in all)

Happy Friday to all of you as well; I've been doing nothing but resting up...looks like I'm gonna be doing both weekend days with my dad (according to sis last night, but will call to confirm tonight); it's times like these when I with I had a frickin CAR, so I can go back and forth in a hurry (takes an hour and fifteen minutes by bus each way); TEN by car
Yes, Tina, that has to be tough...lay offs are in the water, so to speak. I am trying to make myself more valuable by not only working overtime, but the shift I work, which no one in their right mind wants! :) Seriously, it works better for me to work at night. I did make it through a 10-hour shift today. So I am icing my wrists and having a beer as we speak.
Brenda, sounds like someone dropped the ball with the procedural changes...I hate that.

My day tomorrow is going to be all about KATIE :) It's her birthday and we go wayyyyy back to highschool, and it's her birthday...SO...I am planning a wonderful breakfast, for her, at our home....then we are off to ceramics ...we are going to make each other a gift.......of remebrance...OMG....I sooo want to do that with each and every one of YOU!!!!!!!! you must come, here, to my home...and we would do that :)....Well, we would drive a few miles to get to the -place...but we could do ceramics together :D

Just got home. We won... 7 to 5. Zach scored 4. It was a really fun game. The kids we played against all hang with zach and it was a really fun time.
Tommmorrow is the last soccer game with my baby girls... im horrified... it doesnt even seem real. I HATE it. Maybe one day when they get older they can come play with me and Zach. :o)
