Can I just say... I AM SOOO SORE.
I guess the flying dive over Jeff waited till yesterday to make itself felt. My arms (from bracing my landing) are so sore i can hardly move them. Better this morning but ohhh la la was I hurting. Spent the day in bed with motrin. Got up long enuff to get Fred a cake from Vons and give him his presents.
Well... still very sore today but simply MUST get to the gym... will see how it goes. Off to get ready for work.
Steph...saw your post on the previous entry :) What a great time away you had!! Sounds like a beautiful place....was the water cold?? Glad you had some family away time before the school rush begins ...best wishes for your freshman :) amazing how you can stick to healthy eating while on vacation!! and work out!!

Ok, so I called the doc AGAIN a little while ago; he's on call today, so doesn't have "clinic" (I'm gonna start keeping a running tally...that's two emails and two phone calls within the last WEEK!!) I'M DONE!!!!! - with the pain, not contacting him :D

YAHOOOOOOOOOOO!! MY doc called a little while ago; he doesn't want to do another steroid inj., but he does want to put some numbing meds in there, just to see if it's actually coming from that one spot (which it is) still, or if it isn't elsewhere...if the inj. works, then we know it's still that joint and we'll decide what the next step is...he doesn't want to just jump into a surgery and not have it work; so I go in on Friday morning :D

Leighann...I'm doing good :) Steve and I are going to meet with Allyson and her general manager hopefully for breakfast this weekend...we'd like to have a chat session about her job...the guy was given the opportunity to take his management team(apparantly this includes Allyson) to the Cannes Festival ...Hmmm he, at every opportunity, asks Allyson to join his team in Vegas :( Sooo...Steve and I have lots of questions....and this should also help Allyson make decisions based on all the info laid out ...

My day was busy - you know how it is when your gone for a week - catch up is rough! And I think I have car-lag (vs. jet-lag). It's usually hard to wind down after driving here and I wake up exhausted. Trying to stay awake until 8:30 or so and crash:)

I had my breakdown after work,...
too much going on....
I ended up slipping and busting my ass on the carport with 5 grocery bags and 1 1/2 dozen of eggs!!! yuck! Mike scrambled eggs tonight along with the other supper...
I hit my shoulder, my elbow my hip twisted my knee and I am not sure whether I broke my big toe or not!
geez!!! LOL.... thank GOD my backyard is fenced in and no one saw me!!!! ROF LMAO

Kmart... meds.... no prescriptions ready.... (after waiting 35 minutes)
grocery store....
then, you know the rest of the story....
had my meltdown and screamed at EVERYONE!!!! (except Mylee)

My day wasnt bad.. boring... tomorrow I have to go "observe" a focus group. Its gonna be funny because I am a certified facilitator, so it will be interesting to watch the boss do this! LOL. He is a rambling talker, which is not condusive to focus groups. HA

Oh, that's not good, LA; stay safe; you ever been in a tornado? I was in a tropical storm once (TS Bob, back in '85 in Florida - my mom and I were in Boca Raton visiting my grandmother when she lived there - my two aunts were there also...it hit on the day we were leaving, but amazingly, we were able to take off; I was scared shitless of course and didn't want to leave)
It is scary...I am such a wuss! LOL
You are NOT a wuss! Grab a good book and a warm blanket... turn the radio up really loud and hunker down for the night and pretend its a sunny day! :o) I can call you and keep you occupied if ya want!! LOVE YOU!!!

I am glad the storms weren't unbearable, Leigh Ann.
It has been cooler here so far this week, especially at night. I think it is 60 now...I have a terrible sinus headache and am coughing my head off...cannot breathe. I want to get on the treadmill but when I am so congested, I try to take it easy. I can tell I am sick because I get tired just going up the steps I usually take 2 at a time!
I want someone to take care of me, but I just remembered...I am the mom now. If I want chicken soup, I have to get it myself!

I actually brought Mylee at 7 a.m. when KK left... and I was back home at 7:30.. Sam left at 7:35 and I finished up with Madi and Gabbi and then off to work by 8!!! Yeah... smooth

Oh Leighann ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! Remember the time my sis and the kids were on there front step (florida or georgia) and they were watching a bad storm go through and it got REALLY windy across the street and down the road...this was like at midnight...next morning she saw the news...it was a tornado they were watching come down the road and across the street through some yards...she went outside after seeing the news...sure enough...she saw the path of it from the damage...now obviously it wasn't a bad tornado but it was one that left a path of damage and here her and the kids were on the front step OUTSIDE watching what they thought was just wind and storm LOL....she sent me the damage pics....I was stunned!! LOL
OMG...no, not me! I would have peed myself and then probably fainted!

Wow, that really stinks...I am glad you know people who will keep her in line! We actually moved Rayna in the 4th grade because she was so stressed over the teacher yelling and degrading other students. When I talked to the teacher, she was like but, I never have to say anything to Rayna - and I was like yeah, but your still giving her a nervous breakdown!!! Poor kid, I hope he told his mom!

That reminds me of Zachs 7th grade science teacher... and she and I had it out. Zach still tells people how his "mom made Ms. Ki cry" Holy shit - she said some really crappy things about zach to me over the phone...and then i found out HE WAS IN THE ROOM LISTENING TO HER!!! I was at that school within 15 minutes and the counselor thought I might kick her ass!!! I very simply told her that if she thought she was so smart whe she destroyed a kids self esteem... to try MINE. And that I could kick her ass in a battle of wits OR grits... HAG!! She was very nice to him for the rest of the year.
I HATE that... we as parents spend so much time building confidence... to have someone we TRUST tear that apart!!! ARGGGG watch out!!!

Went to the doc...I have tendonitis...and rcvd a wrist brace...what a pain...but since I work on a computer and do lots of gardening, I'm going to do exactly what I'm told to get it better :)
Did some great walking at work...20 mins on the AM break and 30 min for lunch :) Then went with Tina to the gym....
Leighann you must feel great having your hair and nails done...I'm coloring mine SOON :)

Brenda - ouch, that's what was wrong with my shoulder a few years ago. They gave me a steriod shot right into my shoulder and I could have hugged the doctor. The pain and stiffness was COMPLETELY gone within 24 hours! Did they offer you one?

I remember one of the worst days of my life was zach's freshman HS soccer year when the entire week of tryouts he was on the varsity list and the VERY last day, when one of the old players returned, decided he DID want to play after all and bumped zach to JV. He was devastated... and it was NOT fun being his mom at that moment... *sigh*

Sheesh, Leigh Ann, I've only got a couple more years to go before I have to do all these tests...but the mammogram thing is just about right for your age...the "yearly thing" starts at 40; as far as the doc feeling something on the "right side", might be a cyst, if anything...I have a cyst on my right O as well....no biggie, except sometimes it REALLY hurts when I'm starting to fall of the roof

Well, I've managed to stay in my boot all day today....and on my butt (stayed off the foot all day, so it kind of feels ok right now); appt tomorrow; mom's taking me so she find out more about the surgery and all that it entails; fingers and toes are crossed...

I am so tired, and my ribs hurt from coughing. I feel like hell when I first wake up but better as I get hot coffee in my throat and start moving around some. I am waiting for the feeling better to start, this morning.

Can't sleep for some reason; think it might be nerves; could be b/c I might be facing surgery after today's appt...but that's weird, cuz I've had TONS AND TONS of operations before, and NEVER this nervous--CORRECTION--I was when I had my cancer surgery almost 16 years ago; might be also b/c after this surgery, I'm gonna be in a wheelchair for a few months..I think that would knock the wind out of anyone's sail

Yes, Leighann...I do believe I was in the vicinity of one of Tina's whistle's LMAO...I wish I could do that LOL...When I was watching the play back of the Olympics opening ceremony...Zippy Bird was so excited at the music that he just went whistle nuts LOL...normally he does his singing in the first half of the day...it's rare for him to go full blown at night ...it was really funny

Well Jenna did NOT get cut... but it was NOT final cuts either!!! ARRG. Monday the remaining girls join the juniors and seniors and tryouts continue. The coach says she thinks the teams (all 3) should be finalized late next week. I dont think my tummy can take the pressure!!! ARG.
Ok, I'm back (not only from doc appt, but with lunch with Mom...yum yum)
No surgery yet; he's gonna do a CT Scan (yes, of my foot--never heard of that, but I guess anything's possible) to look more carefully/closely at the joint to see just how bad the arthritis is; if it's not too horrible, I think he said that surgery's not warranted right now; so I'm about to call radiology to schedule that; and then he wants to see me a week after the scan; he DOES NOT want me to wear the boot as often, cuz that'll create more problems (atrophe of muscles, lose ROM, etc), but he did give me a brace to wear that I can wear my shoes with...so we'll see how everything goes...
Think positively, Tina; and GO JENNA!!! How sweet would that be if she got be on Varsity as a frosh (that's what we used to call freshman in high school)?!

Kathi, I am sorry about your foot. I don't pretend to even know your level of pain with your foot, but I do remember spraining my ankle playing soccer when I was 16. I had a huge black "goose egg" on my ankle. I had to wear a splint, and the doctor said, "keep ranging it", and I was like, how am I supposed to range it, if I can't move it, period? I knew what you meant when you said that. I hope it gets better with minimal surgical intervention.
I was watching the news with my coffee and they said they found a 36-year-old nurse at a local hospital, dead in the restroom of an apparent intentional overdose. That is so sad, and shocking to hear about. I used to work up there.
Ugh...that is awful about the nurse!!!
