Yes, Marci and I had a great visit and my mom woke up and tried to talk to my brother...they decided not to try and wean her from the breathing machine because she was still running a fever and her blood pressure is low...will stay until the 8pm visit...

Just got back from the soccer field, we played a team from Encinitas - we beat them 4 - 2. The coach was a BI*CH!!! She came out to our field and proceeded to tell OUR coach how ghetto our field was!! THAT set the tone for the whole game!
WE WHOOPED them! HA
Go Tina! How awesome... she had to eat "crow"... and of all places the "ghetto field".... LOL
The circumstances of the visit was not good... but the visit was GREAT!...
Leigh Ann said she found her mom to look a little worse, but they had her fever down at that point, and she was a little responsive...
I thought her facial coloring was good, but I had not seen her before that point.
and of course we got to plan our visit together for October... John Mark (Leigh Ann's brother) is getting married next month... and it is on a Sunday... so we are all going to get rooms for the Saturday night and visit and cut up.... I told John Mark, we would have hangovers at his wedding!
I stopped off in Kentwood on the way home and visited with her Dad and sister for about 2 hours... another nice visit...
I feel very blessed to have them in me and my families life. :)
Tina, it was fantastic to talk to you this after noon... the first time we called, she thought I was calling KK... until she heard your voice on the voicemail... and she said "awe".. and smiled....
Marci - I am glad you were able to be there for our LeighAnn! It was so good talking to you both! I miss her so much and when she is hurting it makes me wanna jump on a plane!! I am so glad she has you close... and stephanie too!!
Well...gonna go drink a glass of wine with Fred and maybe watch some tv... and then...well ... we will just hafta see. *wink wink*

Leigh Ann... i forgot to tell you. My mom and dad were at the game today - came down... watched and left... (they make a 3 hour drive to watch their grandbaby's play) and my mom said to let you know you were in her thoughts and she hoped your mom would be fine. Love you girl!

today...visited with inlaws
went with Steve to doc appt at the VA hospital...my favorite place to nap is in waiting rooms...and I did just that...but layed across 2 chairs due to my back hurting..who cares that the waiting room was full of VETS (men)...then we visited Lit and Mai (I love that man!! He's my vietnamese Hon Non Bo teacher) I havent' seen him in awhile since he was busy adding onto his home...which now looks like the Taj Mahal in La Mesa...then out to Cindy's nursery ...she works so hard and has the most incredible FUNKY nursery I have ever been too...then I had to shave/bathe and go to have my hour long massage...which has rejuventated me...I feel so good that tonight...I may go out and build a house....the back spasms I've had for 5 days are GONE :)
And Tina...I'm ON for tomorrow, you just call me and let me know if you are :)

Hey there; I'll catch up w/ everything when I'm more stable again...just had another blow to the family; my aunt, the one that had the cancer return (mom's sister) lost her battle this morning at 3am (CST); you talk about having a familial connection though.....I was able to get some sleep finally, but woke up just in tears at 3am our time, not knowing what had happened...my brother told me (that's where I am for the next couple of days) that both my cousins (different ones) and my brother did the same thing...and that's w/o saying a word to the other
Kathi...I'm just so very sorry for all this heartache that continues....I can't imagine the loss one after the other...Is it God's plan to have your mom and sister together right now ??? It's the only thing I can think of...and that God is testing your strength in him ...I believe it...I'm just so sorry for you :( Lots of love, ok Kathi!!!!

Kathi, so sorry for you and your family... a long battle for your aunt... I agree with Brenda... it's God's plan.. and maybe your mom had to go and prepare for her sister first.... so "your aunt" could let go and be at peace and not suffer....
