Yes... another week! Got the girls dresses and shoes and jewlery for the 8th grade dance. Also got the Prom pictures posted. Or at least some. Hope you all have a great week! Goodnight Ladies!

we got a round pool, 18 foot across and 4 foot deep... we want to see if we can keep up with the chemicals.... it will last at least 2 years... it's a good size...
for now... it was $400 at Wal Mart... the round pool and it's got the pvc piping around it... not the round blow up.. the grade up...
the one like JOhn Mark's was about $3500 installed... couldn't swing right now with Medical bills... so we did this....

I'm here; just been kind of sleeping and "recuperating" from the weekend all day today; but have to get up bright and early tomorrow since I have an appt. with the Pulmonologist. How's Madi's ears, Marci?
They are much better Kathi, thanks. I am still doing the drops.. and I am thinking about taking her and Gabrielle to the ENT and get the molded ear plugs for when they swim and bath.... don't want to go thru this again! :(

WTG Marci on getting serious :) I, too, have been slacking in every way :( I was sooo very bummed to see that my produce went bad quick in the fridge...I don't get it..I used to be able to hold produce in the drawer for a week before it went bad...Now it's like 2 days and it's bad :( So...last night I had to make due with what I had left...Instead of great salads...I was left with oddities ...cabbage, carrots and cucumbers, snow peas for salads...oh well....I bet I'll be the only one eating it too LOL
I'm sooo new in the BBQ arena...I couldn't get the propane grill to work ..so I struggled with the green egg grill (which takes practice) and was able to cook top round steaks and sweet corn on the cobb...turned out pretty good...although the steaks were cooked more than I prefer (but perfect for Steve's tastes)
Brenda, my veggies and fruits go bad quick as well.... I think it is how long on the shelf prior to buying....
I can never do the propane grill either.... is the green egg grill like the George Foreman??? I know the G. Foreman is pretty easy...
I like to steam in my rice cooker as well...

I prefer the propane when I don't have alot of time...but the ignitor or the propane is out :( I actually had a 2 hour window yesterday where I was home...and the Big Green Egg is more a leisure grilling experience as you enjoy cocktails...but had to do it...it is the most awesome grill...has some sort of charcoal and lighting squares you put in...then you vent the top and bottom to obtain desired heating..then cook...it's like and outdoor oven with charcoal...IF you know how to use it well LOL...Steve is getting pretty good at it...his brother...is AMAZING!! Mmmmm..dammit, I'm hungry!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I was reading up on today...and you guys made me hungry so I had to go heat up my lunch. Homemade chicken enchiladas. mmmm mmmm. They are zach's favorite and i promised them for his bday...but they are way too much work for a workday...so... sunday was the day. I made 2 full trays - which is why there are still some left. HA.

Pulmonologist was AWESOME. Don't have to go back for another three months.. She asked me "What can I do to make you quit smoking?" I ALMOST said, "cash would be nice"... I bit my tongue though... I am cutting way back though, so she was pleased with that (and so are my lungs)
I didn't know it till I was on the bus on the way home, but Arnie (our governor) was at the transit center at Fashion Valley today; have to watch the news later to see why

Feeling grumpy today:
1. Woke up with a sore throat and stuffy head.
2. 1 & 1/2 bedrooms left to paint.
3. Am stressed about getting a pool vs. not getting a pool. Long story!
4. Still lots of boxes in the garage.
5. My wonderful patio set that I ordered from Walmart wouldn't be here until July so we cancelled it.
BUT PAUL GOT HIRED TODAY AT LAVERGNE ELEMENTARY WORKING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS...THIS MEANS THE FAMILY WILL BE ALL SET WHEN I AM GONE DURING THE WEEK:D
LOL about the veggies and the enchilidas...all sounds great. The water, well like Marci said...was water.
Hey ladies... ok... so we had to buy a new dishwasher cuz mine took a shit yesterday. While we were at home depot I decided i wanted a Freezer and fred bought it for me for the garage. Now I can have icecream and frozen pizza's and more icecream and buy meat in bulk and freeze and MORE ice cream. Yes... im a happy freezer owner. (oh... and i get freds spoiler installed TOMORROW cuz the guy is out the rest of the week...)

OK, so far this week I have spent probably $700 on groceries... I'm done... I have about 12 packs of chicken in the freezer, shrimp, tipalia fillets, lean pockets, frozen veggies.... etc.....

and it's no one of those girley F.U.N. parties.. all though I wish it was!!!!! :) I"m bad....

Tina, I LOVE my big freezer, and I also have a chest freezer under my carport for ice, and freezie pops for the kids.... it works!!!!!
congrats on you dishwasher and freezer.... I recently got a new dishwasher and ceramic top stove that I love! my next is my stainless fridge.... my old fridge will go on the carport for drinks and parties... :)

My parents have a big freezer...they LOVE IT. In our old house, they had a chest freezer also. The only thing wrong with having a big freezer is my mom ALWAYS buys too much food for just two people (but it's also a good thing, cuz when I don't have money, I can grocery shop at their house :D)

Hey all...WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I must see the pics..sorry Tina about the dishwasher...I now tell folks always buy the most top brand of dishwasher...mine is on the lowest end :( and that's why it doesn't wash the disher and it's falling apart...it's a piece of (#&%^ my husband got all new appliances when we did our kitchen but we now know...the stove can be low end but not the dishwasher LOL...Great on all your freezer...WHAT A DREAM!!!!!!

Morning Ladies! The spoiler on Freds CRV was a BIG hit! We all went out to dinner to celebrate Jenna and Tia's graduating (next week) the 8th grade and we didnt hit a single red light!! (in Mira Mesa, thats amazing...) and he insists (hehe) that the reason is the extra aerodynamics of the added spoiler! ahahahahaha. It was much fun!!

I pick up a dark blue jean pair, a lighter blue jean pair and a white pair... they all say "instantly slimming"... OK
the dark pair is a dream... and as I look in the mirror, I think, I DO look slimmer...
I try on the white pair, can't button them.... I try on the light blue jean pair.. they don't come up over the hips...now, Mike is laughing... I tell him, Hell yeah they are instantly slimming, I have to lose 10 lbs to get into the them!!!!!

Hey Leighann!!! I didn't get a new comforter set...just new sheets and pillows and new towels...how things disappear in my house...I just don't get it!!! Our towel supply is down in our bathroom...where are they??? don't know..so had to get more...had to get more cups for the kitchen...where are they??? don't know....I would say in the girls vehicles...but they recently cleaned them out and not alot of dishes/cups came out...grrrrrr!!

Funny, funny about the capris, Marci! I always hate the way you can go from one store where you wear, say, a 3, and the next store, you wear a 7...I think there should be an industry standard. Else, how can you ever tell anyone what size to buy, for gift-giving purposes? :)
Brenda, I know exactly what you mean about housewares disappearing...I just bought a huge box of Tupperware around Christmastime, and I am down to 2 tiny bowls, and all of the tops are AWOL. So, I go in the garage, and TA-DA!!! They are all filthy and scratch up, with bolts, and such...
So now I save my plastic margarine bowls specifically for those "extra" needs, and dare anyone to use my new bowls...and I don't even want to go into hand towels and wash cloths...
I'm like Brenda,usually I clean the cars out and restock the shelves! LOL
I'm bad as well, leaving with a glass and it stays in my vehicle.... :(

I DID IT!!! Just got back from the store a little while ago; FEET ARE KILLING ME THOUGH and had to take out my orthodics because of it; going to call the podiatrist and see if i can get in sooner than next month.
Today would have been my aunt and uncle's (the ones in Apple Valley..uncle's gone though) 57th Wedding Anniversary. Uncle Dick (one of my mom's brothers; in total she had five of them; two are left, and two sisters) was one of the people that died in 2003
Evening Ladies! Wow it was a BUSY day. I am having trouble sleeping lately... so much to do that if i even let the thought cross my mind once Im in bed... *poof!* There goes any chance of sleep. LOL. I must drink more wine prior to climbing in bed, i think. LOL.
I fell off the roof... so not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow.
And... zach got his cap and gown today... i feel OLD, BLOATED, AND STRESSED... HAHAHAHA. Oh... and I got the picture of Fred's spoiler up on my blog if you are interested!

wow looks like everyone is having a busy week! I am like Steph i needed morehours at work still trying to catch up from malawi but now that they are working me everyday I am tired and busy yesterday was my first day off since the girls recital! and it was packed with errands and then taking the kids swimming after I workedout at the Y!! next week I teach VBS everyday and work every night til midnight!! I am walking the hospital floor extra times at night to getin some cardio!!

Went for a bike ride yesterday with my brother...the air in my tires were down again...makes for a terribly hard ride :( Today we'll ride again...I have max air now LOL...he's going to take me off the bike path onto the trail down by the water along the lake..I'M SCARED OF RATTLESNAKES!!!
Ben said he'll ride in front of me...gosh I hope he doesn't get bit by one...he was bit many years ago and he said he still has phantom pains in his shin about once a month and the pain is terrible!! so sad!!!
OMG... snake bites, phantom pains!! I would mess up another pair of pants if I saw a rattlesnake.. add to my laundry pile!

you won't believe it...but soon, I'll have pictures to go with the story...My SIL son...who turns 30 tomorrow was out in the desert by a creek near his home in AZ hitting golf balls...when out of the blue...he gets attacked by a LEOPARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess someone has one, possibly illegally out there...and him and the leopard fought until TJ won...he's used to wrestling with his pitbulls...and he figured this big cat was 160 pounds...he said it's a leopard because of the spots
he's ok...2 black eyes and his body is all scratched up with claw marks...this happened 4 days ago and he didn't tell his mom because she would have gone nuts...especially since he's been suffering for 2 years after being bit by a brown recluse...he did report it to the animal authorities who are looking for it...WOW WEE...what an absolute trip!!!
Valerie, my SIL is now in Arizona..she flew there from Georgia...she went for his birthday and that's how she found out he had been hurt :(

No, I am taking it easy this weekend. I worked hard all week, and last. Hoping to do something fun, or at least sit and stare...Just got back from purchasing John's Father's Day gift, and took him for Mexican (not his father's day dinner!!) And right when we pull into the parking lot, Ansley gets choked on a french fry, and projectile vomits all over herself and her car seat! I barely got her out in time, before she drenched my cloth seats! Gross! So, I scooped her up (once I was sure no more was coming out, and she had a clear airway!) and ran into the restaurant, cleaned her up as best I could (the shirt was a total loss, so she was naked from the waist up) and bought her a "VIVA CINCO DE MAYO" tee-shirt! All's well that ends well...but it's a rude reminder how tiring it is to have a toddler in tow!
I think I am going to work on my patio now...have a great weekend, ladies!

Girls, to catch everyone up on this story...I accidentally left a whole chicken in my trunk after a trip to the grocery store...on one of the hottest days so far this year! So, my car smelled like a dead body for about a week.
