Tina, congrats on the weight loss and damn those mamma's and papa's!
Brenda, good job on the working out-I have GOT to get to the gym!
Kathi, what a wonderful family you have, I can't imagine what you have been thru.
Stephanie, we have had Soccer all day and tomorrow as well - it stinks for our social agenda. BTW, one of the parents were talking about that winery - they said it was a blast!
Marci, what's the "economy" talk...pictures would be great:)
It's weird here about the gas...long lines with the shortages and all.
Steph, you're all out of gas? Is that cuz of the hurricanes?
Right now, I feel light headed and feels like there's a huge pit in my stomach...my sister said it perfectly; it's like I'm shaking inside..and my stomach hurts REALLY bad; but I guess the good thing is I did get some good sleep last night (only cuz I took some benadryl cuz I'm allergic to the bouquet of flowers that my sister saved for me from the service..god, when my brother dropped me off at home yesterday, I got in my house and just stood there for a second, thinking "now what?" It's really hard for me to describe what I'm feeling right now; it's weird
Yes, Kathi, I hear 80% of the stations in Nashville (according to AAA) are out of gas until around Tuesday. Every pump in Smyrna has bags on it...all dry. I did find some today, though. I couldnt believe the problem got all the way up here, because of the mess in Galveston.
I hope you feel better soon. It has been a tough week, I know.
I just talked to my aunt in Apple Valley and she said that I may still be in shock; I also talked to my aunt (mom's sister) in Chicago...she's already not well from the cancer and pneumonia she caught in the hospital; this just completely shattered her, because she and mom were very close; one of my biggest fears is that now that the "California connection" is gone, we're gonna lose touch with the family in Chicago; my sister tried to reassure me that they're not gonna let that happen; I hope to God that's true..although someone said to my sister when her and mom were there in May not give their email to me cuz I spread spam..I can't tell you how much that hurts right now
I can't believe that either, Steph; my cousin lives in Galveston and DIDN'T EVACUATE; she's an idiot, but I guess she's ok; and that's according to her brother, my cousin Mel
Kathi...thinking about you, you can take over as the link to Chicago, just as your mom was :) I think about things like that too with my mom being the glue..our generation just has to step up ...as hard as that is
Steph...amazing what your town is going through...OMG!! I can'timagine...that shuts down an entire city!! WOW!!
Tina...I was awake too...kind of glad we didn't go...I could barely walk after the soreness set it from Sat...speed wallking and running on the treadmill...OMG!! I had to take motrin and I can tell I'm about ready for more!! LOL Hope the soccor game was a winner for you all and that you had a good day!!
Leighann...I know you are having a good ole time with your family!!!!
Hey all... busy busy today... lot to talk about .... Kathi, hoping you and your family are doing ok, what a wonderful tribute to your mom.... :) Love you....
Steph, I know about the gas shortage.. :( so weird.. I mean, you know there is gas out there... it's like they want to act like no one has gas so they can jack the prices up....
Leigh Ann, so glad you had a wonderful evening with your honey and a great day with the kids.. no resting over there...
Brenda & Tina, clap clap at the gym... proud of you both... I bought me some new Nikes' today.. walking tomorrow evening..
We went to a family "surprise" party today for my Great Aunt... she turned 90! it was a surprise, however, no one knew until tonight, that after the hurricane and everyone went back to work, she was taking RSVP's on who was attending!!! LMAO ROF..... she is a trip... they lit the candles 3 times and everytime we started singing she blew them out... finally the third time she said.. "cut the damn cake, I want a piece!"... LOL
Marci :) That's just beautiful!! Your aunt sounds really FUNNY!! Yes, that gas situation...not good!!
WOOHOO!! Tina :) Those kids are on a roll!! Yes, I'm on for the gym....I'll meet you there...I can barely move after I've been sitting for long...but once I get moving, I'm good...I worked on our hill this afternoon :D
Yeah, crazy about the gas, huh? I tell you...I am glad I work at home. They were talking on the radio on Friday about watching your gas tanks, that they have had reports of people drilling a hole in the bottom of your tank while the car is on your driveway...apparently thieves don't siphon anymore...that's old school. :(
Brenda, I know exactly what you mean about the speed walking. I can run for miles, but if I speed walk, even though everyone who has ever seen me do it, won't go with me again because I walk REALLY fast, boy does that work an entire different group of muscles than running. It KILLS your shins, and glutes! You gotta really pull those toes up, and keep the buttocks tight the whole time...squeeze, squeeze, squeeze. Guaranteed, you will be sore! I love to power walk. I see the looks on people's faces when I pass some of them who are at a slow jog, and I am walking! HA HA HA!
Ohhh...I love the "harvest moon fairy" picture. Very cool!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I feel a lot better today. Whatever it is, Jonathan brought it home, and we have all had it. Ansley literally rubbed the skin off of her nose and abraded underneath her eyes from the itching and drainage, poor baby. Of course, mine is in my lungs, where I don't need it.
