which is good b/c I didn't gain any of the 8 lbs back that I lost when I was sick.. I think the thyroid meds are helping.. :)

Having a #$%^y time of it now; was talking to my sister; I've been paying my mom back from a debt I owe her and Dad, and she said it can't go to her anymore b/c "she's dead"; I don't need to be reminded that she's gone...I'm struggling with that every second of every minute of every day; I know she didn't mean it to be mean, but MY GOD, WOMAN; have a frickin heart...
Kathi, you write the check to your mom's name? I am sure your sister did not mean anything to hurt your feelings... just legally it is a pain in the ass to try and do anything financial in a deceased person's name....
maybe just start getting a money order and leave it blank...
I know, Marci, she didn't mean it to be mean (I called her and told her how I felt, and she called back and apologized); she's told me a bunch of times that she can't cash the checks b/c she's gone, but I just hadn't changed it, until just now; I changed it so that the checks go to my dad... so all is good now
I'm glad ya'll talked about it Kathi, that's good... it's just hard when a person is deceased... I deal with that daily with insurance.. the banks don't let you do anything....
Gabrielle's room is finished... and I ordered her Monkey items from Company kids... cute cute...
I made a veggie soup tonight... yum yum.. my favorite... :)
I am babysitting tonight... KK and her friends are going out.. another one of the friends is turning 18... and her mom is a teacher... so about 5 of the teachers at the high school are taking the girls.... so she will sleep at their house tonight...
me and mYlee will snuggle in my big bed.. Poppie is at the camp!

Marci, I just read your comment on my blog; thank you.... like I said, I know in my heart that they won't stop being our uncles, aunts and cousins just b/c she's gone, but my head is sending me mixed signals..... no, I will never give up on them; I love 'em too much... my worry is that they'll "give up" on us, which I know sounds totally ridiculous, now that I write it, b/c of how our family is (very close knit, and that's all due to our parents raising us the way they did)

LOL, Leigh Ann! I know the feeling! But that is the beauty of having a home office. Get out of that chair for a 5-minute break whenever you need it, to stretch and jump around. I hate sitting, too. Unfortunately I haven't thought of a way to do it standing up. :)

The kids 2 doors down from us (I say they are kids...early 20s) had a party last night, and they are still at it. There are cars EVERYWHERE. I normally like our little neighborhood, but sometimes, not the neighbors so much.
I did my standard 8-mile run on the river trail yesterday, and there is an adjacent "bark park" to take your dog for exercise and socialization (LOL!). Yesterday they had "Barkaroo" and we could barely find a place to park. Who knew something like that would draw such a crowd! I didn't see any rock bands or mind-altering drugs. FYI, Bonnaroo (sp?) is just about 30 minutes south of our house each year. I don't know if you all in California and Louisiana have heard of it, but it is like Woodstock. So, the Barkaroo thing is a spinoff for doggies, I suppose. Goofy.
lol; poor Steph; I hate that too, when the neighbors are noisy as all get out...hopefully, they have DDs and don't drink and drive

They are building 3 doggy parks in Baton Rouge... unreal... I never realized they did that!!! LOL

Leighann....I know that must be hard learning something new...UGH!! When I worked at Aetna...we had this guy who actually worked standing up LOL...they modified his desk somehow and that is how he worked 8 hours a day at his computer LMAO..it was sooo funny and odd hehehe
Steph...that is really funny about the dogstuff LOL...I would loved to have seen that!!! Hope all is quiet now in the neighborhood!!

After Church today, I talked to the priest and he blessed Mylee's eyes..... it gave me chills....
:) He said, say prayers to St. Lucy, The Patron Saint of the Blind and the eyes.....

Ok, it's FRICKIN COLD HERE!! Yes, us Californians are wimps, but it's cold for us... Started getting a little nervous on the bus when it STARTED POURING in PQ, but it let up the rest of the way to Dad's (tend to want to believe it was Mom holding it off for me)

Marci...that's just beautiful and powerful about the priest and Mylee...our bible study group is all Catholics except for me...and Steve's dad used to be...I will ask them to continue in our group with prayers to Saint Lucy...:) has your hubby returned from hunting??? what does he hunt and how do you prepare it etc.....
