Anonymous said...

Good Morning to you all too!! Crystal, you can't get sick!!!! You've had you share of sickness :(

I didn't sleep too good due to those darn santana winds!!! They woke me up at 2:20am UGH!!! I was worried about the neighbor's trees falling into our yard...I could hear the creaking of the big branches...all is good though after getting up this AM... :D

Have a nice day!

Leigh Ann said...

I know driving the kids to school through Scripps there was a lot of debris - glad that tree didn't fall.
Crystal,
Hope your not getting sick!

Tina-Yes, we know her (unfortunately). I think that's why the crap has really gotten to me. She was spewing about everything but was personalizing it with both my kid and my hubby as well. She belongs to a nice kid (Hayley S) and nice guy (Len S). I need to let it go, it's making me mad again.

Maybe that's good. I'm going running. Maybe I'll do punching moves a la Rocky! That is if I don't blow over. It's still extremely windy right now. Everyone's taking a bet here at work for when my headache will hit. I even went for a pre-emptive caffiene stike at Starbucks.

Angela (aka Mary Poppins) :o)

Leigh Ann said...

Ugh, people like that stink. Do they have an older daughter, too? Cause I recognize them, but not through Rayna - if that makes any sense. No headache!!!

Angela... i thought it was Cammy. I dont think i know Hayley.

Hahahaha.

hi everyone..i've been really feeling the ickies, so that's why i haven't been on lately. but i did weigh in (emailed la) this morning...i gained three pounds since thursday (blame it on pizza and cheese sticks this weekend and the fact that i'm getting close to falling off the roof); not doing good on the not smoking either :(; BUT I WILL SURVIVE, as the song says...

Anonymous said...

Hi all ...hang in there Kathi..things do have a way of working out when they remain in the front of our priority lists...you'll get back on track :)

I went to the gym after work and burned calories :)

Oh no! I just lost the only working remote/car alarm for the Tahoe! Luckily I didn't get stranded in a shopping mall (I was doing karate taxi duty). I now have a SUV parked in my driveway that I'm probably going to have to tow somewhere and get a new electrical alarm system put in & old one out. I just have a terrible feeling it's not going to be cheep! Well, maybe if I can go without it long enough, the money I'll save on gas can pay for it! Ack!

Tina - the stands were full of them! 4 girls turned away from our team and parents not happy about it. LA- they do have an older daughter possibly Tori's age. I think her name is Kayla. There were her crabby buddies there also and they have a daughter about Tori's age - her name is Michelle G. My jog/walk at lunch put me past it. Let them be ugly haters. I refuse to let the negativity get to me anymore.

I'm going to go search on google to prepare myself for sticker shock!

Angela :o)

good for you, marci, in not letting the uglies get to you

Kathi,
Hope you feel better and fall off the roof soon:(
Marci,
Let me know how it goes today...I go in a couple of weeks and am looking for any suggestions that might help.
Brenda,
Great job on the working out!

Anonymous said...

My doctor gave me Effexor XR, starting on 37.5 the first week and 75mg after that. She says it works the best and also gives you focus like some of the ADHD meds but not the stress to your heart.
gave me samples for 4 weeks to try... I'll let you know...

Marci...glad your Katelynn got the pkg and I'm thinking about you and your new journey too :) Why do women seem to get the rocky trails in life???? Doesn't make sense to me. And we always seem to get beyond those humps...but it sure is hard :)

To all of us women...we do move on stronger, don't we :)

I think I'm going to do a 10 mile ride at the lake today...for the variety and for the sun on my face and smells of our desert shrubs :D that always makes me smile!!

i'm just so excited for words about you, crystal..

was supposed to be getting ready to take the bus up to karate right now, but since i'm still coughing a lot, think i'm gonna take another week to get well; although i'm not coughing as much now (mainly cuz i don't have the cat visiting as much)

Tina...glad you're feeling better with the migraine :)

Crystal...hope you get some rest!!

Anonymous said...

Hello Ladies,

Checking in. First - Crystal, congratulations to you and your family. May time fly!

2nd -Tina, I feel your pain woman! Glad you are able to come out of the cave! Kathi, you'll get there soon - take good care.

I just got back from freezing my a#! off at a ball field. The kid batted in the winning runs. The girls have nick-named the new boo-coo bucks bat 'steroid bat'.

You guys will think this is real funny. Monday night I was a total coward! I drafted another sucker to slip by the Brownies hocking cookies in front of the grocery store. I totally hid from them becasue I didn't think I'd say no. Today before the kids game, I actually drove out of my way over to the grocery store where they've been camped out to buy a box of Thin Mints to scarf for my dinner BEFORE I got to the ball field. And those little cookie machines WEREN'T THERE! Can you believe that!!! I purposely went in search of them and couldn't find cookies. I took that as a sign and gave up.

Have a great night!
Angela :o)

Stephanie said...

Angela, that is crazy. Definitely a sign from above...no Brownies with thin mints. Although, around here, if the Brownies decamped, you would just have to drive to the next retail establishment to find another table set up, fully stocked.

Leigh Ann, that is incredible about the VP. I think mis-id is a problem across the board, though. I hear about it a lot on forums. Share more...

Leigh Ann said...

Angela,
LOL - too funny about the cookies and congrats on the game!
Steph & Brenda,
Yes, you would think that problem would have been solved.
Today I will do some homework and work out and then school tonight. I am looking forward to this weekend...

Anonymous said...

Angela and Steph...funny about the cookies!!! the other night my oldest called her girlfriend over and the girls had wine and GIRLSCOUT cookies while doing book reviews (the girls are reading self help books to help them with the guy problems LOL) and I had 3 samoas Mmmmmmm

Leighann...another busy load for you today...I bet you're looking forward to the weekend :) almost here!!!

Leigh Ann said...

Brenda, did you tell them there are no books that can help in that department...lol...

Anonymous said...

LOL!!! No but I was in the other room and they thought I went upstairs...Allyson and Dominque joined Dana and Heidi...they talked about the stupid boys LOL (Dominique didn't fall in that category, they said) then they all move on to talk about life time movies and how much they (all of them) enjoy those movies LMAO...they cracked me up!!!!!!!!! Dana and Heifi no longer have John and Jason as boyfriends..but Dana has John as a kissing friend LOL

Leigh Ann said...

ROF...life time movies, I love it! They sound like there 80, not 20:)

Leigh Ann said...

I am off to the gym...I will check in with ya'll between classes, have a great afternoon.

Anonymous said...

Hi all... hope the week is going well for everyone. I am, once again, pissed off at my scale. *yes... its the SCALES fault*. I seem to be up 1.5 lbs again...

Sheesh.

Tina

Leigh Ann said...

Tina,
Me too, and Paul is like why do you get on it in the middle of the week? Blah, blah, blah! So, did a little extra cardio today and I am hoping that I eat well from now to ten, when I get home. I bring all of my good stuff, but sometimes, I cheat! I am going to pretend I never stepped on it this am...

Anonymous said...

LeighAnn - I totally get it. I get on every morning and it sets the tone for my day. I should JUST stop doing that.

Tina

Leigh Ann said...

YES, I am either ok or REALLY pissed off!

Anonymous said...

Hello Ladies,

I hear you guys about the scale. I've done WW for a while now and they actually discourage daily weighing in the loss phase for exactly that reason. Daily fluctuations that manifest themselves on the scale actually undermine people's confidence. But when you reach the goal weight that you want to maintain, they encourage daily weighing so that you don't get too far off track before you can do something about it. Now, I still weigh often (not daily but a couple times a week). The only real one I get concerned with is the one I do at the same time of the week.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

Angela ;o)

Okay everyone. I can't believe I just did this. I downloaded the free Marathon training program for the Rock-n-Roll Marathon. It's June 1st. I didn't think you were able to walk in it. I don't know why I thought that, but I did. It said it perfect for a beginner/novice to do. Stephanie and Crystal I guess this is linked to the one you are planning on doing. I'm going to give it some pretty serious thought the next couple of days. I need to sit down and decide if I can commit to a goal like that....

OK, now I'm getting a little nervous and I haven't even signed up yet.

Angela :o)

Leigh Ann said...

YAH! Got out of class early!

Good for you, Angela! I have never had the courage do one, what a wonderful goal for all three of you and what a link that would be for you also. Think of the war stories you guys could share with us:)

I know about the scale, but it's always looking at me:)

Marci,
Thank you so much!
All, after Tori was born I passed along some of her things to Marci, my sis in law and my sister Jeanine...low and behold me and Marci got to talking and she still had a dress of Tori's - one that I had her first professional picture taken in...so, thank you so much, again. I will save it for her.

Stephanie said...

Angela, if you can commit to the full marathon, then awesome... go for it. I know the feeling, I am both excited and TERRIFIED! That is a LOT of people to run with. And, if you are like me, when I get on the trails and come upon other people running, I HAVE to pass them. I will definitely have to get over that and pace myself. Hopefully I can fall in behind someone with a good pace and just HOLD ON, like with a semi on the interstate! I will have to save some for later...I think they said 5000 people ran in it last year.

Besides, when you train for a race, weight loss isn't a focus, it's a given. Always a good thing!

Kathi said...

Tina and Leigh Ann...don't weigh in everyday!!! It depresses and discourages me if I do that..that's why I do it once a week.

i'm gonna start walking again tomorrow (this am) since i'm feeling better..just around the complex again..start off slow since i've been off of it for a while

Kathi said...

WOO HOO!! i've FINALLY fallen off the roof..i have a cyst on one of my Os, also, and GD it hurt this time; part of the reason i was having a case of the BAD ickies this time

Anonymous said...

I lost my post.... not sure where it went.

Leigh Ann, you are welcome.
I also had given most of their baby clothes away, to Jamie Lynn, she's 6 or so months behind KK.

Angela and Steph, go girls!!!
run run run and finish that marathon!

Kathi,
thank goodness you fell of the roof, hopefully you will feel better soon.

Everyone else, have a great FRIDAY!!!!!!

Marci

Anonymous said...

Happy Friday everyone!!! Marathoners run run run!!! :) Steph, I like how you describe marathons :) Angela...sign those papers!!!

It was funny reading Tina and Leighanns posts about the scale....what do you know...last night I read about how our daily weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds , but we already knew that...the stand out as to why, for me, was the 2 cups water equals 1 pound weight.....solid waste equals ...????pounds

went bike riding yesterday...it was pretty windy on the lake and it hit me right as I started...this is going to be a hard ride and I'm only doing 1 lap (5 miles)....but I pushed on and did 2 laps...10 miles!!! In the wind it is soooo hard...but I saw other ladies doing 2 and 3 laps...they inspired me!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to the gym after work :)

Anonymous said...

GO Brenda!!! How awesome... You should be proud of yourself.

Marci

Anonymous said...

thank you Marci :)
I thought that was pretty cool about Tori's dress :D love it! I think Leighann should post a picture of it so we all can see it!

Leigh Ann said...

I may take a picture of it later so you guys can see it...I wish I could get to Tori's picture, but it is in storage...
Slept in today and it was wonderful. I am going to run some errands, have my nails, workout and do homework until the our game at 840...Paul has parents nite out...so, I will be all alone till about 7pm.

Anonymous said...

it is a precious little dress... it is light blue and with tori's gorgeous eyes it was precious...
Leigh Ann, post Tori's baby picture in it as well.
My Samantha (Tori's age).. was always so tiny she wore it until she was 2 years old, KK outgrew it way before Sam...

:)
Marci

Leigh Ann said...

I can't, the picture is in storage from when we moved into this condo...I wish I could go get it real quick, but you haven't seen that storage unit:)

Anonymous said...

OH, ok... that's understandable....
she was so precious... she had a little headband around some gorgeous loose curls.... and of course a gorgeous born on tan!!!
I remember that like yesterday...

Marci

Leigh Ann said...

Wow, your good. The dress is posted.
And, yes, she was born so dark and she had one curl on top of her head that was at least 3 inches long. I used to play with it while I fed her.

Leigh Ann said...

I have shared the story of the dress on my blog - check it out...I have got to quit crying and get some stuff done:) Tori is reading it right now...

Anonymous said...

oh wow...that is so very cool!!!! the dress is adorable :) I'll have to go to the blog and see!!! thanks for sharing those memories :D

Anonymous said...

good for you Leighann to have been able to rest this morning!!! since you're going to be alone....is this LEIGHANN FREE TIME :D If so, you know my number LOL...want to go to my favorite dive store...did I tell you about it already?

Leigh Ann said...

I wish I could lay out with ya'll!! It's so cold and wet here.... yuck.
Mike has to work tomorrow, so I will be digging thru pictures to find those for you Leigh Ann.... and also look for the one of the 3 of them together... :)

Have fun by the pool!!!!!

Marci

Anonymous said...

What's up Kathi?? How is your Friday??

Stephanie said...

Okay, you have to stop talking about laying out. We are prepped for a bad winter storm tonight...I think Southern Kentucky is going to get most of it, but they are calling for 2-4 inches in Nashville. I guess we will see. They let school out an hour early today, and it is already raining. I am sure the hoarders have already cleaned out the bread and milk at the grocery store. Dummies... :-)

I love the post about the oldster up top! 101 years old...he looks half that age! What a wonderful thing, to carry your health with you that far.

No sun for me to lay out, but I am definitely in for some pampering tomorrow. I am going to get that deep conditioning for my hair, Leigh Ann, and a facial and mani, and then sushi and shopping to stock my wine shelf. Yay! Weekend here we come!

Stephanie said...

Okay, I just looked at Buster again, and he does not look HALF of 101 (he looks completely edentulous and much closer to 80 than 50!) But wow, what keeps him going, do you think? He probably would die if he ever stops running. I am happy for him! Go Buster!!!

Leigh Ann said...

Kathi,
Tomorrow isn't a good day...we have soccer tryouts and birthday parties...I am hoping to catch a little sun before nap. I will let you know when we are going to make an afternoon of it.
Steph,
Snow stormsL:) No milk or bread at the stores, gosh - I remember that. Your weekend sounds great:)

Anonymous said...

Hey to all :) with all that bad weather everywhere...come west!!! right now we're good...just everybody come out here...between all the boggers, there's room for everyone LOL :D

Anonymous said...

Hello Ladies

Oh you guys are just so funny! Buster- now I really have to train. He did a marathon in just over 5hrs. Wow. He ran a 12min mile pace. I think that was better than my Super Run. Great - another oldie that can blow bye me. I guess if I sign up that's more running than walking for me.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone! I'm out the door by 7a to a field and won't be back before 4p.

Angela :o)

Kathi said...

Ok, Leigh Ann; that's fine.

Brenda, I wasn't feeling great earlier, but I'm a little better now that I got a nap. But now I'll probably be up all night again.

The Johnson Family said...

wow that Buster!! So I am with Steph prepapring the the "blizzard" which I would say is an inch!! it is very pretty though we are staying home and having a pajama day!!

Leigh Ann said...

Enjoy the snow, Crystal! And Angela, enjoy the games - sounds like fun.
We are starting our day with a birthday party...

Anonymous said...

good afternoon all :) hope you all are tucked in nice back east :D Spoke with some friends in Iowa..they too are buried in snow. Hope it goes through fast and warms up!!

OK runners, Buster shows there is no limits LOL. I'm amazed!!

Thanks Tina for your kind words on my blog :) It's just a hobby that's overtaken my inwards LOL

Kathi...glad you're up and about now ...do you have any hobbies that you do when you can't sleep??

I'm not looking forward to weighing in :( I should have had my hotdogs today with no buns!!!!

Kathi said...

brenda, no, i don't have any hobbies; but when i don't sleep, and if i'm feeling up to it, i clean up around my place; or i go on the computer and surf the net

does anyone need a mobility scooter? i'm selling mine for $350; if you want to look at it, it's on craigslist (under general for sale stuff..then type in electric mobility scooters)
