I'm watching an awesome program on PBS; it's called "Carrier", and it's about life onboard the USS Nimitz...thought you might be interested, LA; second hour just started tonight; but I think it goes on until the first part of May

It is so hot the cleavage I DONT have is sweating. LOL And of course today is the day I INSIST on doing 30 minutes on the eliptical. WHEW. Thank god I can set the fan right in front of it. :o)

I am having some major sibling issues over Me, Mike and KK deciding for KK to keep Mylee... a few of my siblings are not in agreeance.... it is not their decision and it is pissing them off that little sister is standing her ground and telling them to kiss her a**.....
even if KK gave Mylee up for adoption, hello, Mike and would have adopted her...
I couldn't wonder where my grandchild was... and although adoption is a completely wonderful thing IE Crystal and Family... it was not right for me and my family....

Marci, I think it is wonderful that you are standing by your daughter and helping her with one of the hardest times in her life. Seems like a no-brainer, I know, but some moms don't...she won't forget it.
Marci, I didn't mean not to be supportive; I'm sorry. I was just letting know, not that you probably don't already know, what's out there. You're right; it's not your siblings' decision what to do with YOUR daughter's child. Like Leigh Ann said, don't let them get you down

Katelynne absolutely adores her and would never.. her PPD is under control, she's really never showed any signs... we started the meds way before the baby was born...

Hi guys,
Please pray for Taylor Ullmann - she is a friend of Casey's - she is at Childrens hospital right now with a lump on her neck.
This lump has been coming and going for about 1 year and the doctors can not determine what it is. It has been about the size of a golf ball. She woke up last night in severe pain and the lump is now much larger. I don't know what test they have run before now, but I do know the doctors have said they can not remove it because of the location, it is surrounded by blood vessels.

Good for you, Marci, for not letting your sibs get to you. And I'm sorry for not being supportive yesterday; I'm glad KK's ppd is well under control; my temp is back to normal again, but right now, I don't even have to energy to stand in the shower :(

I don't know if Kaiser has those; but there is a transportation company that can pick me up (because I'm disabled), but I never did "register" with them...guess I should now that I'm having so many medical appointments...DUH;
Went to the doctor; nothing serious, just bronchitis again, which means another course of prednisone and antibiotics.. it hasn't been "officially" diagnosed, but I think I have COPD; guess I'll find out for sure on the 9th when I go to the Pulmonologist. I'll keep ya'll posted

Hi all, three more weeks of class, Marci.
Tomorrow, I defend my portfolio and my research paper - thats a 30 minute presentation in front of a board and then questions from them for another 10 minutes.
I turn in my research paper along with the presentation.
Then I have a reflection paper due on Friday.
Two more paper and two more presentations due the 8th and 15the and then I AM DONE!!!
Hey Brenda...it has been a quiet day on the blog. I feel about 80%...still a little stiff when walking. I am telling you, I used every single muscle in my legs. Even my hamstrings and glutes are sore. It's like the soreness is working its way from the bones, outward. I have been taking it easy, and doing hot baths, but I can't stand it; I will exercise tomorrow.

I have had to go before a lot of boards for the military and I have done lots of presentations for the military and civiian...but this is the culmulation of two years of work...
I was going to wear my Summr Whites (uniform) - I still can't get them buttoned. I am just crying...it so sucks.

Hi again. Just got back from my parents' for dinner. I took the bus to the doctor (BARELY made it though) didn't have the energy at all; had to stop three times to catch my breath; anyway, he wanted chest xrays and the Kaiser in RB doesn't have xray facilities, so mom took off work, drove me to escondido and then back down to RB to have them read; sufice it to say i'm exhausted now
I'm on the antibiotic Zithromax (MAJOR antibiotic, for those who don't know what that is); so I should be good to go by the weekend. It feels like my stomach is eating itself though..ugh, it hurts
well shit...you just confused me.. LOL

Do the Hollywood Diet prior... it strips the fluid... you could lose about 5 lbs in 2 days... that's all you would need...

Kathi, zithromax is great... b/c you only have to take it once a day for how ever many days.. it will knock your sickness out...

Marci...My yard is coming along nicely...it's amazing what transpires as the weeds go away and the trimming is done LOL ...I'll continue after work for the next 3 days because we're doing the dump run Friday...Since it costs alot to go to the dump, I have to do it all, to make the trip worth it...This is my exercise for the week!!!
Wow, it costs a lot to go to the dump? Bad for the patrons, I guess, but great incentive to not go so much. I think they should do that everywhere. And everyone should recycle! I have begun to do aluminum cans and plastics. I did it many years ago but it sort of took the back burner and was forgotten...I hope to get us on a tight system soon! You can dump whatever you want, how often you want here, no charge. Disgusting!
Yes Steph ..I agree..I'm more of a recycler than Steve is...It costs even more money to take furniture/appliance stuff to the dump...I have a link on my blog that is for places all over the country where people can post stuff (junk to you...treasure for someone else) and it's free stuff..it helps keep things out of the dump...generally they are for things the thrift stores won't take....I got a really HUGE work bench and bamboo, free..although, I got those from Craigslist....FUN...also people don't know...the clippings I will bring to the dump are then made into mulch and we can go get mulch at the dump for FREE :)

Yesterday I should have had my bro take a pic of me...LOL...I was hanging onto a very tall yucca plant to trim it...the plant got too tall for me (I usually feep them sized for maintenance)...my garden is on a hill and I couldn't reach this plant by standing on the trail LOL it was pretty funny...today I have another tall one to cling to...LOL

I had a major melt down after class tonight...the more I think I about it, the more pissed I become. Just wished I wouldn't have cried in front of people - I hate when I do that. I told Paul what happened and now he is pissed. LOL...Oh well, my second class was cancelled and we are fixin to watch survivor.
Shit, him again...you know Steph we talked about "man vanity" and now I get to deal with him and his blog...LOL. I am glad he enjoys it, he better start logging his ass out, though!

Two girls in my group pissed me off because they can't make a decision and then when I called them on it, I got upset like a dumb ass...Professor got involved -I had issues with him as well. Ya know, I probably should have just stayed home tonight.

I am so sorry about class. It's just the stress. I am sure everyone is feeling it, too. When you said, "I wish I hadn't cried in front of people...", my face got hot. I know exactly how that feels. I deteriorate into a big sobbing ball of snot when I get pissed. Outside, tears. Inside, rip-your-head-off rage! :)

Yes, the Devo remix is very cool! You would probably think I am schizo- if you heard all the stuff on my ipod, Devo, Mozart, Brahms, Little Kim, Britney Spears, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Incubus, Train, Duran Duran (think View to a Kill soundtrack...James Bond!) I love all kinds, as long as it moves! :)

If that doesn't do it, in your post delete the part it highlights and then see if it will work - that has worked for me.
When you save your code be sure to save it for blogger and not my space.

Marci, the cold is gone; but I'm still on the antibiotics, prednisone and the inhalation solution; I've still got the bronchitis (always will); but I'm feeling better every day.
my last day of antibiotics is tomorrow; boy, that zithromax is AWESOME; but I know they don't use it very often b/c it is so good
No, you can't take the same antibiotic everytime b/c your body will get immune to it.... I think that's how it goes....

we are having a seafood boil party tonight!!! I can't wait.... true coonass girl... I love my boiled seafood... :)

OMG Marci......your comment...true coonass girl.......that is one of the funniest things I have heard yet in my 46 years of life!!!! thank you thank you thank you...can I see a pic of what your seafood boil party is like??? One night my daughter and her boyfriend gave Steve and I a crab and shrimp boil in our family room...they laid newspaper on the table and dumped the seafood on the table and told us to dig in...I just about died LMAO...BUT I'm sure you have a real southern style to your boil :) My Dana learned all her fishing and hunting ways from my ex...too funny!
OH yes honey.... newspaper and trays at my house... and I don't like the claw crackers... I use butter knives!!!

Could someone please give me a brief list of carbohydrates? My doc emailed me this morning and he said that I have to watch my carbs and sugar intake very carefully this weekend because of my blood sugar being haywire on prednisone. Twice yesterday it was a little higher than he'd like.

Oh gosh, Kathi. Any pasta, most bread or concentrated sugar, of course, are all no-nos. Think maintenance phase of Atkins. Watch your soda intake, too. You can use diet soda, though, if you would like! It depends on what you have in the house...if you haven't been shopping to watch carbs, chances are you have very little in the house, in the way of low carb stuff. I think you can pretty much have any meat, but I would stick to the lean stuff if you can...chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, and cheese are all okay. I LOVE egg white omelettes with a little sharp cheddar cheese mixed in! Potatoes are also bad about spiking your sugars, so watch 'em.
