They are supposed to move my mom into her own room today. She is a true DNR now. But, she seems to be rallying again. I just worry about her quality of life because we still don't know about the extent of the brain damage. She is rarely responsive...Paul and Rayna were able to visit with her before we went to Louisiana and I was really happy about it.

Went to my appt this morning... they scheduled me with a Type 2 Diabetes doctor instead of an endocrinologist!!!!!!!!
I was pissed!!!!!!
What exactly IS an endocrinologist? I know they deal in Diabetes, but what other "system functions" do they work in?

Im sitting in the doc office with Zach right now. He called this morning saying he was in EXCRUCIATING pain when he pee'd. So, here we are...

Ok... am back at work. Urinalysis came back clean showed "dense urine".. he got smacked in the crotch on friday - which made him have a bit of swelling - which compounded with NOT drinking enuff water and drinking fruit juices and soda - he experienced PAIN. Doc said drink LOTS of water for the next 2 days - it should go away.. if not... back we go.
He got a jug of water and left for school... hes a good boy.
OMG! Tina....Glad Zach is going to be ok...Yes, I remember how hard he was hit!! YIKES!! I'm sure he's pushing that water LOL....guys don't do well with that kind of pain

Yes... I think mostly it freaked him out when he peed and it hurt like hell!! He texted me... then called me... then texted me. I had to call him and ask for clarification when he typed his "Whoo hoo hurt like hell"... hahahahahohohohhehehe

Just got back from the gym with fred. Brenda had an appointment and couldnt make it tonight. So...even after working OT - sweet hubby went along. (he is a grouch from hell...dont let the sweet talk fool ya - LOL)
Was gonna grill steaks for dinner but too tired... had Carls Jr. instead... lol.
Will grill steak tomorrow. LOL AFTER Jenna's volleyball game.
Oh... Tia had a match tonight... our JV team won... but no thanks to Tia who was tied for the worst score... she thought it was funny as hell.

Hey there. Got back from Dad's almost two hours ago, and it went really well, I think. He almost ate the whole damn pizza himself, but other than that, fine. I don't feel as stressed as I did last week (I think it's b/c of the hiring of the nurses and just letting them take over the hygene stuff), or this past weekend, whenever I was up last...they all seem to run together now.
LA, sorry to hear about your mom. Hope they can get that back under control.

Yeah, I'm feeling much better; have an appt with the gastro guy tomorrow to check on that ulcer I was telling ya'll about...I still get pain every now and then still, so I'm gonna go and see what he says - probably schedule a CT Scan or endoscopy (<----- that's probably the more likely of the two) to check things out

Girls, Leigh Ann was going to show me how to crochet, but we gave up before we started, because I am left-handed. I suppose it would be upside down? I am confused just thinking about it. Well, I guess my children can't depend on my knitting skills to keep them in warm garments, so must still go to mall. Dang. :)

I bought a sewing machine, and I was like, uh, what do I do? My husband knew how to do it, he says from being in the Navy. He was a 'chute person...aint that cute that he can sew? :)

Oh yes, I have to take care of my speeding ticket from August today...I called the courthouse to make sure I had the time and location correct, and she told me they dont have traffic school in Rutherford County...as long as it wasn't over 20 mph over the speed limit, I havent had a ticket or accident in greater than 3 years, and as long as I was not disrespectful to the officer, they would throw it out and I just have to pay court costs. That last part made me giggle to myself. Of course I wasnt disrespectful. He was hot! :)
Disrespectfut to the officer?? Ya mean Like I was to Cpl. Stone??? HAHAHAHA. Oh well I will have to wait till next TUESDYA to tell you guys about MY court appearance!

Well, didn't make it to the doctor today :( (and he's one my favorite ones, too)...missed the bus, cuz I couldn't get my ass out of bed this morning...so it's rescheduled for next month (yes, he's EXTREMELY hard to get an appt with)
back from my appt... they put me on synthroid 25 mg...and I go back in 6 weeks to recheck....

I'm having movie night at my house TONIGHT..the guests arrived LAST NIGHT..with wine and movie and I wasn't home LMAO!!! My brother got in last night for a few days off...can't wait to hear about his travels...he was able to visit with our brother in Florida this time around :)

Monitors are so great nowadays; I remember back in the day when they used to pick up your neighbors' babies (the one we had when my oldest niece was a baby, in particular - and now that baby is having her Sweet 16 in a MONTH from tomorrow)

Ok, just out of NOWHERE, I just had a huge meltdown...think it was just because we're not gonna be able to go to Chicago in Dec. for the Brunch (and of course my mom); and it's my day again to go up to my dad's...so I just emailed a cousin to see if I can call her and try and calm down (another cuz wasn't home...the one that lost her mom two weeks after mine); the cuz that I emailed grew up with us in L.A. (they lived about 20 min from us);

I just got to Dad's half hour ago, and MAN does he look nice; he didn't shower (HE said he has to do that tomorrow, so that may be progress; but probably not); he has his hair brushed and he's dressed nicely...very impressed when I walked in
Birthday wishes go out to my sister, Patti; she's out with her friends tonight (thank God); I hope she's having fun...she TOTALLY DESERVES IT

Awww Kathi that's nice about your dad :) ...I'm so sorry that you can't make hte brunch :( I know you were looking forward to that...hoping by now you reached your cousin...that must help to be able to look back with them and get through the painful moments of all the loss...and cherish the memories together :)

My brother had a great time on the road but is afraid of his team driver's driving habits LOL...his shifting is very jerky and it wakes my brother up during his down time...He really enjoyed the mountains out east and here in the west...
oh well he might need to mention to his driving partner to smooth it out...

Yeah, everything's going smoothly; I haven't stopped doing stuff since I got here..so I'm EXHAUSTED, but things are pretty good; had shepard's pie for dinner (first time); it's actually not bad; did some of the dishes (get to the rest after I finish the laundry, if I can stay awake that long)...GOD, there's still a faint smell of the dead rat, which ended up being under the freezer outside full of maggots, in the house (EEEEWWWWW)

Marci...My brother is soooo nice..he would never upset someone directly LOL....he's hoping the guy learns to change his ways :) So, my brother lives each day in hopes the other guy changes his ways...LOL...I know.... I know....it seems my brothes and myself were dropped from the same apple tree..we have no stems LMAO!!!!! My sister on the other hand, she has a stem :D

Went to my new doctor yesterday for my headaches/ear pain/neck pain, and he is great! I work with him as well. I was telling him about my running, and turns out he is on the marathon team for the hospital. I am getting more information as he said they still need people of course, and I had so much fun doing the half last spring. The course in Murfreesboro is much flatter than Nashville's. Should be a lot easier! It was fun to get out and talk to other people...I dont get that often.
BTW, my diagnosis was cervicogenic headaches, which are caused from sitting at a computer all day...imagine that. We discussed stretches and taking lots of small breaks.
Oh yeah, he was there with me in the half in Nashville last spring. My time was 2 hours, 33 minutes. He did it in 1 hour, 55 minutes. I have some work to do, I believe.
Get him, Steph; and EEEEEEWWWWW, I don't like lamb usually, but if it's mixed with other stuff, I can eat it (not wonder I have major gas this morning......lol)
