Kathi, anytime you are this way, or anyone else on the blog, you all had better coordinate to stop in Nashville for a visit! I would be sorely disappointed, otherwise. Tennessee is a nice place!
Leigh Ann, Bonita, LOL. John still calls her that.
you need to go back and look LOL...it's from late this AM :) I think I've told you the story before
kathi...Dana has a sewing machine but I don't think either of us could do a nice job on it...BUT over near Leighann we go to Bobbi's Tayloring and she's excellent and priced well...I can take you there tomorrow if you'd like...or you can borrow the sewing machine...either way...let me know about tomorrow
Again...Happy Birthday MARCI (carried over from this AM)
OH LORDY, I don't sew...lol; yeah, we can go there tomorrow, either before or after Target. The only problem is I fell off the roof on Saturday, so not sure how "done" I'm going to be; and they're white pants....YIKES.
Brenda, I totally believe that "runner's high" has a scientific basis. When I get warmed up (after about the first 5 miles) I do not want to stop. And that carries over after the run, too. I have lots more energy for hours afterward. When I miss a couple of days, I feel it. Now, it's to the point where when I am considering stopping, it's not because I am tired or ready to stop, but time constraints with work, kids, etc. You know the deal...and I understand you get addicted to that feeling. I guess there are worse addictions. :)
ok Kathi...we'll wait on the pants LOL...sounds like some of you girls are cycling together LOL
Steph...I would LOVE running as my addiction and the energized feeling from it...I do feel energized from my work outs and biking...I'll be doing just that before Kathi and I run errands tomorrow...but to run..wow...I can undestand how it's hard with schedules...omg...I can't imagine how you do it!!
ok...back to work...I'm working late again today..UGH!
And Brenda, that is cool about the birth coach. I bet she has seen it all, and I probably would be more open about discussing such things too, if I were in her position on a daily basis. I don't know if everyone knows it, but Leigh Ann was my birth coach with Ansley. She was right there with me, when they told me I would have to do it without anesthesia, and the poo hit the fan. I was terrified and in terrible pain, and I can't thank her enough for being there.
OMG; my SIL did that with my first niece; I don't know if there was time to get the epidural, as she didn't know she was in labor; you can totally hear her down the hall; that is one of my goals in life...is to see a baby actually coming out. I was there when both my grandmothers passed on; so now I want to complete the circle of life.
Oh, I knew I was in labor. Had been lying in triage for several hours, dilating...I think it came down to a staffing deficit that night for the anesthesiologists. I waited and waited, and finally, it was too late for it. Needless to say, I was pissed. Just a bit. I was ready to impale that little anesthesiologist with his clip board when he finally made it around, asking questions. They told me they were tied up with C-sections, and I guess it would be more important for ladies in surgery to have anesthesia over me, but I was feeling just a little selfish at the time, especially since I had been pleading for hours, for my epidural. Not a good time, and I would not recommend natural childbirth to anyone. Anyone who does it naturally on purpose is definitely more woman than me...
I don't think I'd ever be able to squeeze something the size of a watermelon out of an opening the size of a lemon - yes, I stole that from a movie, but it's true; think i'll sew my legs together; now that's birth control
LOL...Ok, I think I have everyone's pages updated. If you haven't sent me info (or if I missed it) let me know. Does anyone know - was the last Survivor the one on the 19th? I may be doing some stuff for Malawi - as far as the worm issues and stuff - I will keep you guys posted in case you want to help.
Leigh Anne & Brenda, let me know, I definitely want to help with Malawi, with the worm issues and all... I really had no idea about that sort of stuff, but I guess until you see it first hand like Crystal... sad...
Hey Kathi...I'll call you :) when I'm leaving the lake..I recall you live over by Wangenheim
Marci....the things we're hearing about, we knew, but it seems more personal and closer to home when someone we know is there giving us their own personal story ...How are you feeling and how is the family feeling???
OK, sounds good Brenda; yeah, I do live right across the street (south of it) from Wagenheim. I live in the complex IMMEDIATELY south of Gold Coast, on the west side of BM. I'm the second driveway; address 10240 BM. After you call, I'll wait where I meet LA; right when you pull into the driveway, there's three parking spots...I'll be there :) still around 5:00, right?
Thank you for doing this, Brenda; I really appreciate it...and I'm sure Leigh Ann does too (gives her a break from doing it all the time). I have an excellent sense of direction
Hey Marci; yeah, I'm feeling a lot better; boy, does ativan work! I actually did my OWN laundry yesterday (still got more to do) instead of doing it at my parents :); any baby news yet? I'm so not liking spring, with all the allergens in the air; so far, it's not affecting me too bad, but I'm lying in wait for major asthma attacks, which I normally get this time of year.
I am fixing to go the gym, although it is taking every ounce of will power I have...I would much rather take a nap before I go to Mesa College for my internship...I know I won't be home till late. I am 90% done with my portfolio and after that I have to finish my research paper - I haven't really started it yet. I have two big projects due on the 10th of April...then along with little stuff here and there - two more big projects due in May. I am defending my portfolio on 30 Apr...ugh, makes me want to crawl in bed!
Oh, you'll do fine, Leigh Ann. You're almost done, girlie; hang in there.
I am so incredibly TIRED. Maybe it's the "leftovers" from the ativan and cough medicine, but I can't keep my eyes open.
I'm meeting with a temporary resource counselor today (my old one left on Friday, and I'm feeling pretty depressed over it, cuz she was the best one I ever had); I'm OK with meeting this new one; it's so hard having an RC for a while and then they leave. Nine times out of ten, it's for a better position, but I HATE IT. I'm so fearful of falling backwards now; I've come so far with Ti (tea) - my old RC; she was Vietnamese.
Kathi...sorry to hear about the change with Ti...what does the resource counselor do for you?? Give you resources?? duh...I know ...
Leighann...you have a full load :( OMG...hang in there!!!you know I've not heard the term "defend my portfolio" until you moved back here to go to SDSU...in a way it sounds like they're coming to try and take it from you.....will you need support on the 30th?? my armour can a binder or backpack LOL
Thanks for asking Marci...Dana's truck is now smooth driving :) thank god! Glad to hear you're doing well :D
Ok, I'm meeting the temp at 330 today..but I'm kicking her out at 430 or 445 so we can go, Brenda;
a resource counselor helps me with my independent living skills.. goes through the mail with me, and if there's any important stuff, she'll help me understand it; general household stuff..an rc will set my goals for a year.. a goal could be that i prepare a meal twice a week, and i'm supposed to be doing that for the year; (nobody's gotten me to do this yet, though).. i've made incredible progress in the last two months; and our (my) goal is to continue making progress; and the rc's job is to support me in doing that
I know...that's just awful :( and now Shane is going back to work...I can't imagine the logistics in Shane's life right now....and how hard it is for Crystal to be gone
I think that's where most of my recent anxiety is coming from...I am so worried about her. I'm scared the the lady that's with her isn't gonna be able to stay for as long as it's gonna take; I'm scared, and please excuse my explicit language, but I'm scared shitless that she's gonna be alone; I'm gonna email Chrissie and see if that's gonna be the case
OMG. I just got another packet from the race committee, and I actually got butterflies when I opened it. I have to go in on the 24th to pick up my race number and my chip. I can't believe it's almost here. They have several corrals, and at the start of the race, they release them at 2-3 minute intervals, according to estimated finish times. My estimated finishing time puts me in the very first corral. I have seen pics from last year. I hope I dont get trampled! :) I don't know though; I have a lot of rage lately, so hopefully that will sustain me! And, I am practicing my mean face.
At this point, I don't know if I should continue running my ass off to train for endurance, or focus on sprints for speed, and what I should be eating, etc. I want to do it right, so I do the very best I can. Angela, where the heck are ya? I haven't seen you on the blog lately. I know you and your husband run; any training pointers for 1 month out from a 13-miler? Or if anybody else has any ideas, I am all ears...
As far as eating Steph, shouldn't you be loading up on carbs? Usually, I know they're not good, but I heard that carbs are great when you're training for something... any other advice...HA! I have not a CLUE; I THINK you should continue to train for endurance, but who knows... Wow; first corral... OMG; it'll be a stampede; when you said "I hope I don't get trampled", I had a vision of you getting trampled. I'd be scared out of my mind if I were in the first corral; I would get trampled, cuz I can't run fast
I just read Crystal's blog, and left a comment for them. Hopefully they will get some good news soon. steph, how exciting to get that ticket and number!! go go go Kathi & Brenda, i wish I would have went to Target with you 2... I love Target. Let us know where Miss Angela is. good luck with your final papers and all Leigh Ann, you are getting so close.. I am proud of you!
Angela is no longer particpating in our blogging family - she is fine, though. And, it has nothing to do with any of you guys - just me and I am ok with that! It was related to soccer not blogging. It really sucks, but such is life!
Isn't Angela one of your best friends, LA? I'm so sorry to hear this; are you sure you're ok? I nearly choked up, Leigh Ann, when you called it a "blogger family"; we really have become like a family now, huh?
OMG; I almost forgot to mention that I walked a mile today (down to Arco again)... and my feet are pretty good, actually; so I think the boots and the stretching of the achilles tendons are helping
Yes, kathi, everything is so incrediably expensive... State Farm overs us an insentive program, and we get like "points" in a "bank" and we get to buy goodies with it... it's really neat... I have about $300 built up..and holding.. will be buying some things I put off sometimes... L.A., if you need or want to talk.. call or email me... I'll listen... and vent with you, or drink with you, or laugh with you... LOL Kathi, keep walking, and let me know when you start cooking twice a week.... I know how hard it is for me to get motivated sometimes... keep stretching those footsies...
"Baby" News... nothing yet, but lots of contractions, we walked tonight about 2 miles.... a little action in the bathroom... I would think "efacing and thinning" and hopefully more dilating.. we go thursday morning... so I will update ya'll! woohoo...I'm ready... L.A. if she goes on friday, that is actually jamie lynn's birthday... that would be neat... I was just hoping on my birthday, but not.... oh well,
I'm stretchin those tootsies, Marci; but sometimes my tootsies scream at me and they don't want to be stretched, but I do it anyway, cuz I don't want to end up having surgery
we're officially on "baby watch"; can't wait to hear; Marci, Jamie Lynn is due in July, right? I heard that on Entertainment Tonight or something... JL shares a bday with my aunt (my mom's sister)
Kathi, good job with the walking. It's tough to keep going with an injury; trust me I know. My very bones ache now, a lot, with all of this running. The arch on my right foot has a perma-bruise, I am not sure why. I went last week and bought some of those cushion inserts for my running shoes and that feels much better! Keep doing that PT; don't take no for an answer from those Achilles buggers...well you know, within the confines of what your doctor is telling you to do!
Leigh Ann, apologies if I touched on a sore subject with Angela. I didn't know.
I'm afraid though, Steph; I'm afraid that if I stretch them too much, because they're so tight, they're going to snap; and I know that's IMMEDIATE surgery; I have the first PT appt. next Monday; so we'll see
Gosh, I would be afraid too. Be careful! And what the heck is Arco? I know it's a store. We have a little store chain here called Aldi, and I am picturing the same thing.
Oh yes about the carbs. I have read about carb loading, and I do try to eat maybe a turkey burger on a wheat bun the night before, or some wheat pasta, but I don't dare eat heavy the morning of. My husband keeps saying I need pancakes, but I cannot imagine, dragging all of that extra weight. Pancakes are so dense. Yuck! The marathon people say you don't need anything much on the day of a long run, other than maybe a banana. You should have plenty of reserves from the day prior. Just lots and lots of water. Hydration is so important for endurance, and all of this training has been so good for me in that regard. I know I wasn't drinking enough water. And I keep reading about energy gel, if you are going to be running longer than 100 minutes. Gosh, I hope it doesn't take me that long. The gel sounds disgusting! I think I will go to GNC today and ask about it. Maybe I should tuck one in a pocket, just in case.
Oh, I was totally off on the market! Funny, it's like a different country, rather than a different state sometimes, with all of the different stores! I remember I was surprised to hear about states that sold wine in grocery stores. I hear that is next for us. It's still in the voting stages, and I am sure it's going to be a fight. (Duh, Duh, Duh...BIBLE BELT!) We just got liquor by the drink a few years ago, and I am telling you, the growth since then has been amazing. We have lots of good places to eat now, and to drink! :) When I moved to Smyrna, it was pretty much just grass and lots of historic buildings. It's totally changed.
WOW!! SO much news on the blog overnight!!!! Steph...The first group ..omg!! We need pictures, video...ANYTHING!! :D So very excited and proud for you!! I have nothing to offer but support :) I don't know what yoy should be doing LOL
MARCI!!! Sounds like we're going to be hearing baby news really soon :) So very excited for you!!
Leighann...I'm with you...such is life...and life is really rough sometimes :(
Tina...Hope all is well with you ...haven't seen you on the blog except for Monday (?)
Kathi...my pleasure taking you out shopping yesterday...I like shopping, when I have money LOL...not anytime soon LOL
My brother LOL...he spent the night over at our house again...BUT I figured out why he randomly spends the night over at our house....he lives with his sis in law (his better half passed away) and she's WAY not healthy in the way she lives...my brother has been working really hard on bettering his life...anyway...he stays over to hour house when his best friend LISA and her kids (his neighbor)go up to LA area overnight to visit her daughter...He gets lonely without her, I think anyway....Say a prayer for him....he takes his physical today...and is in the works to get his 18 wheeler license back so he can hit the road..and make money for him but mainly Lisa and the kids :) It makes him happy and who am I to judge that :)
Steph :( No pictures!!! Will there be a website we can go to to scan the event pics in general and maybe pick you out of the crowd?? Or maybe John can take before and after shots as you leave the hotel :D So very cool to have your family there during the event!!!!
Yes...I've been watching the trucking story...scary!! If he gets in with a company he should be good...vs independant...but of course lower pay. I'm scared for him...the last time he drove a big rig...he jack kniffed (sp?) in the rain on the freeway...he was too scared to drive the big rigs and went into welding for 15 years
Wow, I don't blame him. I would have been terrified. I think its definitely an art, to drive one of those things, and I try to stay out of their way on the road! :)
We will definitely get before and after pics of the race, though. I will have to check on the webcast for the race. I don't know if they do that, but it would definitely be cool if they did!
Okay, I just checked and the marathon is going to be broadcast on Fox Sports and ESPN! I had no idea. The events coordinator is going to call me back with more specs, and I will pass them along as I get them. It's a big race. They had 22,500 people registered last year, and they expect to exceed that this year. Ought to be fun!
Steph, you gotta tell us what you're going to wear so we can pick you out, if at all possible. When is it again? I'll have cable again, so I will be able to watch...so very excited about that. Let me clarify someting...I do have cable, but just the very basic; they're coming out tomorrow to hook me back up to the 2-99 channels
Brenda, my purse is AWESOME. It has SO many pickets and hiding places; it's gonna be great for Vegas; so is my wallet
Steph, No worries about Angela...and it's great that it's going to be on Fox and ESPN - can't wait! Hello all, I have been on the phone gabbing and now must do homework. I will check back in with you guys. Marci and Steph, Did you guys give me your info, I probably missed in cause I was gone all weekend....
Just checking back in. My run got cut short by a work call, but I did 6 miles in 44 minutes. That's just over a 7 mph pace. That's the fastest I have ever run! I think from here until race time, I am going to try to stick to that pace, and just add some mileage with each run. That will keep me under my 100 minute goal for 13 miles...just talkin', if anybody cares! :) I can't help it; I am really getting excited!
YEs!! thanks Steph...I'm for sure going to watch it...either live or taped...either way I AM! LOL ...you should wear a plaid neon green shirt...do you think anyone will wear that??? or wear bunny ears...SOMETHING!! :D You do run fast! and I, too, love reading about it!
Kathi glad you love the new purse :) it does look very fun :D
Happy Wednesday everyone!!! Busy busy week! I am sitting in the orthodontist office right now. Very excited that there was an unsecure wireless network I could hook on. :o) Things going well this week. I can finally work out without thinking I would die due to sore muscles from the soccer game. LA - you should see the bruise on my thigh for taking that girl that was talking shit about you to the wall... IM SO PROUD!! lol Hope everyone is having a good week!
Thanks, everybody, about my run time. I am pretty proud of that. For the longest time, I am talking years, I couldn't get it below about a 9-1/2 minute mile. But I have pretty long legs (I am 5 feet, 8 inches) and I have just figured out how to open my stride and use that to my advantage. New breathing techniques, etc. Lots of stuff finally coming into play for me. Kathi, that was funny about the jet packs! I saw some guys from Kenya, in the race last year (race highlights online) and those guys have the jet packs. Amazing that a person can run like that. Sprints are one thing, but to sustain it over distance...Wow.
I am off to they gym...did homework ALL damn day, my mind is mush! But, I will be completing my portfolio (another blog) tonight! YAH!!!This is me (taken from Brenda) now O->-<
Good for you Leigh Ann with the gym after a hard day...
yes Tina, take her ass down!!!!!! and anybody else...who talks about one of the girls on this blog...
what's up today kathi? how are your footsies????
tomorrow morning an update... on baby Mylee, she got another precious outfit today, a little cheerleader outfit with bloomers from a fellow cheerleader of KK's...

Oh Kathi they will help you sooooo much, just listen and do your exercises.... I'm routing for you... we will definitely make plans for a reunion blog... I love it...
Kathi, if I am doing 7-minute miles, the Kenyans are doing 5. And they don't look like it's even an effort; just a stroll in the park. It's all out for me to do 7 and I am beet-red faced and heart jumping out of my chest! They are unreal..
I was going to make a Smokey and the Bandit reference and forgot to; remember that movie? (you know, the Kenyans will pass me like I am standing still, like the Bandit). My son saw that movie recently (the clean version, because of Jackie Gleason!!) and now is talking and laughing about it.
My favorite part is when Jackie Gleason kicks that would-be roadside car vandal in the butt while he is leaning on the car to be frisked, and tells him, "Now THAT...was an attention-getter". Hilarious.
Leigh Ann, incidentally; I don't know if you remember that John calls me his Frog...the reason is not because I collect frogs; it's from Smokey and The Bandit; Burt Reynolds tells Sally Field her radio handle is Frog, after she begs for one, and she says, "Frog...why Frog?" and he tells her, because she is always hopping around and he wants to jump her. :D I thought that was pretty dang cute of hubby to say, so now I am Frog...just sharing a little history! I didn't know if I had told you that before.
YES, I remember that movie...I love it; but I like the other version, with Sammy Davis Jr. in it, or is that the one you mentioned? I haven't seen that movie in SO long, so can't remember.
OMG...on the MSN homepage this morning, ya'll have to check out the baby elephant doing a self-portrait. He is actually painting, holding and manipulating a brush with his trunk. It is the sweetest, most beautiful thing...truly amazing!
Good Morning all :) I too love Steph's frog story :) very cute! Tina...I hope the bruise is getting better...yes, you took one for your team mate LOL :) Glad to see you back on the blog!! Kathi :) great going on the walking..hoping you have some relief with the PT Marci...cute dress the baby got :D hope you have good news to share!
I didn't go to the gym as planned :( darnit!!! I ended up going home and doing chores...MUCH NEEDED I need to get my garage cleaned up because I'm having a dinner/meeting in there Sat night for the Botanical Foundation...I was scheduled to ride tomorrow...I'm thinking of doing the gym instead...I MISS THE GYM!! After I hurt my foot, then I got sick, then I had stuff going on...I got away from it!! I must regroup :)
go figure...I have been pretty much non stop hitting redial on the phone here at work trying to get my dogs into the vet for their shots...you can only call today for appts next week...they only will see the animals on one day next week (their shots are late and we already have late fees on the rabies) anyway...Steve calls once from his work...and gets right through!!!!!!! go figure!!!! LOL
Leighann :) it has been a busy time but when I look at my appt book...it's pretty much all volunteer stuff or fun stuff LOL...I need another PAID job :)
I'm listening to jef/jer on the radio (our local morning DJs) they are talking about...not doing something/or doing something and not feeling guilty about it :D Jer said if your going to do something and feel guilty about it...then you should do what you were suppose to do anyway....I LOVE IT!!!
I have just emailed my portfolio blog to my professor...this is two years worth of artifacts with relfections for each one...I am doing a little dance!
Going to Disney Land...oh, already did that. I guess I will start on my Research Paper - think Thesis - which I will defend when I present my portfolio. Hypothyroidism and Cognitive Impairment...
Ughh...my ear just popped. FINALLY! Which would be great, if they both did. Now, the pressure in the other side is just unbearable. No matter what I try, I cannot Valsalva (can you tell I work for an ENT? ;). I have tried yawning, chewing gum, blowing up a balloon, holding my nose and blowing, to no avail. I hope this junk clears before the race, though I am sure I won't be the only one running with a stopped up head. Oh, beautiful Spring...I don't know if it's a cold, or a sinus infection.
No baby yet...she emailed me earlier and maybe she will post later...I don't want to steal her thunder. But KK and the baby are good. Tina or Brenda, do you guys remember what year Rima was born...from after the soccer game last weekend...was it 81?
Hey girlies!!!! we have great news, KK was checked today, still at 2 cm, but 80% effaced, which is great for induction... we go in 10 p.m. on Tuesday night and they will start inducing and we should have a baby Wednesday before lunch!!! :) I hope she goes in before that! LOL Nonnie can't wait, no patience...
Hopefully everyone else is doing great! I saw the new pictures that Crystal had posted they were great.
She is really loving the half-way house and my older sister is about to have a fit because she wants her in the nursing home...I am going to start a new post on my home page - I am just still upset about losing it all... Great news about KK!
I know that was your "journal" about your mom's journey, but it will be ok... maybe better not to dwell and see that everyday.... a new beginning... start a new post... the bad stuff is behind you, and the future is great!
Kathi, b/c of KK's age, they didn't want the baby to get too big and her have trouble delivering.. but of course Thurs they told us the baby was 5 lb 15 oz, and Saturady they estimate her at 7lbs 6 oz... so go figure.. a lb and 1/2 off.... she'll end up still having a good size baby.. time will tell....
Leighann...have fun with the errands and getting away from the homework :)
Tina....so sorry you don't feel good!!
Kathi...CABLE WOOHOO!!
We are now in full fair planning mode!! :) I belong with a group of folks that have an alley at the fair and we have about 6 boothes that will house a variety of rocks and plants...it gets better every year!!! The Del Mar Fair starts June 14th!!!
Hey everyone, hope the soccer games go good! and no one gets hurt. LOL I've been in bed all day, BAD virus... from both ends... since this morning, I am down 3 lbs... not the best way to do it... yuck! I've got to get over this shit before we go in the hospital... I'll be lysoling this weekend
Oh man, Marci. So sorry for you. I actually felt better today. You know, I have still been up and functioning, but not really with any energy. Today I actually felt like normal, body wise. I can hear now. Thanks for asking, Brenda! I think we got ours (the baby, originally) from a shopping cart, which I would say confirms my suspicion that those things carry the plague, and should be incinerated! I am the mom you see, wiping the handle down with bleach wipes before putting my kid in one. Hate it!
Oh Kathi and Marci, Hope you guys feel better. Yea, Kathi what is up with that? Steph, glad you guys are feeling better. Our grocery stores have those wipes now...lol
Oh yea, I have signed us up (the blog) to donate $50.00 to Savannah-Hopes twin sisters and their famiies -see Crystals blog - at least 10 per person, but I would love to double this. If you can't or don't want to no worries - if you can give more just let me know. Have a great Saturday!!!

Ok...here comes another week!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARCI!
Kathi, anytime you are this way, or anyone else on the blog, you all had better coordinate to stop in Nashville for a visit! I would be sorely disappointed, otherwise. Tennessee is a nice place!
Leigh Ann, Bonita, LOL. John still calls her that.
I put this on the other post, but leigh ann, put me as gaining two pounds (i'm fully clothed, so i took two pounds off for that)
I will Steph, definitely coordinate a stop in Nashville; I know a lot of people there now; now even more when the wrathers move there
What did I miss about the tampon?
"Enquiring minds need to know"
you need to go back and look LOL...it's from late this AM :) I think I've told you the story before
kathi...Dana has a sewing machine but I don't think either of us could do a nice job on it...BUT over near Leighann we go to Bobbi's Tayloring and she's excellent and priced well...I can take you there tomorrow if you'd like...or you can borrow the sewing machine...either way...let me know about tomorrow
How are you the girls, Marci? Any baby news?
damn; for the "and" in the note to marci :(
Brenda, I totally believe that "runner's high" has a scientific basis.
I loved being there - it was such an honor! She was great, you guys -not a thing for pain.
OMG; my SIL did that with my first niece; I don't know if there was time to get the epidural, as she didn't know she was in labor; you can totally hear her down the hall; that is one of my goals in life...is to see a baby actually coming out. I was there when both my grandmothers passed on; so now I want to complete the circle of life.
and those who blog together, cycle together....LOL
Thank goodness, I never had to do it, yikes!
Hey ladies, thanks for all the happy birthday notes...
I agree, natural childbirth is not fun... I had my first that way...
a faster recovery, but oh the pain!!!
I hope no one on this blog asks me to sew anything~ my children get all excited when I sew a button... and I get excited with myself!
L.A., I love the little girl's expression on the blog... precious. I was so excited to hear from you today!
Marci
Good, me too!
Yes Leighann...Survivor wasn't on last Thursday...was it due to basketball?? I think yes
Leigh Anne & Brenda, let me know, I definitely want to help with Malawi, with the worm issues and all... I really had no idea about that sort of stuff, but I guess until you see it first hand like Crystal... sad...
Keep me informed...
Marci
Yeah, in fact, I just emailed Chrissie myself wanting to help..it can't be much, but anything is ok, right?
Happy April Fool's Day, everyone. Be careful today.
Brenda, do you know where I live? Give me a call when your on your way today; 566-7896 or cell 603-0478 (both 858)
Good Morning Everyone!!!
Good Morning to you too Leighann :)
Good Morning, Leigh Ann.
OK, sounds good Brenda; yeah, I do live right across the street (south of it) from Wagenheim. I live in the complex IMMEDIATELY south of Gold Coast, on the west side of BM. I'm the second driveway; address 10240 BM. After you call, I'll wait where I meet LA; right when you pull into the driveway, there's three parking spots...I'll be there :) still around 5:00, right?
you got it Kathi...the time is there and about....I'll call as I'm leaving the lake :) great directions
Thank you for doing this, Brenda; I really appreciate it...and I'm sure Leigh Ann does too (gives her a break from doing it all the time). I have an excellent sense of direction
Good morning everyone!
Feeling better today, now the old sinus' are kicking in with pollen and all in the air.
Kathi, are you feeling any better?
Brenda is the car running better?
LA, what you up to?
Marci
Crystal's blog is updated...she can't come home as planned ...she's delayed there
Ok, I'm meeting the temp at 330 today..but I'm kicking her out at 430 or 445 so we can go, Brenda;
a resource counselor helps me with my independent living skills.. goes through the mail with me, and if there's any important stuff, she'll help me understand it; general household stuff..an rc will set my goals for a year.. a goal could be that i prepare a meal twice a week, and i'm supposed to be doing that for the year; (nobody's gotten me to do this yet, though).. i've made incredible progress in the last two months; and our (my) goal is to continue making progress; and the rc's job is to support me in doing that
ok, i'm off to her blog now...
I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S TAKING THIS FRICKIN LONG FOR THE FRICKIN VISA CENTER TO LOG IN HER (CRYSTAL'S) PAPERWORK!!!! WHAT THE %&*% IS TAKING SO LONG?
I'm sorry for yelling..I just had to get that out; I burst into tears as I was leaving a comment.
I wanna go to the Visa Center so bad and kick some butt.
OMG; ANGELA, I totally forgot about her; Leigh Ann, what happened to Angela? Hope she's ok.
Thank you again, Brenda, for the Target run; and it was awesome to see you again.
I just read Crystal's blog, and left a comment for them. Hopefully they will get some good news soon.
steph, how exciting to get that ticket and number!! go go go
Kathi & Brenda, i wish I would have went to Target with you 2... I love Target.
Let us know where Miss Angela is.
good luck with your final papers and all Leigh Ann, you are getting so close.. I am proud of you!
marci
Angela is no longer particpating in our blogging family - she is fine, though. And, it has nothing to do with any of you guys - just me and I am ok with that! It was related to soccer not blogging. It really sucks, but such is life!
Marci, I nearly had a stroke when the total came up... things have gotten so frickin expensive!! It came out to be $62....YIKES
LOL
Kathi, keep walking, and let me know when you start cooking twice a week.... I know how hard it is for me to get motivated sometimes... keep stretching those footsies...
marci
"Baby" News...
nothing yet, but lots of contractions, we walked tonight about 2 miles.... a little action in the bathroom... I would think "efacing and thinning" and hopefully more dilating..
we go thursday morning... so I will update ya'll!
woohoo...I'm ready...
L.A. if she goes on friday, that is actually jamie lynn's birthday... that would be neat...
I was just hoping on my birthday, but not.... oh well,
marci
That does sound disgusting. Arco is a gas station; but it also has a little mini mart, where you can get snacks and beverages
Leigh Ann, sorry for the double post. Please delete. I don't know why it did that! Good morning to you, by the way!
OMG! A webcast that we can watch!!
What's the website??
Hello all,
I have been on the phone gabbing and now must do homework. I will check back in with you guys.
Marci and Steph,
Did you guys give me your info, I probably missed in cause I was gone all weekend....
Sorry, Leigh Ann, I guess I forgot too. I did 28 miles last week, according to my log.
Steph, that is incredible - 7 minutes! WOW!!!
Of course, I meant to say 7-minute miles. Duh. Glad you seemed to understand what I meant, Leigh Ann.
Yes...lol...I had to go back and see what you really wrote;0
YEs!! thanks Steph...I'm for sure going to watch it...either live or taped...either way I AM! LOL ...you should wear a plaid neon green shirt...do you think anyone will wear that??? or wear bunny ears...SOMETHING!! :D You do run fast! and I, too, love reading about it!
Kathi glad you love the new purse :) it does look very fun :D
Hey Leighann :) hello to our busy friend!
http://www.cmmarathon.com/home.html
Holy shit, Steph; a mile in 7 minutes!!!!! Do you have jet propelled rocket boosters in your shoes??????
Missed your "Good Morning" to us all this am, Leigh Ann; BUT TOTALLY UNDERSTAND.
Baby report, Marci...Do we have a blogger baby yet? OH CRAP, you said you go back in tomorrow; forgot, sorry
I just realized that I don't have to go through LA's blog to get to this one....LMAO
Good Afternoon...not quite the same, uh, Kathi? Too funny!
LOL, Leigh Ann...Good Afternoon to you too
Happy Wednesday everyone!!! Busy busy week! I am sitting in the orthodontist office right now. Very excited that there was an unsecure wireless network I could hook on. :o)
Things going well this week. I can finally work out without thinking I would die due to sore muscles from the soccer game.
LA - you should see the bruise on my thigh for taking that girl that was talking shit about you to the wall... IM SO PROUD!! lol
Hope everyone is having a good week!
Tina
I hope you got her good, Tina; NO ONE TALKS SHIT ABOUT OUR GIRL
ROF...Tina you are my HERO! Thanks, Kathi - she was a mean one!
Well... lets put it this way, If my bruise is this big... hers is BIGGER!!! LOL
And THATS RIGHT Kathi!! Nobody talks crap about LA in MY HALF the FIELD!!! hahahahahahaha
Tina
Wow, Tina! You are a machine! :) I definitely want you on my side when it goes down!
Good for you Leigh Ann with the gym after a hard day...
yes Tina, take her ass down!!!!!!
and anybody else...who talks about one of the girls on this blog...
what's up today kathi? how are your footsies????
tomorrow morning an update... on baby Mylee, she got another precious outfit today, a little cheerleader outfit with bloomers from a fellow cheerleader of KK's...
marci

Oh, I know, Steph, those guys from Kenya are incredible! How fast would you say they run? It seems like they win every marathon;
Hey Marci; feet are a little sore; calfs (sp?) hurt more though.. can't wait for Monday to get here, and see what they suggest; have my first PT appt.
Oh Kathi they will help you sooooo much, just listen and do your exercises.... I'm routing for you...
we will definitely make plans for a reunion blog... I love it...
what else is going on with everyone?
marci
My stick person didn't come out right! Here I am...
O->-<
Good Morning Everyone...it's almost Friday.
Steph, that is cute about the Frog!
Kathi, hope you slept well.
Good Morning all :) I too love Steph's frog story :) very cute! Tina...I hope the bruise is getting better...yes, you took one for your team mate LOL :) Glad to see you back on the blog!!
Kathi :) great going on the walking..hoping you have some relief with the PT
Marci...cute dress the baby got :D
hope you have good news to share!
I didn't go to the gym as planned
:( darnit!!!
Marci...keep us posted!
Brenda, regrouping is good - you have been so busy!
go figure...I have been pretty much non stop hitting redial on the phone here at work trying to get my dogs into the vet for their shots...you can only call today for appts next week...they only will see the animals on one day next week (their shots are late and we already have late fees on the rabies) anyway...Steve calls once from his work...and gets right through!!!!!!! go figure!!!!
LOL
Leighann :) it has been a busy time but when I look at my appt book...it's pretty much all volunteer stuff or fun stuff LOL...I need another PAID job :)
Yes, if we could get paid for what we love to do - that would be the life!
I know!! Since I haven't been able to watch Survivor with you...I schedule to watch Big Brother with Mary and her mom!!!! good grief!! LOL
Yes, I love them...like taking off of school or work and then feeling so guilty you don't even enjoy it, that's me, I just have to go.
YES!! Leighann :) HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!! All that hard work DONE!!!!!!!!!! (or as you would say LOL DUN) yahoo!!
Well, we should all do more for ourselves and NOT feel guilty :) I'm acutally coming to terms with that LOL..it's working!!
LEIGHANN....YOU JUST TURNED IN YOU PORTFOLIO...WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?????????
LEIGHANN SAYS __________________!
Going to Disney Land...oh, already did that. I guess I will start on my Research Paper - think Thesis - which I will defend when I present my portfolio. Hypothyroidism and Cognitive Impairment...
Well, kidnap me one day, I need to let go of the guilt!
Ohhh really :D I can do that my friend!!!
Well for now Happy Thesis!
Dern, that stinks...hope it clears soon!
Steph...have you tried an antihistamine?? or something else.. my gosh...that sounds really painful :(
Where am I? Hehe...
You guys are WAY too funny today!!
Yeah, Leigh Ann, I slept well; thank you.
YAY; I got my cable back :D
Hey Tina - we are playing until we leave...
OK, just finished a draft ppt...sigh, need to go to the gym!
Hey LA!! I saw that. I responded to Jeff's email too. I am glad! I am not feeling great... think im getting a cold. *poop*!
Tina
Ugh...I hope not!
HEY; we haven't heard from Marci yet... wonder if KK's having the baby
No baby yet...she emailed me earlier and maybe she will post later...I don't want to steal her thunder. But KK and the baby are good.
Tina or Brenda, do you guys remember what year Rima was born...from after the soccer game last weekend...was it 81?
Hey girlies!!!!
we have great news,
KK was checked today, still at 2 cm, but 80% effaced, which is great for induction...
we go in 10 p.m. on Tuesday night and they will start inducing and we should have a baby Wednesday before lunch!!! :)
I hope she goes in before that! LOL
Nonnie can't wait, no patience...
Hopefully everyone else is doing great! I saw the new pictures that Crystal had posted they were great.
Love to all,
Marci
Leigh Ann,
I have been a little pre-occupied, but how is your mom???? I forgot to ask you at the beginnining of the week...
Marci
Why are they inducing when the due date hasn't passed yet? I thought they induce once the baby's like a week past its due date
Kathi, b/c of KK's age, they didn't want the baby to get too big and her have trouble delivering.. but of course Thurs they told us the baby was 5 lb 15 oz, and Saturady they estimate her at 7lbs 6 oz... so go figure.. a lb and 1/2 off.... she'll end up still having a good size baby.. time will tell....
want to play the game?????
I am estimating a baby weighing....
7 lbs 13 oz.... born at 9:53 a.m.
lets see who is the closest....

Man, I haven't been to the Fair in YEARS; I'd only have a month before Vegas though, so don't know about this year, either :(
Yes Kathi...you're on a mission to get to Vegas!!! You're getting closer to the date :) With enough time left to bank the $$$$
Good morning, everybody!
Brenda, make sure you get pictures of your booths. I would like to see that! :)
Sure Steph! Happy Friday!!
Kathi...Yahoo for the Padres winning!
My choice for baby stats is 6lbs 6oz and born at 11:38 am.
(zach was 6lbs 6 oz. and born at 11:38 on 6/2/90 - hence my choice)
Tina
Wow, Tina; can't believe Zach's gonna 18!!!! He was probably 7 or 8the last time I saw him; he was tiny when he was born; how big were the girls?
I know Kathi!! Makes a mom feel old. LOL
Jenna weighed 5lbs 13oz and Tia was 5lbs 6oz. Not bad for twins at 6 weeks preemie!
Tina

Tina
Hey everyone, hope the soccer games go good! and no one gets hurt. LOL
I've been in bed all day, BAD virus... from both ends... since this morning, I am down 3 lbs... not the best way to do it... yuck!
I've got to get over this shit before we go in the hospital...
I'll be lysoling this weekend
Marci
Oh man, Marci. So sorry for you. I actually felt better today. You know, I have still been up and functioning, but not really with any energy. Today I actually felt like normal, body wise. I can hear now. Thanks for asking, Brenda! I think we got ours (the baby, originally) from a shopping cart, which I would say confirms my suspicion that those things carry the plague, and should be incinerated! I am the mom you see, wiping the handle down with bleach wipes before putting my kid in one. Hate it!
I'm ready to pull out my female parts...and I just ended my monthly annoyance a few days ago! Have no frickin idea what the hell is going on
Oh Kathi and Marci, Hope you guys feel better. Yea, Kathi what is up with that?
Steph, glad you guys are feeling better. Our grocery stores have those wipes now...lol
Oh yea,
I have signed us up (the blog) to donate $50.00 to Savannah-Hopes twin sisters and their famiies -see Crystals blog - at least 10 per person, but I would love to double this. If you can't or don't want to no worries - if you can give more just let me know.
Have a great Saturday!!!
