Kathi, Ansley was a month early and had premature lungs, and she had small brain bleed from birth trauma. She was only in NICU for 6 days, plus 1 day in the stepdown unit, but it was enough for me to be REALLLLLY watchful over her especially the first few months. She is great now; the bleed resolved completely by her 2-week follow-up and her lungs are doing great. She is smart...she is 2 and already knows her colors and can count to 5! I am glad her brain is okay. Man, that was scary stuff.

It's soooooooo very hot here!! 96 in the shade right now....luckily the back yard will be shaded this evening...we get the sun out front in the evening.
Yeah, wow; that can be scary..glad everything's great now.. wow, she knows her colors and can count? that's amazing (is that unusual for a two year old to know all this?). I don't ever remember my nieces and nephew knowing colors or counting at that age
OH I KNOW, BRENDA; I had to turn on my a/c again (usually I just have the fan on full blast and windows/doors open); I'll be gettin ready for P&L in about an hour :D; I CAN'T WAIT; Is there a cake? I thought about that last night

Leigh Ann, I forgot to say that I ran 15 miles last week. Only 3 five-mile runs. Maintenance mode...
Ah, Kathi, cake...evil, tempting cake! Woooo, too much sugar for me. It actually gives me the shivers thinking about cake. I love the cake itself, with no icing. I scrape it off, or cut a sliver before I ice if I make the cake! Another trick to weight maintenance, shaving calories here and there during the day. Bread is definitely my weakness. I love it all! It's so hard to turn down a biscotti or croissant with my Americano at Starbucks! Hmmm, I am hungry!

You guys should have seen how Tina and Brenda decorated - it was a play off of our crawfish boil! It was a riot - thanks Brenda for hosting and I hope you made it this am - we stayed too long.

crawfish decor...hilarious! They had a huge crawfish boil in Nashville last night and I thought about you, and a huge stadium of folks sucking bug heads (that was for you, Tina!) This is said with nothing but love, of course!!! I am sure they are delicious!

Leigh Ann, I think I left my jacket (bright yellow) in the van; although I don't remember seeing it when I got my purse out of it when Kristy brought us home last night/this morning

Yeah, I'm fine; just tired.. so I'll be resting today, cuz I'm catching an early bus tomorrow to go to PT (unless I can get my ihss worker to take me); MAN, is that cake RICH; I just had some a little while ago.. the girls'll love it... glad my jacket was in there

hello all :) thank you for the nice things you said !!! I woke up tired for about 20 mins...then wide awake !! The walk was most excellent!! My Tshirt was wet the whole time from sweating but it felt sooo very good...the walk was 4 miles...but then we must have walked another 2 by the time we ended up lunching at Seaport Village...Have great photos to share on my blog...maybe by Tuesday :)
Last night so so so so FUN...too fun to think about why we were there ...I tuned out my emotions when good byes were going on...BTW...my husband and Dominique (my youngest's boyfriend) were not doing too well when they got up...Steve probably felt worse than everyone together LOL...hope he's feeling better...we are leaving in a few minutes to meet up at some folks house for dinner

Hi all...just came in from the pool, Paul grilled steaks and veggies. Now the big girls are getting ready to go to the mall.
The little ones are in the shower.
We went to Ikea today and bought the cutest stuff for Rayna's new room - she will have the upstairs bonus room and we are putting a little seating area around the fireplace. Tori will share it with her when she comes home.
We also found Dailen a cute bed - then we came home and took a nice nap before the pool.
Great weekend...fixing to watch a movie:)
Oh, you guys didn't go to the zoo?
I slept most of the day to recover from last night (and b/c it was SO INCREDIBLY HOT - I still have the fan on full blast; the doors/window are open)

The Padres..... I love baseball!!! but I love the Braves!!! Mike and I went to see them at Turner Stadium... loved it!

Steph and Marci, I don't think they have a jeep; they took the van to the Chrysler/Jeep dealership to get checked; the van is a chrysler, and here, the dealership carries both chryslers and jeeps
