Morning...my episode came back...only really comes back when I lie down and try and sleep...I'm thinking of "bringing it on" so I can get rid of it once and for all; took more ativan, so i'm still out of it :D
you guys should hear what we're - my brothers, sisters and I - doing for my parents for their birthdays...dad's 75, mom's 70...we're gonna get a limo, pick them up at the house and then take them to Ruth's Chris Steak House (think it's still a steak house), and maybe other places, since we have to have the limo for several hours....sounds like a great time

Yes... Ruth Chris is very fancy... so dress or slacks and a nice blouse.
Thats one of the great things about Claim Jumpers - jeans and shorts are ok and so is a bit more dressy... :o)

Yes, Claim Jumpers is so good and so fun - the kids remember going when they weighed them and then mulitplied it by what a dime and that was to cost of their meal - something like that...

Today was a lot better. Mondays are REALLY hard for me. I am not going home this weekend. I am going to wait and fly home on the evening of the 15th and stay until the 21st - the drive is going to be too much for me on a regular weekend. And, since I have almost 90 of leaves on the books, I am going to take it until they tell me No!

I just got home from dentist I HATE DENTIST. My mouth is soooo numb. had to have a Crown replaced...and oooouch it hurt... he gave me SIX freaking shots. And I hate being numb ALMOST as much as pain... sooo.. that should tell ya something. LOL

Yes, really excited about my trip, I am missing Mackenzie's first 3 v 3 tournament and Rayna's high school soccer tryouts, but this worked best...I just talked to all four of them and they sound WONDERFUL:)
They caught me up on whats happening, told on each other, asked lots of questions about my job (actually Mackenzie is the only one who does that - it cracks me up) and they were all ok with the weekend thing.
I still can't think "3 years" without getting sick to my stomach but today has been a good day and I am going to take it!
Thats it!! You deserve a good day and you SHOULD take it! Love that Mackenzie takes the time to show mom she is interested in her day. That is SOOO sweet! And that they TATTLE even across the miles. LOVE IT!!

WTG Marci...I actually had to speak to mine yesterday...Jonathan went over for a visit, and as my husband was at work, I had to call and tell her to sunblock him (he is SO SUNBURNED, but rolls his eyes at me when I remind him he needs sunblock or his skin is going to char and turn to dust!!!). She got on the phone and I said, "Hey..." and I got stone cold silence...yep, she left me hanging, SO, I just picked up with the sunblock spill and got the hell off of there. What an asshole (I was referring to her, the old Panzer (that's a WWII tank)...LOL! She is German, and 76 years old, so that seems appropriate. :)
She bought Jonathan a gift, but still nothing for Ansley. and Ansley understood, too.. She said, where is my toy, Jon-Jon? I said, don't worry, tomorrow we will get you a toy, baby. She said, I want toy dragon. I think it's hilarious that she remembers toys she saw in the store a week ago, and waits to ask for them at the most opportune moments! What a brain!
So, we are off in the morning to buy a plastic dragon whose wings move up and down and he "flies" when you push a button on his back.
And that's what happened to me in Smyrna yesterday...
Good for you, Marci; can't you just ignore them, and hopefully they'll just go away? It's sad that it's gonna come down to that, but what else can you do?
BTW, man is my son going to be pissed, but my decision is that if MIL cannot buy for both of my children, we will not be accepting any more gifts from her.

The sick thing is, John has not bought a gift, or even a card, for her in the past 14 years. I have always done all of that for him, and if it weren't for me, she would never have seen Jonathan. I made sure to take him over there to visit a couple of times a week. John NEVER goes over. Well, I guess that's what I get for trying to love and be loved.
She can say whatever she wants about me, but she is not going to abuse or neglect my kids...

I am heading to the gym - we get to PT & have lunch from 1100 - 1300everyday.
So, my goal is to be a couple of pounds lighter and a couple of shades darker when I fly home next week:)
I worked out Monday, but yesterday I didn't get home till almost 1800 and was wiped out.
Wow, Leigh Ann. Time set aside every day for PT? I am jealous! I can totally see you running on the beach...well, I can imagine some really well built military men running on the beach in my mind, but that gets us into a whole different situation, right? ;)

Wow, Marci, that is a big step. I know two ladies who have had that stapling procedure done; the results were quick, and drastic. I mean, wow. They have nothing but good things to say...but it is all individual choice, of course!

I have a $250 deductible, which is already met... and the most out of pocket for the year for family is only $4000.... and Gabrielle has eaten most of that already this year... it shouldn't costs more than $2000.... or even less....
but yes, I am worth the other amount!!! LOL
Steph, I know it is drastic... I've struggled with my weight for years.... and now that I had 2 little ones back to back 7/8 years ago.... and then a hysterectomy...
my thyroids are screwed up.. and I'm just aggravated....

Marci, I think I heard that the Lapband surgery is a lot more easier to recover from - and I THINK its reversable (you can have it removed, if you wish). I've been thinking about some kind of surgery like that, but not sure Medi-cal (or Medicare) will cover it
Hey Ladies!! I JUST got back from the gym. Fred talked me into going... I was gonna skip it but I was bitchin about my weight... and wanting a beer... and blah blah blah... so he said GET DRESSED WE ARE GOING TO THE GYM... and off we went. I did 30 minutes and 280 calories on the eliptical...then the nautilus work out that i do when i go with brenda.
NOW i dont feel guilty about the beer I am about to enjoy!

I'm not trying to use the surgery for an excuse.. just have tried everything... and can't adjust or stick to anything... either my health or my willpower gets the best of me... and I think personal issues.. also contribute..
IE mother in law, my sisters, stress, etc....

Stampede...OMG. That place is a HOLE. :) John took me there for the first time when I met him, and it was REALLY a country bar then..and I am sure it was there 10-15 years before I went for the first time. Then I remember hearing kids in class (college) talking about going and I just smiled to myself! Oh yes, we have definitely been there. :)
Leigh Ann, I told you, I went into that little liquor store down from our house, and the guy who owns Stampede, also owns the liquor store, IMAGINE THAT! He was like HEY...I REMEMBER YOU! I had a baby on my hip...LOL!!

I just looked at web cams on line, and that is DEFINITELY reasonable. I would like to get one this week. :) I had a thought though...it is a huge joke with people who work from home, that web cams are a bad idea for work conference calls...oh no, you have to shower and dress and DO SOMETHING WITH THAT HAIR before logging on to a web cam call...I do most of my work at 2 in the morning, in a baby-tee shirt and boxers, hair pulled up in a pony and no makeup...scary! :)
I have a closet full of beautiful office clothes, that I never get to wear!

HI ALL!! As you can see, this is my first time on here today; went and had the injection in my ankle; went OK...it's a little sore, but I'll live. Doc said that I can have 3 cortisone inj. a year...god i hope this one holds till the end of the year...then my mom and I went to lunch at Denny's right near where we were in El Cajon...it was a fun, but tiring day

My seminar was very informative...
I think now I am leaning on doing the sleeve... here's the breakdown fast...
1. The band,something foreign in your body and you have a port... restriction on what goes in. so if you don't chew good or eat too much, you throw up (I hate throwing up).... minimal to good weightloss...reversable
2. THe Sleeve, your stomache is cut smaller remove the excess and same digestive tract... good to great weightloss....
irreversable
3. The Bypass, yourstomache is completely removed except for a small pouch (smaller than a boiled egg).. and your stomache is left in your body.... (for what????)
irreversable... great to maximum weightloss.....
oh and
3. the bypass, they "bypass" most of the intestines... so the breakdown is not too good....
#1, outpatient, down 2-4 days
#2, 1 night in, 5-7 down days
#3, 2 nights in, down a good 3 weeks...
I"m thinking, I had a hysterectomy, bladder lift, reconstruction of vaginal walls, a hernia repair and a tumor removed at one time, and was out of work 3 weeks...
I'm thinking a fast recovery...

Yeah, you don't want to be down too long after all you've been through already... but, if you have complications after you have the "sleeve", you might want to stay in the hospital for a night, just to make sure all is ok
I still have to meet with the doctor one on one... and of course do bloodwork, EKG, etc....
that's another 2 weeks away....
and of course, you don't just do this and your on your own...
they have dieticians, nutritionists, personal trainers, etc....
Oh yeah, I know; but when I had my cancer surgery, I was back in the hospital two days after I got home due to infection (and the bottom of my scar had opened up cuz they put steri-strips - which I'm allergic to - where the staples were)

It did really suck!! But I felt better after I came home the second time...I guess you could tell from my face that I wasn't feeling well..yeah, I guess you can say I've been thru the ringer a few times...all I'm hoping for now is the cortisone injections to hold out and I don't need to have the surgery....cuz IT'S A BIG ONE

I have a HIGH tolerance for pain...
even when I had my babies... I got straight back into it....
I left the hospital with KK after 11 hours after delivery.... LOL
My boss says.....
"a raw bone woman can handle anything"... ha what a southern pig huh????? LOL

Happy Friday ladies!! Well in addition to all the stuff I took today off to accomplish, our house got egged last night - soooo... I will be doing a lot of wall, sidewalk, driveway and garage scrubbing with baking soda. PISSES ME OFF. Toilet Paper the whole freakin place if you want... its a bitch but doesnt do damage. If i catch these kids they are in deep shit!! God... from skunksmell to eggs. WHEEEE

Tina, I know exactly how you feel. A few years ago I got a brand new car, and within 6 months it got egged (along with the front of my house) and then while parked in a different location, it got shaving cream, egg, maybe dish soap and toothpaste and I dont know what else on it. Leigh Ann will remember...what luck...JERKS!! You know it's kids, and what fun when you don't have to pay. I hope you catch them!
Whew... 2 hours later and we are done scrubbing the driveway, entry, etc. (we being the girls and I) Fred and Zach are at work... lucky boys. I actually shouldnt say that... Fred was up for an hour last night hosing things off so the worst of it wouldnt be everywhere... we just scrubbed the YOLK that was left. EWWWW.

back from shopping, I got her 2 big bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 wash clothes, a pack of the flat hangers she wanted, her 3 sets of dishtowels and the big set of cleaning cloths... grand total, $75. but paid $61..(I learned about coupons from M.I.L.) LMAO Took advantage of free gift wrapping.... and my neighbor had 3 terrific coupons.... I had them wrap the bathtowels and hangers separate from the kitchen items...
