Angela, I SO wanted to get pics...but, it didn't work out:( When Paul came home and told me that he told Byron about the pics (I wanted him to drive and me take pics so we didn't have to park) I died laughing! I would have had more time if I would not have had to touch up my gray roots! Geez, they just don't get it! Great Job, again. BTW, I can barely get my kids to just soccer - how do you do it with all of those sports going on at the same time? I am not looking forward to the scale...I was bad today, but I had a blast!

I hope everyone does great with the weigh in today. I hit my goal weight (actually 2 pounds under) so now it is maintenance. That's the easy part. I told Leigh Ann, I think losing weight is one of the hardest things a person ever has to do. I am using a measuring tape and how my clothes fit to help keep track too. Otherwise, I obsess. Never hurts to scare the hell out of yourself by keeping your bikini dusted off, either. I hope to spend a lot of time in mine this summer! There is a difference between fitting in it, and totally rocking it! :) I am getting there.

Now I just wear a sign that says "save the whales..harpoon a fat chic!!" j/k but seriously it is amazing that you are in such good shape ..I am still trying at running but not rally succeeding so far. yesterday I did walk 6 miles though!!
Crystal, that is awesome that you walked 6 miles! That takes endurance! And if you can do that, you can't be in that bad of shape. Walking is such a great overall exercise, and it doesn't pound on your joints like running. My feet and knees hurt, even after investing in "good shoes".
You cracked me up about Michael Jackson being on the charts. I was a skinny girl then, who was shy about a bikini because my brother told me I had bony legs. Mean kid! That's okay, he defended me lots later with the boys. Never liked any of my boyfriends!

Angela, Yes I died laughing about the pics - I had grand plans:) Girls - I weighed in...ugh, gained a little! On Wednesday, I was down 1.5, guess I let the end of the week and the weekend catch up me...I worked out everyday last week! 350 calories on cardio, every third day with weights, either legs or arms/back and everyday of core! Damn, what else does a girl have to do?
Nice, Brenda!!! I would love to be able to totally kick the caffeine, but unfortunately, I cannot. I don't think they would like me at work! I did get it down to 1 cup of coffee a day!

I have mixed feelings about this weigh in. I need the ticker to move back to total 1 lb lost. It looks like I gained, but if you remember last Monday I had scale issues. If I go by what it was saying then, I'm even for the week. So while the ticker goes backwards, I think it's a draw with the scale this week.
I'm going to focus on the good. I put on a pair of capris that I love Friday. They kept falling down because I didn't put a belt on. I've not had to put a belt on these capris before. I'm due to take my measurements next week, so based on the capri test I think it will show my hard work.
I got over 6 hrs of exercise in since Monday including almost 10 miles and nearly 3000 cal burned.
I wonder if all the salt on those Chili's chips I scarfed last night were making me retain some extra water. Whatever. Like I said - it's a good week with a draw at the scale!
Dern it...my post disappeared. Anyway, Angela - damn the scale, you had an incredible week and ended it with a 5K. Obviously, you are losing inches, cause those capri's need a belt. Nicely done. Check your ticker...had I goofed before - just want to make sure I am accurate.
Stephanie - My time was SLOW. There were old ladies in knee braces that finished before me. But in fairness to me, I had planned to go out there and jog like I had trained with the Couch to 5k program. And because that was my game plan, I started in the back where the walkers were. The old ladies with the walkers were up front! ;D
I let the masses get going before I started. My pace was 13.23 mi and I timed it at 42.35min. Not exactly the 6.46min pace that the first place lady in my age group clocked. But she was apparently a phenom because there was over a 2.5min gap before someone else in my group finished. And there were 10 other ladies in my age group behind me. I think that pace is just a tad faster than power walking! :o) If I had jogged the whole thing I think I would have been able to get it under 11.
I think that should be a next goal - jog the whole 5k.
Leigh Ann - I checked and the ticker is right. Thank you. I just knew that stupid scale was going to give me the finger this week.
I'm glad for this blog. I know I'm making progress but if I'd been doing this by myself, I think I would have thrown up my hands in defeat by now.
I'm going to look at back at my food log for some clues. It might not all be due to what I'm eating, but when I'm eating. Although those chips were darned awesome and I got salsa staines on my shirt! :o)
Looks like with the rain we are just going to hang home for SB. Maybe I'll watch it from the exercise bike. Gotta see the commercials!

I only ran 22 miles this week. How does the ticker work for negative mileage once you hit your goal?
