Happy Monday to you guys, too!!!
Just got back from having coffee at Starbucks with my husband:) Now, he is off to have his physical exam done and I am getting packed and putting my uniform together.
Too funny about the heights and windows. I can see it now - Kathy and Brenda would be enjoying the view...Tina and Stephanie would be on the opposite wall and I would be somewhere in the middle of the room - hey, I could be the beer runner! HAHA!!!
Does anyone mind if we don't do the challenge? I mean we can challenge ourselves however, but I won't track it.
But, the 1st annual blogger trip is still on...what are ya'lls thoughts?

Hope Jonathan is ok...my two little ones are still sleeping - that makes me wonder how they are feeling? Rayna is a little sore, but her elbow feels better. How was John?

Leigh Ann, John is just like nothing happened. I half expected him to start coughing up blood or something...I am glad nothing is broken with him, or with Rayna. He said he didnt think she hit, because he tried to land and cushion the fall for her...well, I told him you and Paul said that's not what it looked like. I am glad I missed it.
We are going to bring a sander next time we are over, and scuff up that section of the deck so its not so slick when wet! Or maybe put some of those little non-slip sticky things for the tub down. Ha Ha!
Or maybe my husband could act 35, and not 13! Ever notice he is usually right in the middle with the kids?
I thought Jonathan's energy level was down and he looked a little pale yesterday. He is still sleeping. I am hoping he feels better this morning. He hasnt had Tylenol in about 6 hours, and he still feels cool to me.
I want some Starbucks!!

Glad they are both ok...but, she was under him wrapped in a towel - he made sure he didn't land hard on her, but she was between his chest and the deck...her tailbone was tender last night as well, but her elbow was swollen. All seems to be okay today, except for some soreness.
Glad Jonathan's fever seems to be gone - with school and all - it would be even worse.
My little ones just woke up!

As far as where to go on the trip...I think we're leaving that up to you, since you started this blog; but, I did put my input in where to go and the time of year (Vegas in the spring)
Ok, I have an appt. today with another Podiatrist, THANK YOU GOD. If he gives me another cortisone shot, I'm gonna rip his head off, b/c that'll mean he'll have to manipulate the hell out of my foot to make space between the joints; maybe I'll take a Vicodin just before we leave...

Hey I'm good with our regular tracking and then still have our reunion :) I'm good anywhere the blog takes us...Vegas...or even back east so those with little ones can make it without having to travel so far :)
I am all doped, Marci; that THE ONLY reason I can still walk...
Well girls, looks like Vegas did me in....the doctor today took some xrays to have something to go by; and basically said I'm pretty much out of options; looks like surgery's my only answer (he didn't give me another cortisone injection, b/c I'm already on Prednisone...too many steroids isn't good, so Marci, I didn't hurt him...lol); but this is what's gonna SUCK BIG TIME.... I CANNOT put any weight bearing on my left foot after surgery at all, which means I'm gonna be in a wheelchair for 3-4 MONTHS...so I'm REALLY gonna think long and hard about if I really want this... I do, b/c I want to be out of pain; but is it gonna prevent me from going to family functions (it's gonna prevent me from going to my parents house, b/c it's not cemented on either side of the house; it's rocks...my brothers places, are cemented, so I can go through the side gate, but just not in their houses; and forget about my sister's condo...she lives upstairs... so; what to do, what to do!
Kathi, what about crutches just to and from inside... and then straight to the wheelchair...
I say eleviate the pain.... the other alternatives just sound like you have been tortured.... :(

Marci, I'm not that great with crutches, but I do have a walker with four wheels on it AND a seat, so I could put my knee on the seat and "hobble" into the houses that way; crutches put too much pressure on my shoulders
Thanks, Bren; I'm probably gonna need a lot of support, b/c my sister won't be able to lift a wheelchair/walker into her, or any car b/c she has RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy - pretty severe nerve damage in her arm, due to a broken wrist four or five years ago) and my mom certainly can't do it; my dad MIGHT be able to, but he won't understand why he needs to; and my bros (especially the one in OC) aren't gonna come down here, pick me up, drive back to their houses, drive me home and then drive back; and I seriously don't think they'll all come here to do stuff, mainly because I don't have to room..but they all think I live like a pig (oink, oink...lol)

Ok, any advice on how to get my dad to take a shower? My mom says he hasn't taken one in ........ are you guys ready ....... TWO WEEKS; my sister was there for almost ten hours today to try and get him in there...NOTHING WORKED; he says he's not 100% ready to take one (I cracked up when my sis said that - and it was a good thing I did b/c she was COMPLETELY DRAINED, so it made her laugh and relax a bit); So any help anyone can give is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED...and remember, he does have Dementia, so it's the disease that making him like this

LA, I don't know when they'll do surgery...I have to first see MY doc; the one I saw yesterday, I saw urgently; my doc's gonna be back in the office tomorrow--hopefully he'll call..but the doc yesterday said that my joint in my foot is destroyed b/c of the arthritis; so I guess Vegas really did do me in; I don't know if I will be able to go on the Blogger Trip now..have to wait and see

Kathi...maybe if your dad won't shower..maybe washing, at least, at the sink...I don't know...maybe get with a support group to work with those going through it :) I really think that is just as important as taking daily meds...There are online support groups...http://www.ivillage.com/

We just got back from his school registration today, and I bought him some school stuff (ball cap, T-shirt, etc.) The school is HUGE and almost new. He is so excited. I am excited because it is on the national list for schools of excellence. :)
yes, my fondest memories are with my elderly grandmother... who was bedridden... and in a wheelchair the last 30 years of her life... she was wonderful!
maybe try something like we are planning a get together and we are going to take family pictures...

It's 5pm Kathi...big problem though :( the handicapped sign will not get you anywhere near where they play :( the parking lot is quite away from the entrance to the sports complex...even dropping you off on the curb....you'll have aways to go to get to the gate...then even further to get to the field...and then stairs to get to the refreshment stand...I think the soccor outings should wait until this is all past you :(

I know since this whole geobachelor thing started, I can't keep my hands off my husband! I have only lost a few pounds lately (which I think I am gaining back) but I feel so much sexier. God knows I have spent the last few years hating my body, so, it's nice to like it again. And of course, then my husband (who doesn't need any encouragement) gets turned on by my new attitude...you see where this is going! LOL
I know, probably TMI - but midas well share the positive - Lord knows I share the negative:D

Fred, Brenda and I just got back from the gym... I got my calorie burn (in the same time) up to 315 calories!! WHOOO HOOO! Did arms today...tricep and biceps... tomorrow bike and crunches and legs. Brenda and I are gonna start rotating bike and eliptical... if I can get my heart rate up on the bike too... then I will do that every other trip.
Love the "after gym" feeling of accomplishment!
Well now for food... and shower/tv/bed.

Yay, here's to buff...It is so nice to put on a tank top and actually see some progress in the musculature in my shoulders and upper arms! No flaccid grandma arms, AKA bat wings. :) I have always hated my triceps.
I grabbed the door for some people coming out of a restaurant the other day, and I heard one of them say "Dang, did you see her arms?" That made me feel good.

Hey Tina! YEs, I'm on for the gym..I'm not having any arm/hand problems at the gym...even using the machines to work my arms...but I think I'll stay away from them...just in case
I tried to get in the doc earlier than my appt next weds...nope too busy on their end...but I'm following their advice...and so far..I'm able to get through the day...difficult..but working...I have a heating pad rubberbanded to my right wrist and arm ...several times a day...lots of motrin..various arm positioning..and slowly working through my job :D

Im glad your coming but your arm hurting sucks Brenda! Im surprised your doctor will have anything to do with that... mine would insist that i see a workers comp doctor via work...she wont touch my tendonitis with a 10 foot pole. But I am now WAY more careful and have learned to recognize the signs... so do the wrist excercises and I make sure I am sitting properly... i would MUCH rather slouch... lol
the nurse who called me back..knows I work on a computer at work...but didn't say anything about WC...Hmmm we'll see...I dread that...they make you feel BAD..they did anyway when I fell down the stairs at work...
Yes, I'm doing all sorts of things here at the desk to enable me to keep working :) need to learn the hand exercises though...that's one thing I haven't done, normally
Yes... a WC claim is like taboo around here too. Its unfortunate that in call centers there are so many employees who take advantage of the system that those who REALLY need and deserve it are left feeling like shit.

I got on the scale this morning and I am down 5 lbs!!!!!!! I was so excited... I know it's been a few weeks since I weighed....... I've been in the pool at least 4 times a week doing water exercises....

I haven't been declined at my regular doc for my injurys yet..will know next weds...I think it happened last year when our production numbers were raised to unbelievable numbers...and I was the only one to reach them...because I wanted that raise..well, several months ago is when I noticed when my hands weren't as strong as they were before...Luckily last month they lowered the production because they realised they were too high...
Right now the motrin, heat, hand exercises and slowing down is helping keep the serverity of this down so I can get through the day..AMEN!!
Brenda, yes, isn't it amazing the more you do the more they want...

Madi sat at the table and cried for 20 minutes... and then followed me around the house for 30 minutes... her words...

she ended up throwing up in the driveway and having a panic attack...
it's been 2 hours though and no phone call.. so maybe she is doing good.

Here things went good. Paul had already filled out the packet from hell for the girls so, so all I had to do was meet and greet. Mackenzie got who she wanted and Dailen's teacher seems sweet as well. I finally had to tell the teachers in the hallways to pay my two kids no mind - they wouldn't quit fooling with the lockers! LOL! I was like "they didn't have these in San Diego" It was funny! We left there and went to Starbucks:D
Paul had a great first day at work at school, too!
Took my car into the shop - $600 bucks for the breaks - man, I can't get a break with the cars! DAMN IT!
The weather was great today so, I laid out this afternoon - mid 80's breezy and low humidity. Tomorrow is more of the same.
Tonight we are going to dinner with my old doctor and his wife. His son is the one who rented our house while we were in San Diego...
