Good Morning Ladies! Today is the day! My bubba graduates from HS!! I am nervous, stressed and sad. *sigh* He is all grown up.

Whew, Tina. I can't believe they are doing it outdoors. Mine was in the Opry House in Nashville. It was super nice! Great acoustics, great lighting, and AC! I had 536 in my graduating class...talk about a long wait!
Two months later, I won tickets to see Tanya Tucker and Martina McBride there. I thought it was cool to have walked on that stage...

Wow; that's quite a place to have a graduation...the Grand 'Ol Opry; mine was in our football stadium also, but a night;
450 sounds small (I know it's not though); my grad class was something like 715 and my niece's 8TH GRADE class was 803
I had a tummy ache all day today, spent most of it in bed

Good Morning Ladies! Bare with me as I tell you a story you simply WONT believe.
Graduation was beautiful... we got in on the shady side and so didnt fry. *thank god* Got some great pictures which i will share later.
Had some people come by the house (including the family members I mentioned before) and many of the boys zach hangs out with as they decided to hit Barona Casino vs Grad night.
Well... we get the relatives on their way - the boys are showing up in droves... and my girls have some girls show up for a sleepover. When low and behold we hear the dog Bailey let out a YELP from the back yard. Tia runs to the back door... opens it... in runs Bailey... FRESHLY SKUNKED!!!!! OMG. I do the diving tackle as he starts to tear thru the house... keep him on the hardwood not the carpet manage to pick him up... as he is rubbing his face all over my chest... get him to the garage... where he proceeds to run around rubbing all over the carpet out there...
Needless to say - a million baths... cleaning until after midnight, and I STILL STINK and the dog is in the garage.
WHAT a freaking night. Good thing I am off today! Fred went to work but will be getting off as quickly as someone shows up... as the dog has to go to the vet (skunk scratched the CRAP out of his face) we need to pull the carpet out of the garage... clean the floor -install NEW carpet... and pray I can get the stink off my hands and chest.
Can anyone beat THAT for a grad tale?
LA, it took about 2 days, but we cut it off during the night.... we would let it run until about midnight and then Mike would cut it back on at 5 am.
House is coming together!!! So glad for you.
Mike is getting a trailer hitch installed on my Durango... so we can pull the trailer when we do boils!!
Well I guess that means your pool is delivered, Leighann??? I can just see those little ones looking at it in bathing suits LOL

Back at work...our system came up 10 mins after we left but then I heard it went down again an our later....right now I'm working..but only bare bones...I can't do all I need to on bare bones :( frustrating....

Bathe in ketchup and salt... the salt will work the ketchup into your pores and cut the smell..

Leigh Ann, it took us about 3 days. But, it was cold out, and the guys told us to fill it only so much each day, to let the liner stretch. So, you will probably only need 2 days.
Dang it, Tina, what luck with the skunk! Do y'all have lots of them out there, or what? I recall that you are the second person to be victimized, just on our blog...gross! I can't even stand to drive over one squished in the road. That smell comes up into the car for a brief second, but that is more than enough for me...
Fortunately Stephanie, this is our first encounter up close and personal. Normally we just smell them from afar. We have a nice park behind us... but no canyon... its odd since MiraMesa is so densly populated one would think the wildlife would hightail it and run... but NOOOOOOO... damn it anyway.
Never heard of Ketchup and salt; I was gonna say bathe in tomato juice (that's what you usually wash dogs in to get the smell out of, so not sure if it's the same for humans)
So that everyone knows... TOMATOE JUICE and VINEGAR do NOT work... old wives tale... it simply "masks" the smell. There is some peroxide bakingsoda liquid soap mixture... but can i tell you... it helps, but in NO WAY de-stinkifies the dog. WHEW. Gonna give him another bath in the crap later this morning... ewwww!

I am going to Petco at 9 to get the skunk off stuff... Im tired... my nose has simply shut down... my hands stink... and ... I WANT A STARBUCKS!!! hahaha. I am afraid to get in the shower and wash my hair cuz my hands stink so bad... LOL

Oh Tina...I can't even imagine going through that!! My co worker 2 years ago went through it...only she has a doggy door and the skunk came through it and made himeself at home until the dogs scared it...it sprayed and the they couldn't get it out of the house...OMG!! Had to call animal control....

I started with the tomatoe soup,juice,paste last night with the dog... and then a google search indicated that was NOT gonna help... hence the trip to the store for peroxide,etc etc. Have fun having lunch with hubby! I think mine will be avoiding me like the plague for days! hahahaha. (hes on his way home to help me tear the carpet out of the garage. )
OMG BRENDA!! I cannot imagine having a skunk DIRECTLY spray inside the house!!! Its bad enuff when the dog shakes the oily stuff off on the floor!!! OMG!!!

We are back from vet. $243.50 later... pain meds, antibiodics, eye wash, medication for his nose, etc etc. Poor little dog... the skunk was TWICE his size. LOL. Now... to try this SKUNK OFF the vet sold me fro 15.00. crap better work at 2.00 an oz!! ha

Oh Tina....that's alot vet money for a skunk encounter...but sweet Bailey is soooo little ....he's actually very lucky...I was relaying your events to my co worker who had her experience and she said that if the little ones get sprayed in the face...it can be dangerous to their little bodies!!!

Yes - the vet said to really watch him with the injury on his little nose. Since a skunk's spray is filled with bacteria we have to clean that... irrigate his eyes... use eyedrops... etc etc etc. He has pain pills... poor little thing. and he STILL has to stay in the back yard till he doesnt stink as much.

Its very sad... I went out and sat with him for a bit... then pissed him off by washing out his eyes. Next is eye drops... but that will have to wait a bit. Poor little thing.

Eye drops were WAY easier than the eye wash. Poor little Bailey. Just put the finishing touches on the graduation slide show... ahh... now... if fred would just get back from homedepot with the new carpet for the garage... *sigh*

Hey Kathi... it might... but bleached is better than stinky! hahaha. The vet weighed him in at 12 lbs. So LARGE for a Yorkie... but still small when compared to a SKUNK. :)

Hi LeighAnn!!! Sounds like you had a tough day too! Well, you will all be glad to know I have beautiful NEW carpet on the floor of my garage. I expected grey indoor/outdoor kind... but no... it looks GREAT!!! It looks like "Faux Berber"! hehehe. To imagine... someday we will be parking on it again.
Well another day or two and the skunk stench will be completely gone. It will be funny to watch people's reaction when I drag my stinky ass in to the office tomorrow... maybe they will send me home. HA.

Mary's brother went in for a prostrate removal due to early cancer...he's now on a ventilator..why..don't know what happened...he was fine after surgery then couldn't breathe
Kathleen's husband went in for surgery to remove some gallstones in his bile duct..he was fine after surgery...then couldn't breathe...turns out ...fluid overload..pulmonary edema...
Kelly...she's in the hospital due to passing out..multiple times...they think her cancer is back but can't find it...

They say bad shit always happens in 3s; guess it's true....I will definitely pray for everyone; keep us posted on them..... my email kkbroncfan@yahoo.com (or kathi.kamholz@sbcglobal.net..either one I get); about Kelly, they shouldn't just concentrate on a recurrance; if they're good doctors, they'll examine her head to toe...
There's two reasons I look forward to the summers; one is obvious..cuz it's SUMMER; and the other is that "America's Got Talent" comes back on (some of them are pretty bad this year...but there was one of the cutest little girls - only four years old - who sang somewhere over the rainbow and made it to the next round...she was really pretty good for a 4 yo).

To catch everyon up:
The pool wasn't installed because the guy said he couldn't make it past the crew putting in the play structure, but they (the crew) said it was because it would take longer than 2 hours and they didn't want to start it so late in the day. I was so pissed, of course Paul was just too nice...I was working out.
So, they are here now and have hit a pocket of water and now need gravel...$400.00 worth...maybe they will be back today to finish it off...who the hell knows!
We did so much yesterday though in anticipation of the pool and playground the garage is almost done - about 15 more boxes and that is it!
Geez, I am stressed!
Girl, I will have to mail you some liquor next time!! LOL

Marci, it's called "lazy eye"; you'll probably just have to do some exercises to strengthen it up..lazy eye just means that it's not tracking the light he shines in it as well as the other one; to strengthen it up, you just have to cover up the good eye with something and have her track with the "bad" eye....

Kathi...the 3 in my prayer request are for friends (like family) Yes, Kelly is going through the works...Steve's mom and her husband live on Kelly's property in Colorado...they had just moved onto the property this winter so were well into doing alot of work there when she started these passing out episodes...we'll see...

I had to go through "eye therapy" myself, Marci; except I had strabismis (sp?), which is crossed eyes, when I was born. My eyes have ALWAYS worked independently of each other (I'm picturing a camillion with those big 'ol eyes going in opposite directions.....LOL); working independently of each other means that I only look out of one at a time
Kathi...I can't even imagine how that would work...looking out of each eye one at a time...don't you feel like patching one???
good grief...now I'll add my husband to the list of prayers too...he's on his way to Balboa from his doc at Miramar for a CT of his kidney and spleen....he's been having trouble in that area and the doc ruled out what she could in the office and blood work...
Steve is home now from the CT...now he'll just wait the results...my SIL has him on some prayer lists :)

Still waiting for the rock, yes, still must have it because of like this pocket of water that...decided it must be needed if they required us to sign a waiver to continue the installation this morning!
Paul and I ran errands:
Took honda to the shop for tires and brake work
Had batteries put in two watches
Bought storage containers for pool stuff
Bought umbrella lights
Bought a few groceries
Bought toys to keep the little quiet...
Had lunch and a margarita and a nap - didn't sleep hardly at all last night because Mackenzie got into bed with us around 3...dozed off around 6 and they were here at 7.
Feel great now, I am heading to the YMCA when Paul gets back from getting Rayna from soccer camp and then I am going to kick some ass in the garage...lol!

Thanks Tina...right now Steve is lying down...that is scary!!!!! He said he was up last night in pain...front and back on left side....I didn't know this :( Maybe he needs to poop LOL....or lay an egg (stone) (trying to make like of this) I told him when I had my appendix problems my pain was on the left..classic is on the right where the appendix is...I had no positive labs or fever or rebound pain...when they were taking my appendix out ..it ruptured....I told him to mention this to his doc when she calls today

I just got off the phone with the manager at the pool place...they will be paying the four hundred for the gravel and we don't have to pay the leveling fee of one hundred either.
I told him, "I have cancelled my payment (for the pool and the clubhouse) and I will pay you when my pool is installed and the clubhouse is finished...we tried it your way and it didn't work, now we are going to try it mine!"

Good idea, Marci; that's what I always do also; get a second pair JUST IN CASE; but not sure Medical will pick up a second pair...I go tomorrow to get my eyes checked/possibly get new glasses - dpends if my perscription's changed in the last couple of years; and I feel like a slight change has taken place, but nothing major; I did get the "script record" from my old optometrist, so this guy tomorrow has something to go by...

I guess everyone has seen on MSN about the "Supermom" of 1-year-old sextuplets running a marathon. Just goes to show, no matter what you do, there is always someone out there, doing more...the marathon is such a psychological thing. I am shy about trying. But heck, even if I had to walk some of it, I still walk faster than most people, so maybe I could finish before they packed up the finish line? What do you all think? I was just going to do another half this fall or next spring, but hmmm...
