Marci...LOL on you and LA smoking like freight trains; I remember when she used to smoke. Good idea on the walking around my building..I do need to get back walking...gained another three pounds (weighed in this morning)
LA; I think I'm getting anxious over the Vegas trip, even though it's still FOUR MONTHS away; I'm having nightmares over not having enough money and my friend not being able to go; dumping on me the last minutes...even though I know she'd never do that. I think also still not feeling great might have something to do with it; going back to the doctor later (and actually seeing mine this time)
Kathi, all will work out fine.... just relax, you need a good trip! all will be fine.... make yourself an envelope for each day, and once it's gone, it's gone!!! LOL

Ok, I am back... our building was evacuated... a gas station closed down and they were cleaning out the pumps and they started blowing!!!! Talk about my ass moved.... I may have lost a lb!!! LOL
They have everything under control, so of course my boss said, get back and get to work! I ran home and did a load of clothes. ha

It ended up being a 4 foot pipe about 10 inches in diameter came shooting out of one of the pumps with all the pressure and landed on top of a vehicle!
The man was still in the vehicle he was ok though...

I just still can't get over KK and Tori were babies and Samantha was over 2 years old and still fit in it!!! she was so extremely tiny.... still is.... 4'10"... I remember when she started kindergarten she weighed 27 lbs and in a size 2T!! unreal...

Ok, the doc put me on prednisone again, which i needed to begin with...stops my wheezing when i get a cough like the one i have; thankfully he only put me on for a week, or i my bs (blood sugar) would've gone through the roof, and possibly could've been hospitalized again if it got too out of hand (was last year)...so we'll see how it goes; anxiety is a little better. i'm still wondering how we're gonna pull the trip off though - not even the gambling part - coming up with the rest of what i owe for the room, the car rental, gas, food... (my friend thinks that we can get by on just $80 for the gas - i say "blow it out your ass, woman"..i'm figuring twice that, if gas is gonna be $4.00/gal by the time we go)...luckily my birthday's in a little less than five weeks, so i'm hoping for some money
i think i would've crapped in my pants too, marci, if something like that happened to me; glad all is ok; and i'm glad you went home instead of back to work
OK; LA and marci, i thought you guys were SISTERS, not in laws...kind of slow here...LOL; secondly, whoever has that blue dress should have it preserved for when Tori has her first daughter (if she has one), or KK...that is a family heir loom now; i almost cried when i read that..
Marci, I laughed hard at you describing the adrenaline rush with the gas pump today. Maybe that's what I need; an explosion behind me, about half way through the race! :) I would love to blow by those dudes up front, and log 13 5-minute miles!! Ahhh...to dream!

KK's car bit the dust... Sam was at work at the daycare... KK took my van, dropped Gabrielle off at dancing and took Madison to hypotherapothy horse back lessons.. so I rode home with the office manager who lives in the same subdivision... well someone took the outside key and left it inside.... no further explanations.. other than, mom's ass is on the swing outside until someone gets home... LOL
good time alone!!! only the beer was inside... ha

yes Kathi, we did it on February 28th... yes, I too am hoping for some reason it is epilepsy... a whole lot better prognosis than a blood disorder that would shorten her life span...

I had action at work..walking down the stairs...my ankle gave out and down hard I went!! If I wasn't in shape (LOL) I think I may have done some serious damage...but..it's all good...I just hurt all over..I did get up ...shake if off and off on the afternoon walk I went :D
OMG, Brenda...ouch! I hope it's only your pride, bruised!! And thank goodness, no cameras on the stairs! :) I am so clumsy, and always tripping on something. i think I walk better in heels! I think it's because I am consciously making an effort in them, both to protect my ankles, and so as not to scuff...nothing worse than a scuff on a new pair. I hope the ouchies go away soon.
Leigh Ann, I actually took my scheduled day off on my big account yesterday. Didn't touch it. I did work for a little while on my other side work, but it felt great not to be sitting and typing all day! I have to make myself do that every week. Don't want burnout. It wouldn't matter even if I did get burned out...I still have to keep on typing. :) Oh well, I feel refreshed this morning and ready to do good work. Had the windows open all day yesterday, and it's gonna be even prettier today.
sorry to hear of your fall brenda; and the only problem with flying, is my friend is gonna bring her wheelchair; we'd have to check that, and all the luggage...we were gonna bring food as well to cut down on costs; but yes, i seriously considered flying; i'm still secretly checking into it though...

I won't be working out today due to other plans...so that will be good :)

Hey Marci...I'm at work and all seems well here :) Not sure how the rest of the gang is...
I took the stares this AM carefully LOL...went for my walk...didn't walk too fast...my ankles seem to be ok but the rest of the feet are sore and my knees, back and tail bone are all sore...and now my arms from when I tried to grab myself as I fell...What a mess!!!!!!!!! When I get to the gym tomorrow, I'm going to not do cardio machines. I'm sure I just jolted the body and it needs to heal...all in a day, right :)
Any baby news today??? How's your daughter feeling?? Are you just on the edge of your seat waiting??
yes Brenda, we go to the doctor today, at 4.... hopefully they will start checking her for dilating... I just can't stand it.... no patience here... I need to smooch that little baby girl! KK is feeling great, she's really had a wonderful pregnancy.. hopefully the delivery will be as well.

Purple socks...too funny!
We are still working with my mom and the social worker...won't have any updates for a couple of days...if I just worked, I would take emergency leave and go down there...but with school, I don't have that option.
Worked out and I feel better - have been anxious the past couple of days and right when I went to call my doc to put me on something, my sister called back about my other sister, blah, blah, blah - hell, I don't even have time to be sick! Was going to try Paxil CR...any advice?
Leighann...I talked to you earlier and through all of this craziness...you made me laugh soooo much :) Not that you were even trying to be funny...there are parts of the situation that warrented LAUGHING...you made my day!!!

I hadn't been on anything for years, but recently was put on the Effexor XR time release, and I really like it..
OH, and I chopped my hair off.... went really short, it is layered up in the back and comes a little longer in the front, and put some red and blond highlights.. more red ... Nonnie is ready!!!! LOL

Is the baby calling you Nonnie...I want to be called that or Nonna, I love it! Your hair sounds beautiful! I looked into the Effexor, but it doesn't treat EVERY
THING. Paxil CR treats PMDD, GAD, PTSD...if I have got it - it can treat it! And, I can take it just for that two weeks prior to my period...hell, who knows?
Your right, Brenda, sometimes you just have to laugh - your talk did me wonders as well.
Then Jeanine, my sister, called me...I had called her earlier to see if I had the right address. Her daughter, Cally, turns 19 tomorrow (thanks for that info, Marci) and I mailed her a belated b-day card. Anyway, had a great talk and she even said that if Mom needed anything to let her know and she would run it to her...it was so nice. I should really do better keeping in touch.

I let Madison go in the living room first, to show her daddy, I said Daddy, she cut all her hair off... (which we only cut 4 inches, but it is still mid back area.. her hair was really long and gorgeous.. but needed a good trim... and then Madi said, and Mom cut all her hair off.. and when I rounded the corner Mike said, "OH", I like it... like he is trying to reassure himself!! LOL

Hello Ladies,
Sorry haven't checked in for a bit. Slammed at work, had to put the tahoe in for repair/service Monday, DD had a 730pm game Monday night, practices & meeting last night & tonight. I just got home about a half hour ago and am eating something nuked for dinner now as I type! Oh boy, I forgot I've got to bring DS to the orthodontist for a consult tomorrow. Egads! This week, I open my purse and moths fly out now! Oh yeah - top it off I fell off the roof today! I haven't gone running in several days - I miss that stress release!!
Few. That little vent made me feel a little better. :o) Sorry to do that to you all. Most of you have way bigger fish to fry than my whining. Hang in there!
I just need to be careful. It's when things are so crazy that my healthy diet takes a nose dive. Although making it a new healthy lifestyle months back I think is making me pause before I reach for junk. Now that I seem to be over my cold, I got to get back into my exercise habbit. I wound up working through lunch today. Bad habbit.

Angela, you are so methodical with your workouts and with your diet, 1 slip-up is okay. That is a crazy schedule and would make anybody crack, and reach for some sugar! :) I am sure your body is just craving something to give it an extra boost after all of that "running". You haven't been on the trails, but you HAVE been running. I hate that kind of running...
I am having my coffee and trying out my new wool wrap I bought a few weeks ago. I love it! It is so warm, and just enough while I am at my desk. Brenda, I know you can relate! I am always cold at my desk! Plus, I went to tan last night, and I am sunburned (bulb-burned, rather) and I am chilly. It's going to be 73 here today before it snaps off cool again, and I snuck out to tan so I can wear shorts today! Off to read about births, broken hips, gastric scopes and all kinds of goodies at work! :) Ladies, have a great day!!!

I remember that when I commuted to work, Brenda! Why do they keep it so dang cold in offices? I guess to keep everyone awake? :) Those little "toe toasters" are nice too...those little space heaters you put under your desk.
Leigh Ann, you would have laughed at the tanning bed. That little girl at the counter, she looked about 16, and her boyfriend behind the counter, looked me up and down and said, "Um, you haven't tanned in a while, have you?" You should have seen her face. I mean, was I glowing or something? :) She said she didn't recommend that I stay in a 15-minute bed longer than 8 or 9 minutes my first time. I said thanks for the recommendation, and give me the full treatment. So I stayed in 13 of 15 minutes, until I got hot, and today, I am a pink lobster! So I guess that diaper-butt at the counter was right. ;)
ROF...diaper butt - too funny. I start out at 8 or 9 minutes, myself. Must get to going here pretty soon.

LA, the Vegas trip is in July (21st-24th); and no, I haven't started back walking due to my heels being too sore..back to using my the electric scooter that i'm selling (just for long distances though); I do walk around my level, to keep the muscles and everything else loose. I go to the podiatrist on Monday for the heels.
And you're very welcome on the info...anytime. I completely forgot that I knew all that stuff until I read what I did.

Hey Kathi...hope you heal quickly!! and me too!!! the ankle gave out on the right foot but that wasn't the problem...the problem is when I collapsed onto my left foot and torqued it ...went to my doc(military)...they actually wouldn't OFFICIALLY see me because they don't see Work Comp cases...that did it for me....don't have time for this!! So, I'm gonna give it 2 weeks to heal on it's own..then if not, I'll go back to HR and find their docs...I'll do whatever the foot lets me do :D

I got a call today, my baby girl had lots of abnormalities on her EEG on the back lobes of her brain..... :( he said it is consistant with epilepsy.. we will start her on meds this Saturday and we will go back for a check up in 8 weeks... to follow up... he's going to gradually introduce her to the meds... every 4 days we will up her meds...

We are doing ok, only b/c we suspected this so it's not a huge shocker. Anything is hard to take when you have no control and it's your children.

I knew that it had to be something like that, marci; now, the medication i think he'll start her on is called Neurontin (very small dose, obviously); I'm on it, but for a very different reason, but IT IS A GOD SEND, believe me. I don't know if they'll also start her on any anti-seizure medications, like Tegratol, Dilantin, etc. I'm thinking just the Neurontin for now.
So glad you have your answers.
Thanks for the update on your mom. You have got to realize that you have done everything right in your life, and it was perfectly normal for you to be pissed at your mom. That's also part of life. The past can't be changed so look at the future and be OK with what will happen... you have some control and input on the future.... she will come around and ya'll can heal.

I'm in my slippers here at work LOL...yes Angela..RICE...I choose the 2 week to go to the work comp docs...after talking off the record with the doc at Navcare...I'm good..and if not, then go in 2 weeks...all's good :)

they will start her on Trileptal, 1 cc 2X a day for 4 days, then 2 ccs, then 3 ccs, then the 4 ccs 2X a day after taht.

I've never heard of that medication, so couldn't give you a background on it. Her doctor sounded wonderful when you first told us of what would be happening. Did you do any "background check" on him? My mom ALWAYS look at what diplomas and degrees were hangin on his walls, and it there weren't that many, she'd come out and directly ask him where he did his training, internships, residencies, etc. It's actually not a bad idea. If it's at any Children's Hospital though, you know they're great doctors.
well exactly Kathi, they have to have GREAT crudentials to even be excepted at the children's hospital.... this particular doctor ended up being the onee that diagnosed my nephew w/ terrets after my sister brought him to 7 different doctors... he changed his meds, and he has been fine since....
he is very young, probably mid 30's... has a glass eye from an accident, long pony tail, looks like a homeless person.... looks are deceiving... he's wonderful...
Gabbi calls him "the doctor with the broken eye"... she loves him... completely opens up to exactly what her body is doing to her.... the most information she's said so far... so that is a plus...

he sounds like a fantastic doctor, even though he doesn't look the part. if you're lucky enough, you'll have him for a very long time. i have two doctors that I've had for 15+ years, one of which is my neurologist :) Some doctors have it, I swear (speaking of the Terrets). I have a condition that MY OWN neurologist couldn't put his finger on, and I've seen him for almost 20 years. He sent me up to see one of the top Kaiser Neurologists in Los Angelese...Marci, by the time I got out of that appointment, I had, written on a piece of paper, the diagnosis of what I have. I was extremely skeptical, because I hadn't had a diagnosis in the 36 years I've had this. (this was two years ago). Looked it up on the internet....AND IT WAS DEAD ON!! I'd never been so happy in my life.
Sorry for the long-winded speech, but I was wanted to share with you a little about me.
that's great that Gabbi is so comfortable with him; and that at six years old she's knows exactly what's going on and can articulate it.
and you do, brenda, you have to be an advocate. I cannot tell you guys what an education i have gotten over my medical issues.
I miss Crystal already, and she's not even gone yet, officially.
yes, Kathi, no one wanted to do anything until I started bitchin and screaming that what she was doing was not a normal child just throwing up over sinus'.... I was lucky to have a great pediatrician that did send me all over trying to find something out.
at least you know now what is going on with you and you can get a the right health road... :)

Yeah, tina, i'm feeling better; had a little anxiety a couple nights ago, but i'm doing ok now, thank goodness. right now, i'm waiting for some people to come...i think i've sold my mobility scooter..YAHOO!!! I DID, I DID SELL MY SCOOTER!!!; the people just came over, gave me the money, wrote them a "receipt" and off the went. i'm $325 richer (well, this goes into the vegas fund); in fact, i'm off to the bank in a bit to deposit it into my savings. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
leigh ann, did your sisters have any comment on the info i gave you regarding your mom? your mom'll be fine..as soon as she gets used to where she's at right now; there's definitely an adjustment period; be prepared though...she may not comply right away because it is something new to her; call me whenever you want to talk... at my parents right now, having my dad help me with my taxes :(

wow on the soccer game.. such athletes...
we worked in the yard all afternoon, blowing the leaves out the flowerbed... cutting clovers.. we spread weed and seed... and Mike weedeated...
Gabrielle and I had our one on one shopping day... she got.....
tennis shoes, an Easter dress, 3 summer outfits, 3 pairs of flip flops, bows, 2 summer shirts, a back pack, and a barbie toy...and who knows what I forgot about.... spent lots of $$$$$$$ on that girl! then we go and eat at las Palmas.. a mexican restaurant..
afterwards she says, hey I got a good idea, I say what? she says....
lets go shopping!!!!
I said, you spent all my money already....!!!!!

OMG; she's starting already at SIX?????? could hardly wait to see what she's like as a teenager wanting to go shopping....
yup, the vegas fund is getting up there...have $626 and some change; the problem is IT'S BURNING A FUCKING WHOLE IN MY POCKET...just went out yesterday and bought a bluetooth thing for my phone (which is somewhat of a necessity), got lunch and saw a movie (go and see college road trip with martin lawrence/raven simone/donny osmond....it's really cute; but this money is gonna be the death of me, i swear think i'm gonna give it all to my mom to hold on to it until we go; and i can still give her a little each month to add to it; have to think about it.......
