I know the economy sucks right now and people need money, but can't Fred take tomorrow off, Tina; just to give an extra day might not be a bad idea (just in case there's an infection brewing)

My visit with Ben is really nice...he went shopping for his groceries to take on the road Tuesday...too cute!! I have a cousin in NC (who I haven't seen in almost 18 years - she's one of the younger sisters of the cousin that came out for Mom's service (I mentioned Kevin on my blog in the post about my mom and aunt; he has three sisters)
Hi all... Hey Kathi - yes Fred could take the day if he wanted. He has sick leave - but he says hes "fine". We dont have to worry too much about infection as they put him on antibiodics for the next 10 days... and when we rebandage we use the triple antibiodic cream on the wounds...
I wish he would sit around HERE... but now, I get back from Costco and hes washing my car for crying out loud!!
Oh good grief...MEN LOL...Tina...that man is instopable!!! Glad he's on the antibiotics...if you see a red line traveling...go to the ER!!!
Kathi...that's nice about the family here and there...and yes, my brother is EVERYWHERE!!! He's so cute when I tell him the girls asking about him...he's like REALLY
:) I tell him, yes, the girls are all asking where you are and how you are :) he's so cute!! Tonight he asked which shirt he should wear (he went clothes shopping for winter) for his evening out with his best friend Lisa :) LOL he wore the one I recommended..LOL...I will be delivering a $50.00 bouquet of my choosing to deliver to Lisa next week after he leaves :) so sweet..he wanted Lisa to have flowers delivered because she is so special to him and works so hard with her jobs and kids....precious!!
What I'm also wondering is why the hell they didn't use stitches to close the wounds...those are HUGE bite marks; they look like they could've come from a small bear, not a dog....
Are we talking SIL material, Bren? I'm so glad that Ben is out dating again...I think he deserves to be happy; and that was so cute what you wrote at the beginning of your post...you made a little rhyme if you hadn't noticed...you could be a Dr. Seuss writer

Kathi, I think when you have puncture wounds they want to leave the wounds open so your body can push out any trash or other nasties. Bite wounds are really gross because of the bacteria in a mouth. Has Fred stopped bleeding, Tina?
I showed my husband the pic of Fred's leg as he was coming out of the shower...he said, "WOAH!!!!". You can really see how big the wounds are from that perspective. Gosh, his whole leg has to be sore.
We were wondering, how the dog bit him. It looked really weird. Only the incisors sunk in? There was no lower row of bite marks? Too weird.
Leigh Ann, I hope it's not an infection. What you are having sounds exactly like mine was. And, the headaches are still lingering, after almost a month. Doc thought it might be tension and stress, and maybe so, somewhat, but I think I am just still a little sick. I never took anything for it.

Tina, yuck about court. Exhibition of speed...they make it sound like you were drag racing. My court date for my ticket went well, actually. The judge was not there, and some lawyer came in and sat at his chair and spoke to each person individually, and dismissed most of the tickets, I believe, as long as no priors...I hope yours goes well.

Ya know Steph, not really sure... Neither is he! LOL. He just remembers jogging past the woman and her dog with about 5 foot of space between them and then the dog on his leg from behind dragging him to the ground... there is lots of bruising but those are the only holes..thank god.
Oh Kathi -they dont stitch animal bites or people bites. Too much Ickyness in mouths. Need to be able to "ooze" to cleanse.
And it is still bleeding but not like it was.

HOLY CRAP, did I just get the phone call to end all phone calls.....my sister just told me that my dad had told his nurse .... that he's afraid that he's not gonna wake up (had to swallow REALLY HARD before I wrote that);, just like Mom didn't ..... I'm going back up there tomorrow; I asked her if she thought he was actually grieving for her...she said maybe in his own way, but can't really express it ...... ok, I'm starting to fall of the edge again, so I have to go....

Kathi - Im sorry youre having a rough day again.
I just realized that I probably wont even see Cpl. Stone today...this is like traffic court and you either plead guilty or innocent. If you plead guilty - you get your points - if you plead innocent...you get a court date. Or at least thats what I suspect. We will have to see. Fred says the marines dont have the time or money for that... we will see. LOL. I would really like him to be right... but... i dont think so.
I will fill ya all in when we are done. :o)

Traffic Court on Miramar is held in the THEATER for crissakes! If you just wanna take your points - you line up and the take you one at a time... if you want to contest - you are separated out and you have to talk to the Col.
So.. thats what we did. Cpl Stone didnt have to come... and the Colonel heard my side and said he would give me the benefit of the doubt - and said to slow down in my "hot rod". That was it. we were in and out by 9. Not NEARLY as excititng as I hoped... but... not guilty works for me. hahaa
Now im off to the doc... and then pick up kids and to the gym with Brenda!

Well, got here at Dad's about 20 minutes ago (had to go to Kaiser and get a perscription I had called in, so came early); so far, so good; he just laid down to take a nap; I'll see if he brings anything up when he gets up/this eveing about what he said last night...I'm not counting on it though

We won our soccer game in sudden death PK's...it was incredible. We played the Marines. I was called off my the Ref and I wasn't even on the field. LOL! I let the guys have this one and rarely even subed in. It was rough but exciting!

I am ready for the election to be over, too. But, we haven't had many campaign commercials, and no robo-calls. Tennessee is a pretty hands down Repub, so I don't think they campaign very hard here.
I hate all of the stupid debates on the news, not between the candidates, which I like to listen to, but between everyone else with their speculations. Just a bunch of yelling and you can't understand a word. Dumb!

Oh yeah, Ansley did pumpkins with finger paints yesterday. It was adorable! Then she got out her sidewalk chalk and chalked the garage floor, then took in a piece and did the walls in the kitchen a bit. Thank goodness for semi-gloss. Bless her little heart, she means well. I am just happy it wasn't a Sharpie.

Gonna be busy today...that tends to happen after im out a day. Jenna has one of her last 3 volleyball games today.
Both of my girls have decided AGAINST trying out for HS soccer... which makes me very very sad... Oh well... not much i can do about that. Jenna will continue with off season Volleyball. Tia, well, we will have to see.
Yes, Brenda, I am looking forward to doing more grown' up things with Ansley too, as she gets bigger. Right now, I am happy to talk to her about magic castles and butterflies. :)

Ah, I lost my post!!!
I was just telling Brenda, we would love to do snowmen, but it hardly ever snows here anymore. It used to a lot more when I was a child, but not so much now.
It's 2 days until November, and my grass is still growing like crazy. This weekend, it is supposed to be in the 70s.
Awwww maybe mini snowmen...that's too bad the snows went away :(

on another note... please keep Mylee in your thoughts and prayers.. she went to an eye specialist today, her right eye flickers back and forth sometimes... anyways... he poked and pried and wants to do a CT scan and MRI next week to see if anything is restricting the optical nerve b/c it is a smaller nerve than the left eye...
so we worry.....
KK called me balistic today... I was supposed to go with her, and b/c I missed Monday and Tuesday I couldn't.. I felt like shit when I got the call.. will go next week no questions asked....

Going through our own trials and tribs here, too, with Dad; ABSOULTELY (oops, little spelling error) REFUSED to take a shower tonight...fighting with the nurse the whole time; my sis had to give "tough love" and basically say to him that he's gonna force our hand and have him put in a home (and that's under the doctor's instructions) if he continues to refuse and fight; I think he's pretty much down his last few chances....so, guess where I'm going again tomorrow!? I'm getting sick of this back and forth crap though, so I'm not coming back home till Saturday, but you can be damn sure I'll be on here more in the next two days than I ever have (if I need to vent, which I probably will)... while praying for Mylee, could you also squeeze in some for us and my dad?

Having a quick beer and going to bed... Jenna's team WON tonight!!! It was the greatest game! We got our asses kicked 25 to 9 first game... came back and beat them 25 to 21 2nd game and then... in the tiebreaker...beat them 16 to 14!!!

I love to visit the snow :) but I couldn't live in it though...just because of the cold and the mess when it's slushy...we've have gone to the mountains here and in Colorado to ski and play and that was FUN

Snow is no part of ANYTHING that will last more than a couple of hours.
I will drive up to visit snow... for a MOMENT.... and then leave.
So.. no... Glamping could NOT include snow. LOL
I hate the cold wet nasty weather too, definitely couldn't live in it... but a weekend 2 day visit... yes I can subject myself to that... as long as a hot tub and a cold beer is in the picture... and snuggling.... :)

FYI Mylee's MRI is scheduled for Monday morning at 9:30... we have pre op at 8:30.... they will sedate her....
I'm sure you know this, Marci, but tell KK that that's absolutely a normal thing to do with an infant (sedating before a "procedure") and that she'll be fine; tell her that they sedate because they don't her to move at all (and knowing that babies have perpetual motion...); BTW, she's six months old now, huh? Happy half birthday, Mylee

Hey Kathi...You have been through so many hospital procedures...I can't imagine all the things you have experienced...My mom goes in monthly to have her porta cath flushed and sometimes there is a new nurse in the infusion lab and my mom has to talk them through how to do it LOL...

Ohhhh its been a longggg day. Im leaving shortly (around 2:30 or so) to go to Jennas volley ball game. She better win - since i didnt wear my costume. LOL
I am gonna hafta get a coffee after work... I woke up at 4 and if our evening doesnt really start till 8:00 tonight... im gonna be sucking wind!! LOL
I don't really have a choice in the walking...have to catch buses and walk to my dad's from the bus stop; and then once I get here, I do things around here that keep me busy, like take out the trash, sweep, etc.

Oh Tina...Yes, the night will be starting late LOL....I NEED to get home at a decent time to childproof the front of the house..kids trip on the steps walking up to the house if I don't put lights out...then I have to trim a couple plants that are sticking out...then move some potted plants by the door LOL....I should be home by 5:30 to do all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordering the pizza in about an hour, since it's a HUGE pizza night (hopefully it won't take three hours to have 'em deliver it)
And Bren, about one of your earlier posts, no, there is no car here or one I can borrow (sure would make life a lot simpler, though); have to rent one and I don't have the money right now
Speaking of money, I think we're all set as far as knowing how much I'll be getting each month (THANK YOU, JESUS); but the bummer part is we still won't be able to go to Chicago :(
Hey, I made frito pies, too! It's a tradition every halloween...
Made it home with no problem... just tired. Had a blast tonight with all of the neighborhood kids -I think we started with about 15! They just finished a hayride. It's not even nine and I am going to have to crash:)

Ok, so yesterday, I completely lost it and almost yelled at Dad..b/c there's no emtional attachment to Mom's death, he thought that since she's gone and obvisouly won't be needing them, he would shred all of her birthday cards...that was WAY TOO MUCH for me, so I called my sis in tears (and right before I yelled, so it was a good thing I called); I know there's gonna come a day when we do have to get rid of everything of hers, but that was just too soon.

Yes, Kathi..I can take you to the store...I'll be home doing chores tomorrow...so just give me a buzz when you're ready...I'm sure I'll look ishy from cleaning...but I'll try to freshen up before you see me LOL...we were cleaning the garage and went to dinner (that's when you left the message on the house phone)
I'm no longer green from my night of drinking ....YES!! the seafood buffet and hot tea took it all away :D Now, back to the garage cleaning!!
