Thanks girls for playing along on my blog....it was, at least, for the moment, a distraction :) And you guessed right...Ashley is in need of some garden ideas...and Allyson was proud to take her mom over there ..the house sits in the middle of an orange grove and the owner waters the grove but his tenants (Ashley and her sis and boyfriend) don't want an increased water bill in the yard...so I'll bring them some drought tolerant plants in the next couple of weeks...and also create an area off Ashley's bedroom that she can call her own...a serentity area :)

I can play today by ear... it will depend on whether Tia can get a ride home from the Golf match. I should know later this afternoon. Fred is working nights today so i have to make sure she is covered. :o)
Hey Tina :) I put us down for Tues and Thurs gym ...today, what I will do is leave work (I'm here today til 2:45) and head over to the gym...I have some reading to do...so I'll do that til 3:30...and await your call...then I'll head into the gym and do 1/2 hour of floor stuff, if you can make it...I'll have my phone and move onto cardio when you get there :)

Yes, strength is definitely what the family is in DESPARATE need of right now... not sure if any of us are gonna be able to go to Chicago for the funeral or whatever they have (not sure of the arrangements yet); there's a SLIM, SLIM, SLIM chance someone will go if it's this weekend cuz no one can afford to take more time off of work and I can't afford it; I'd go in a heartbeat though if given the chance (after first offering it to my sister; Auntie was her Godmother)
And I love what you said Marci, about Mom having to go and prepare for her sister...but I also think that if my Aunt Colleen had gone first, who knows what that would have done to Mom, so maybe it's a blessing Mom did go first; BUT TWO WEEKS APART???????? C'MON

Tina....I made the decision to go up to Ontario Thurs...I'm leaving work at 10...going to visit with my cousin Linda :) then take her to LAX...she flies out at midnight...I'll sleep in Fri and come into work at 10AM ...I saw her at the reunion but with so many folks there, it's hard to really visit one on one...so this visit is pretty special to me :)

Our claims adjuster (Avery) has been working with us since September 1, she finally gets Saturday and Sunday off and is driving 5 hours to meet her husband and 5 year old daughter for the weekend...
sniff.... away from her baby for 30 days!!!!
She just walked in our office with a big smile on her face and said 4 more days and I"m snuggling!
a good warm and fuzzy moment!!!!

Great workout and was excitd as fred picked up our computer that was being fixed... well they screwed it all up and in freds "mood" he managed to mess something up so now my wireless router isnt working... so im using someone else in the neighborhoods... *sigh*

I am alive, y'all! Just working my heinie off. Well, I wish that would work. :) It seems that somehow, despite all of my hard workouts, since I have been trying to eat nutritious foods at regular intervals, my ass has decided that it likes it...I have gained about 3 pounds in the past month. Seriously. I am reversing strategies...I am backing off on my workouts and my calories for the next bit until I rein in the problem...1200 calories a day, and nothing to drink but water and green tea...bye bye, beer and diet soda. :) Lacto-ovo vegetarianism has worked for me in the past...we will see!
I am off to eat some lettuce; AKA breakfast of champions.
Well, I forgot that I haven't really worked out in almost 2 weeks, just sporadically, AND I am probably holding some water, period any day, so maybe I am being a bit hard on myself. That definitely could account for 3 pounds...
Morning ladides...heres hoping for a better day. Jenna plays volleyball today against scripps so that will be fun. ScripsHS is close enuff for me to go to so I dont hafta miss it.

yes, Kathi...I would work on finding your peaceful place too..my father in law is a pro at it....he says ...when you know it's out of your hands and you can't control it...let it go...it's all in god's hands and his control....and we have to trust in that :) I'm trying really hard in areas in my life to do just that...not an easy thing to do...he told me it just clicked on day for him and he was completely at peace :)

My mom is not doing good - they are moving her to another hospital and that is her last hope as the doctor put it. She is going into renal failure and they can't keep her blood pressure up...

My "daily stress level" is about a six today; I think that's only cuz I got out and got some fresh air by taking the bus to my dad's house, where I am now and will be until tomorrow morning

My Medical Phsych appt went great.. he was awesome.. hmmmm... may just have to keep seeing him... very easy to talk to...

I'm leaving work at 10am to go pick up my cousin in Ontario...then our travels will take us to LAX via Hollywood, Beverly Hills then dinner at the Santa Monica Pier....I'll drop her off at LAX 10pm then will come home...I should be home by midnight ..then will sleep in to come to work at 10am tomorrow...She's really excited to see those places :) And I'm so happy to do it~

LA, Steph...you "Bi-Carbonate"..what is that measured for? Went to the doctor for a follow up from the hospitalization and he said that mine is quite low; mine is 15, and it should be somewhere in the 20s...is that dangerous if it gets too low? Gonna have a recheck of that and cholesterol next week when I visit the Neurologist for another follow up

LA, I know about the "blog happy hour" posts; I did actually read it and had a pretty good laugh.
LA, I HATE saying this, but if your mom is getting close to the time of letting go, has anyone told her that it's ok to, if she wants? I, with all my heart, truly believe that a person "hangs on" until someone tells them that's it's ok, and that they'll (the people remaining) be fine. I was actually gonna call you today, but with all my meltdows, didn't feel I could be strong for you. I'll try and call you this weekend. Love ya
Kathi, that bicarb level is an electrolyte (normal is 20-29 according to my chart). The lungs and kidneys are responsible for maintaining that level, and I think a low value could be from shock or hyperventilation, which I think would be safe to say you have had both with your mom's passing, then your aunt...gosh, I still cannot believe that. :( Electrolyte disturbances can be bad and I would definitely let the doctors keep an eye on that for you.
And I totally understand, but please don't smoke!! :(
Leigh Ann, I am hoping for the best for your mom. Definitely give me a buzz when you get in next week and let's try to do something, even if it's just an hour for Starbucks and shopping at Target for candles (my candle stock is dangerously low...) :)

Oh, I forgot to say that I will be out of pocket on Monday, girls. I have orientation with my new company, from 8a-5p. I was wondering what I could possibly do on orientation that would take a full 8 hours. I am told we will be discussing HIPAA and ethics, one of which according to a cursory perusal of their handbook includes refraining from a sexual relationship with any current or former patient... !!!

LeighAnn... the soccer season starts tonight... lol... no rest for the wicked i say. They have split C-division into Upper and Lower. Put us in upper - with teams like Kickin Back - who will simply kick our asses... and Lower C - where they put mamas and pappas... go figure.
Gonna take the computer back to the shop and freds gonna yell at the guy... then we are gonna have breakfast together... oh... did i mention im not working today? YAY.
Went to the gym with Fred yesterday since brenda wasnt here. Tonight is soccer at 6:30. Not sure if she will be coming to watch or not. Brenda??? How was your tourist time??

Thanks, Steph, for the info on my bicarbonates; yes, I will let the docs keep an eye on that for me; yeah, I've had both shock and hyperventilation (A LOT OF IT IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS), but he also said that that could also be a side affect of the Diamox I'm on for my "episodes" (acidosis?)...like I said, I'm gonna get it rechecked next week

Played shitty soccer.. *oops... sorry Marci* (im supposed to try to keepthis G rated... lol) but we stunk up the field... got beat 7 to 2... and simply cuz we were bad... and THEY weere really good.
oH... almost forgot...im flat for the week... *SIGH* I was on a losing roll too... damnit...
I don't keep up with weight on my ticker, but I am starting to believe I should, after my PMS meltdown last week. :) At least that way it won't sneak up on me! HA HA HA!
I lost 2 pounds this week. Damn water weight...I also did 4 weight circuits, added three 20-minute jumproping sessions and ran 8 miles, for the ticker.
I also bought a Latin dancing instruction disk, so I have been doing Salsa and Merengue and there is some hip-hip stuff in there too...fun, and funny! You'd be surprised how much it works the lower body! :)
Hip Hip.....HA HA HA HA! Of course, I meant hip-hop. :)

Marci, I almost left this am for Jackson to see mom, but it's such a rollercoaster! I have decided to stay put unless something drastically changes - either for the better or the worst - I am prepared...

I told my brother that she needs to hush, because we all have different relationships with mom and we all grieve differently and I don't have to explain either one to her!
But the guilt remains...
My exhusband, Scott, was pissed when I was telling him how rude she was to me...we were still married when I had custody of both of my little sisters...he was like you have always done so much for them...don't let her guilt you...do what is right for you and remember that you have to have leave and command support to see your kids and all...he made me feel a little better.

Well, they're probably just getting done with my aunt's service..all of my thoughts right now are on/to my uncle and cousins that lost a beautiful wife and mother (she was also a grandmother and great-grandmother); I'm gonna call my uncle in a couple of weeks, after it's settled dpwm a bit, to see how he and rest of the family are doing...I can't get over how much we have in common now; I have so much empathy for them
Tina...I did that yesterday... today I am going to work out and do some shopping - Paul and the girls got me several gift cards for my birthday - he's knows thats the only way I will go to the mall, LOL! Love you, too!

No gym for me today... maybe tomorrow. Hope brenda can go... but if not cutie patootie fred will, as he doesnt want me "hangin with the marines" when he isnt present... haha
Leigh Ann, there was nothing for me to report the week before. I ran (or tried to!) only 2 days, for a total of 6 miles. I did not touch a weight. I was still sick. But, I feel better about my progress this week, so I will just go with that, if you don't mind.
I am glad you are coming home next weekend! And, I totally agree with Scott. He is such a great guy. :)

Leigh Ann, you do what you have to do..I mean, the others realize that your job cannot allow you to be right now.. it's not like them, they work and then run to the hospial... you would never sleep... don't worry over that...
